Olympia Phantom One-Piece Suit

When compared to the competition, the Olympia Phantom Suit offers unmatched levels of quality, venting and waterproof protection. Its 2000 denier reinforced Cordura shell and seam-sealed waterproof/breathable membrane enhance its function while five exterior pockets keep your personal gear safe and dry. As temperatures heat up you’ll cool down by utilizing Phantom’s exclusive AVS shoulder to forearm and torso venting system. This system offers special water-tight zippers that when open, create major airflow directly to a rider’s body. For cold weather rides, Phantom is also equipped with a removable Thermolite insulated one piece jump suit liner. Standing, boot on entry is a snap thanks to Phantom’s heavy duty torso to knee and full length side leg zippers.

Great suit so far

Ive had this suit since around October before the cold, used it without the liner until the temp got to below 60 than put the liner in and went comfortably thru the winter with temps in the low 20's. Definitely worth buying

I have had the opportunity to test this suit.

When I start riding again, I will buy this suit again. I would recommend this suit to any one. This suit is worth every penny.

water tight and warm

Somehow as soon as I got the suit the weather was foul every day. not fun riding but good time to test water proofing. the Olympia website had tips for keeping water out (zippers all the way up etc) suit performed well, warm and dry on 3 hour ride. good suit! you cant touch this quality for the money.

I love everything about this suit

I ride a Triumph Daytona (bullet bike) and I've been riding since February with the help of this suit. I love the fit. I bought a medium, 5'10" tall, and weigh about 160. The pads sit just right in all eight or so places. The liner Velcro’s in so you don't have to put it on separately from the outside. I've riding in the rain with my suit and nothing underneath got wet after a 45 minute ride to work. I love the comfort of it.

Love it

Have a closet bulging with jackets and riding gear, but only wear this suit now. Lots of options on venting, and fit is perfect [interior armor lines up exactly with shoulders, knees, elbows etc]. 6'3'' 225 lbs. Got a kick out of slipping this over anything from dress clothes ,pajamas, or a bathing suit. "Scotch Bright" reflective accents really light up at night or dark days. Havent used the liner yet, would have to be very cold.

Not so great, great

IF... IF it's in the trailer when it rains!!! 240 cold wet miles today. After arriving at the destination hotel, I dried a bit, warmed a bit, and donned the Phantom. Then out into the weather to do some errands. It was 42 degrees, 20mph winds and doing 60mph on my Spyder. TOASTY and dry! I love it! Moral- it is a horrible product... IF it is left in the trailer and not worn! BUT... when it's worn, it cures what ails you :)

Great suit

Been wearing for about 5 years now, with very few complaints. Very near waterproof. Comfortable with plenty of pockets. Sizing is on the small size, e.g. if you fill out an XL, then you'll need a XXL. Biggest complaint is the velcro flap that covers the main zippers, it catches and hinders donning of the suit. If Olympia would replace zipper with a waterproof one the flap would not be needed. Comfortable in temps up to about 80 degrees, higher and all riding suits will have you overheating.

one sad flaw

Over all I've found the suit to be worth well beyond the price. However, the sleeve vents allow water to leak through where the zipper closes at the top of the sleeve. Had the velcro been continuous along the length of the sleeve vent, I feel that this would not be an issue. If that were remedied this suit could count itself a top performer with aerostitch and klim for a fraction of the cost.

No air circulation

The suit keeps me warm, sort of. I perspire when I'm getting into it, and then on the ride, the perspiration gets cold. It’s chilly. The liner is too much. I've finally found the combination that works. I have a liner from one of my other jackets that fits the zippers in the top of the suit. It’s now zipped into the suit. And, I wear my fleece pant liners to keep my legs warm. And, I wear my insulated vest on my torso. That worked very well this morning, at 33 degrees F.

Big Bird

Everyone who I have had the pleasure of speaking with has stated that I am clearly visible. Certainly the point of the Neon Yellow phantom suit I purchased. Having stated that it has proved to be weather worthy, I have worn it as low as 23 degrees and in some light rain. As my ownership matures and time passes we shall update this review.

not so waterproof

As some of you know, when it rains in texas, it rains. I bought the suit early spring 2012 and found out that my arms and bottom are getting soaked everytime. Check for obvious defects but cant find any so I am at a loss as to what is wrong with the suit. On the good side, due to its very well design venting. I am able to partially (can't ventilate around the bottom area) dry up in 3 or 4 hours of dry riding.

Steer Clear

Sorry folks. This suit reviewed well so I bought one. I hadent even used it, I only tried it on twice and one of the seams came apart. I cant recommend this suit and I'm not looking to buy another. Maybe this suit is the one lemon in the whole bunch, but I got it.
