Product Information

GMAX GM54S Modular Street Helmet

Quite possibly GMax’s best kept secret, the GM45S Modular helmet hides an impressive amount of features under its very low price tag. Literally standing out from its competition, the GM54s comes with a three position LED light bar integrated into the back of the shell. Alternating between steady, slow and fast flash, the light makes a big difference in visibility during night riding. Venting-wise adjustable air vents are in no short supply and can be seen prominently across the chin, forehead and rear. The drop down sunshield is a one finger operation and with the flip up chin bar locking metal to metal, the action is smooth and light. All things considered, if you’re looking at a flip up helmet this GMax should be one to think about.
  • Optional L.E.D. Brake Light Kit: Transmits your bikes brake light wirelessly and activates L.E.D. light on helmet, sold separately
  • New inner flip tint sun lens is easily raised or lowered with lever located on the exterior of the helmet
  • Distortion free clear single lens shield
  • Integrated multi-function red L.E.D. rear light
  • Push to open jaw mechanism is effortlessly raised and lowered with one hand
  • Lightweight D.O.T. approved thermo-plastic poly alloy shell

  • Adjustable chin vent directs air upward across the inside of the shield to help reduce or eliminate fogging
  • Large eye port for improved range of vision

Killer for the price, a little heavy.

Amazing value, I wish it was lighter.

Comfortable helmet

I have been away from motorcycling for about 10 years. Bought this to get back into riding and really like the comfort. I did have to buy a size larger to fit my long oval head.

Not a bad helmet, but you get what you pay for

I purchased one of these from the local dealer the day before I went to pick up my Hayabusa (last couple days of March 2016). Logged about 700 miles on the bike thus far, and overall, the helmet has been great, short of the lever that raises the front of the helmet snapping off already less than 6 weeks from purchase. I've contacted the company to see what can be done. Otherwise, it's been a good helmet. Nice airflow, not bad about fogging, the light in the back is a nice feature, and it's exceptionally comfortable to wear. I would still buy it at that price point, but be forewarned, be extremely gentle with all of the levers to open things, they're not too sturdy!

Good helmet for the $

Great airflow. Feels somewhat cheap, but not too bad. Modular system uses brass hardware, that's a plus. Hurts my forehead a little but that's just a head shape problem I think.

Good looking helmet but feels inferior quality

I received this helmet and my first impression was positive; the looks, the features, the color (high visibility green) and everyone on the road has to do with the helmet. I can't lie: the helmet seems to be taken from a copter cockpit. But my main complaint is how inferior the quality feels in respect to other brands. My older helmets feel of a much superior quality... and have 3-4 years of usage. I was installing my Sena headphones and the two screws holding the internal pads; had to use glue to put both screws back. I'm sure this helmet won't last long, not even a year.

Great Helmet

This is a great looking and good fitting helmet but also a very heavy one. The quality looks to be good. Can't wait to wear on long ride and see how it does.

Perfect Helmet for Me

I love the many features on this helmet. I've never had one this nice with built in Sun shade that's retractable and the red LED lights on back of helmet with 3 settings! Very comfortable for! Quality product to be sure!

Very nice helmet

I saw a guy with this helmet and really liked it so I ordered one for myself. The fit was great. I really like the flat black look. The drop down sun visor is a really nice feature to have. It's nice to be able to pop open the front of the helmet to talk to someone without having to take the helmet off. There are lots of air vents to help keep you cool and the red LED on the back of the helmet is nice feature.

GMAX G54S HELMET

Great helmet, great fit, and love the inner sun visor. No need for sunglasses. Best part of the helmet is the ventilation.

Good Helmet, great value

Very good airflow. Air dam under chin is a bit of a pain when closing the helmet - you need to use both hands. I've had other modular helmets that didn't require that. But that's my only complaint, and for the money this is a very good value.

Can't be beat for value.

Best bang for my buck than I have had in quite some time. Was a little skeptical because of price, but I am so glad I made the buy. The fit could not be better if it were tailor made. Been riding for 30 years and have had no better air flow from a modular style head gear. Those facts alone made it a great buy. If there is any short coming, it is a little heavier than most. I won't recommend it for those that spend long continuous hours riding. I already told other riders to try it out.
