The bike handles better than I thought it could. The FJR's are quite a heavy sport touring bike but the tires grip so well it feels much lighter. This is the first set I have owned and I don't have many miles on them so I don't know about the long haul but so far I'm very satisfied.
This is the second Pilot Road 2 I have bought and I am completely satisfied with these tires. I went to this tire due to the lifespan of usual sport bike tires being so low. I got 6k miles out of the first one so I was pretty pleased as I only got 3k out of the Metzler I had before. Great tire with great grip just takes a minute to warm up. Will definitely buy again.
I just moved up from the PR-2 to the PR-4 and love them. These seem to give a little drift when wanted, if that makes sense. I have them mounted on my 2012 Ninja 650 which I commute with...which adds a little color to each day of my miserable working life. I like these tires albeit the front looks like it's been attacked by a razor wielding artist...they work. I have only had them in the water after a rain, but even that felt controlled.
This is my 2nd PR4GT. It replaces my first one, which got a puncture in Kings Cyn NP. It lost all its air, but kept going 20 miles before I could stop- it lost some tread depth and was very hot, but I was able to keep going. Now the new one has 900 miles after a trip to watch WSBK at Laguna Seca, and it worked like a champ on rain-soaked roads and campsite trails. It, along with the PR4-Trail is my favorite set for the Stelvio, and I may choose PR4s for my Street Triple R come winter.
Good results for my 1996 Special Edition 1500 Goldwing. 5 star stability, 5 star cornering. Haven't rode on wet pavement yet.
I live in Ca. no rain in several years to speak about. I haven't put enough miles on my bike to rate for tread life.
