    Fly Racing Trekker DS Helmet

If your idea of motorcycle riding includes equal parts of twisty two lane roads and technical off-road riding, then the Fly Racing Trekker DS Helmet is pretty much right up your alley. Built to accommodate the unique needs of both the street and dirt, the Fly Trekker features a visor that is aerodynamic enough to do highway speeds and a large face shield that works with dirt bike style goggles. There is no shortage of venting either, sixteen total, so even if you are riding difficult dirt roads you won’t over heat. Whether you ride adventure touring or dual sport, the Trekker has all the features but at a substantially lower price than some of its competitors.

    Features:
    • ADVANCED POLY ALLOY SHELL CONSTRUCTION – combines high-strength poly materials to create an aggressive design that is durable and lightweight
    • DUAL-DENSITY EPS LINER
    • ADJUSTABLE INTAKE AND EXHAUST VENTS – sixteen (16) total vents (eight intake, eight exhaust) circulate a large volume of airflow to help keep your head cool. Adjustable vents include: one mouthpiece, two brow, and two rear
    • DOT AND ECE 22/05 APPROVED – meets or exceeds DOT and ECE 22/05 helmet standards
    • UNIQUE VISOR SHAPE – allows for use of goggles when the shield is in the open or closed position
    • OPTIONAL VISOR ELIMINATOR KIT AVAILABLE – allows you to remove the visor while retaining all the features of the shield
    • MULTI-POSITION, RATCHETING FACE SHIELD – allows for quick opening or closing while wearing riding gloves
    • REMOVABLE AND WASHABLE COMFORT LINER AND CHEEK PADS – help keep the interior of your helmet clean and fresh with the “Quick Snap” system
    • Item # 36189

I bought this and was disappointed with the quality, i would save up and buy a nicer helmet if i could again, might be spoiled from wearing my shoei, but even my cheap KBC is a million times better than this Fly helmet, wont buy a fly product again.

Fly Racing Trekker DS helmet maybe keep looking....

have owned helmets by HJC,Bell,Shoei, and KBC.This is my last Fly product, not expecting a lot from this helmet at the $125 paid for it,even still the worst part is the fit and finish, The under part of the visor is still rough plastic, the pieces do not fit well together on both sides, both sides do not even look the same around the visor, inside material is not well held together, the vents that are cut out are jagged and not evenly cut. There is no air flow,

Fits great and is quite comfortable. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a helmet. Fits tight at first but fits better after being worn a while.

Good helmet for the money. Lots of airflow, but too noisy for streaming music or bluetooth operation unless you're at very low speeds.

In general the helmet is a good value at the price. They seem to run small, I wear a Shoei medium on the track but found the FLY medium was way too small. Exchanged it for a large, which is still snug, but better. Some pressure points at the forehead, which I hope will go away with break-in. The cheek pads are quite large compressing my face a bit. In the up position, the lower edge of the visor is right in the sight line. On the plus side, it is surprisingly quiet, light, and looks good.

Not Much to Add - Great Helmet, Unbeatable Value

Out of the box the FLY Trekker was as advertised- light, great fit and looks great. I wear a 7 1/4 hat and the medium provided a perfect and comfortable fit. Ventilation and visibility are fantastic. I do not have any issues with the larger shield and the complaints of others with peripheral distortion. The greatest advantage other high end brands offer is their modular pad design in providing a more custom (when necessary) fit. For me- it was a non-issue making it the obvious choice.

order this helmet today, order it one size bigger then you normally wear

This is a great helmet, the fit is great and the visibility is outstanding. At speeds above 70 it does tend to "pull" a little bit but not bad. I use the helmet during the early spring and it didn't fog up like my other helmets did. During the summer months the ventilation is great and its not real hot in the helmet. If you are looking for a dual sport helmet this is the one you want. Just remember they run smaller than normal so order one size up.

I loved how I could wear my goggles with the shield. I could easily have the lens down when I was getting splashed. Then up for more air flow. On that I had to use my no fog mask to keep the lens clear at cold temps. Otherwise looks and fit great. Wish the visor adjusted up and down a bit. It's solid. At high speed the helmet wants to pull up.

ORDER A SIZE BIGGER, I HAD TO RETURN FOR A BIGGER SIZE

Helmet showed up in about 5 days and it looks good, has vents all over the place, and is very light. I tried to put it on my head and I could not get it on. I thought it was a youth size and I had to check, but I was an adult medium. My head is a 22 1/2, I wear a size 7 1/8 hat (I'm in the Army so I know my size) and I could not even get this helmet on my head. My wife tried and she wears a XS and she said it was very tight. I have 6 helmets and I wear a medium in all of them except this one, I'm going to return it for a large and hope that one fits. Other then that it seems like a nice helmet.

This helmet works great and is very light. It has great air flow and doesn't let too much in on the colder days with the vents closed. You will need to buy a size larger than you usually do. The visor doesn't distort the field of view at all and the visor is great to have when you're group riding. The look is sleek and sharp. Rode in the rain with it and all the vents open and didn't get a drop of water in my helmet. I would buy it again.
