Product Information

Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact Sport Touring Front Tire

  • Multi Zone Tension technology, new updated tread profiles and functional tread pattern place the Z8 Roadtec Interact at the top of the sport touring tire class
  • 8% wider final footprint area than its predecessor due to the variation of steel belt tensions and a strategically placed tread pattern which optimizes pressures in the footprint area
  • Innovative tread pattern, a widened and more elliptical footprint and a host of wear-resistant technologies not normally seen in motorcycle tires give the Roadtec Z8 Interact its best-in-segment mileage and optimal wet performance throughout the tires life
  • New patented tread pattern with strategically placed longitudinal central grooves provide ideal drainage for more than 3/4 of all lean angles in the wet. The remaining tread grooves work to add tread flexibility, extending the footprint for stability in the dry
  • Giving the best wet performance in the sport touring segment, Metzeler has pioneered Interact technology using M/O specifications to allow for variable tensions in the tire carcass. A higher tension in the center increases rolling resistance and mileage, while softer tension on either side allows for superb cornering grip in both wet and dry conditions
  • Updated design improves wear regularity which gives riders the benefit of a consistent riding performance across the tires entire life
  • (W)-rated for speeds of 168+ mph
  • Tubeless
  • Blackwall

**Note: 120/70ZR-17 M is a 58W rated tire.

Model Specific Fitment:  120/70ZR-17 E fitment for Honda NC700X.

Still the best tire and confidence

The best tire for the bike, high confidence and reliability. I live where it rains a lot, no fear of it breaking loose when riding mature. The bike came from the factory with the Z6, I’ve moved up when the newer ones were upgraded.

Metzler interact Z8 tires

This is the second set of these tires on my R1200RT BMW. Absolutely a phenomenal tire , I ride hard and wet or dry they hold the road in twisties like they are glued to it. 1/4" chicken strip or less doesn't matter, same sure footed traction.

Excellent Road Tire

Running these Z8's on my BMW R1200RT and am very pleased with performance. Motorcycle Superstore's rocket fast shipping is a real plus.

Metzeler Roadtec Z8

Its difficult to give an accurate assessment, given I only have a few hundred miles on this tire, however, so far it behaves very well and makes my 03 Concours feel planted rain or shine. I only wish Metzeler made a tire to fit the rear. I would recommend this to a friend.

great tires

Everyone recommended q2 or q3 tires. As a girl who loves to ride, I needed more research and info about the performance and function. Motorcycle Superstore's first question was "what are you doing with your sv650?" Upon being told that I commuted to the gym and the fire house, and would ride in the winter (as long as the temp is 37 or above), they suggested these. Previous tires were dunlop. These have been great. Waiting to see how they perform in the cold.

Get These Tires!

I've been using a Z8 on the rear for about a month. I ride daily, and sometimes several times per day. The tires still look brand new with about 1,000 miles on them. I ride a '13 Concours 14 with ABS, I have tested this tire in the rain and it seems to defy physics. On my previous bike I ran the Sportec M3 and while it was satisfactory for a ZZR600, this tire takes it to the next level. You will not regret buying this tire.

great tire

I installed this tire on my ST1300 and drove it 834 miles in sun and rain. Smooth, steady, and great in the rain! While I don't have a real sense of actual tread life, there was zero wear on my first 834 miles. I love this tire.

Awesome

My husband just loves these tires, hug the mountain roads great, not sure on tread life yet just got them but will let you know. He is very pleased so far if we can get good miles out of them they will definitely be the tires we put on our 2004 BMW R1100R for the rest of the time we own the bike, Thanks for making a great tire.

A Good Choice

I'm on a BMW 2004 K1200RS with all the bags mounted and love these tires. They just don't waver in the wet. I'm watching the tread wear closely and keep the pressure exact. Seems some Michelin's wear better still than the Z8's. I will continue to use the Z8's as I like the confidence they instill in all weather. Pricing/shipping is good through this store too!

Z8 Metzlers

Overall very nice tires. Smooth compliant, sticky in the twists and good on wet pavement. Only disappointment, they seem to wear quicker yet than the old Z6 Metzlers which so far are a favorite.

Makes my Ducati like new again. Don't try cheap tires because it will just waste your money.

Z8 Metzler tires on BMW K1300S

I took a trip to paonia, colorado, this summer. I came back by way of Pikes Peak and the ride up and down was great. Dispite the rain, sleet and hale and lightning that was happening on the way down. Highway 24 coming east from Pikes Peak is pretty curvy and it was no issue in the rain storm. I am putting a second pair Z8 on my bike when the super store gets some more rear tires for it. These are the best tires that I have had in alot of years. C Thierling

Great tires, superb price, shipped instantly for free

I am sold on these tires. I have tried the Z6, Z6 hybrid and now the Z8. All corner well out the the edge of the chicken strip where you scrape pegs and boots with confidence.

Z6s fore Z8s

Riding the back roads of Napa county on BMW K 1200 rs the Z6's went sour in 4000 miles. So time to try the Z8's. Stability, cornering seems fine - traction too, tread life unknown. My only peeve is that it seems a bit iffy on tar snakes on hot days. Motorcycle Superstore has the best price & shipping from boots to tires.
