Warm

I have had my thermo suit for 2 years and it is the best for cold weather. I ride my bike down to 15 or 20 degrees and stay warm with just pants and shirt underneath. I use heated glove liners and insulated hunting boots and ride all winter. Well worth the money and my bike don't have to set in cold weather.

Absolutely Fabulous

I have warn this for over 2 years now. Absolutely no issues. I have warn it in 9 degree temps on a motorcycle. Just shirt and jeans underneath. Nice and toasty. Too warm when temps are above 60 degrees. Sturdy material. No tears yet. I recommend this to every motorcycle rider I know. I will buy another if this every wears out (not likely anytime soon).

First Gear suit

I wear this suit in cold weather when flying my open cockpit aircraft. It works very well to keep me warm. Adding the heated vest and gloves and I can fly in the coldest weather and still be warm.

Good Product

I've only had my suit for a short time but I have worn it in light rain, and 40 degree weather. It is comfortable, warm and slips on and off easy which were my main needs.

This best piece of gear you will ever own!

This is by far the best piece of gear that I own. I wear this with jeans, long sleeve shirt and a garbing heated liner and ride the entire year. I log over 25K a year and it is all possible because of this suit! The waterproofing could use a bit of an improvement, but this suit is completely wind proof. I took the elastic out of the bottom of the legs and it fits even better!

Love this suit!!

I wear this suit when I go to work early in the morning. I am comfortably warm in 40° weather with just jeans and a long sleeve shirt underneath. Love this suit and glad I bought it. Definitely worth the money I spent.

One piece thermo suit.

I got the suit med according to the size chart. I 5'7" about 155lbs. I have at tall trunk and short legs. I wore the suit on two runs in about 40°. It was like not so warm as I hoped. Sorry I'll still had to use all my electric gear under to stay warm. I ride mostly everywhere. I just need a different size. Thank you.

Great Suit!

Man is this thing warm. I went on a 2 hour ride with a lot of highway speeds at 30 degrees or below. I was warm the entire time and I only had my riding jeans and a long sleeve shirt on underneath. I highly recommend. The only negative which is a minor issue is in the ankles. The fit is too tight when covering riding boots. It's difficult to zip together. A velcro strap like the ones on the waste would be highly beneficial to allow the leg to be fully zipped and then the velcro to fully tighten. The rest of the suit is great.

First Gear Thermal suit

Well worth the money , tried the medium and it was too snug across the chest with the heated liner . Went with the large , this was much better . The lack of no power cord exit was no big deal due to the double leg zipper , 24" power cord extension and the super sealing Velcro . Me .. 5' 6" , 34" waist @ 170lbs , in there like swim wear !! Must get me a full face , it was 27*

Happy in KY

I bought this suit about a month before Christmas because it is cold enough already to wear it. I asked family to not give me gifts this year, just money towards the suit. They did. Best present ever! I rode in rain. I ride in temps down to 27 degrees. The suit kept me warm and dry. About 60 mph for 30 mile commute, one way, very early in the morning when the frost is on. Outside pockets are awesome for keys, wallet, I.D., etc. No searching inside or breaking the seal on the heat! Some reviews said zipper broke. There is a lot of material and industrial Velcro along the zippers to ensure wind protection. It's necessary and it works. I don't think you can just yank the zipper like you can on most things. You just have to take it slower and keep the material free from the zipper. Also try to keep both sides fairly close together while zipping so there's no force on the zipper. It is very much worth the extra 30 seconds of effort. High neck with Velcro is great- could be just a bit larger around for tucking face covers in. Sleeves with Velcro straps close tightly to allow long gloves to slide right over. Elastic pant leg bottoms are strong and hold tight around boot tops. I love it and it works great! I would recommend it to friends and family.

The hype is all true!

First things first: I'm about 5'7", 190lbs - pot bellied. The Large I ordered is a maybe an inch or two long in the legs but that's not a problem due to the elastic cuffs. The fit otherwise is fantastic, I can get in and out of it easily without feeling like I'm getting in or out of a straitjacket! I read the reviews for this suit and thought that all these people must be on crack. The suit might be good, I thought, but can it be THAT good? When it arrived, I stripped down to my skivvies, put on the suit, and went for a ride in the mid-30s night. I came back to my house a true believer, converted to The Firstgear Way. My thirty minute ride to work this morning was in the mid-20s in city traffic, so nothing above 30mph. My hands, feet, and face were cold but the rest of my body was perfectly comfortable. Worth every penny!

First Gear Thermo suit

This is my second First Gear Suit. First Gear sizing is large compared to other companies. I am 5 ft 8 inches; 160 pounds and a medium is big. I probably could use a small, but then I could not layer protection underneath. I use this to commute about 15 miles to work. I have used it with temps to 25F and stay warm. I would ask First Gear that they put interior pockets to place shoulder, elbow,, hip, back and knee armor by the user. This would not increase the production costs by too much but allow the user to utilize armor. The down side of this suit is its lack of armor. I would recommend this product.

FirstGear Thermo Suit

I am 5 foot 9 inches, 150 pounds. I ride a sport bike. Not much windshield to hide behind. I wanted a suit that would keep me warm and dry with minimal clothing on underneath. I ordered this suit in a medium because I didn't want it to be baggy. The fit is better than I expected. I would guess if you are any taller than me or more than 40 pounds heavier then you need to order a large or bigger. I have tested twice in a good heavy rain for 30 mins each time with zero leaks. Completely dry. In 28F degrees at 70mph for 45 minutes with just a hoody and thin pants and was nice and warm inside this suit. Some of the best money I ever spent. Get this suit, some good gloves, boots, and a balaclava and ride all year long! Superfast shipping by motorcycle superstore as always!
