Great jacket! Great price!

I got this jacket in the black/black option. Fit and finish were great. Zippers were a good size and functioned well. The removable outer rain shell is great. The inside of the jacket has a fleece "vest" that zips in/out and packs away easily. Lots of pockets. The elbow and spine protection is well placed. This jacket is well-made and versatile for changing weather conditions. Well worth the money.

Great All Season Jacket

I love this jacket. The removeable outershell is awesome. At 6'4" 240lb the XL Tall was a perfect fit. I can wear it over my police uniform and vest and its not too tight. The ability to remove the outershell and stuff in a backpack or hard luggage for cold or wet weather is outstanding. It offers acceptable protection in the rain and the vents on the outershell do a surprisingly good job keeping you cool if needed.

Joe Rocket Alter Ego Jacket

The outer rain liner is a big advantage over my previous Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 with the inner rain liner. It quickly transfroms from a winter jacket to a hot summer mesh jacket. The jacket looks great and is well made. The shoulder, elbow, and back pads fit and are in the right places. My previous Joe Rocket jacket is holding up well, and I trust this one will also. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a winter, summer, and rain jacket with protection.

great jacket

Jacket is warm in 40 degree weather, with a t-shirt and lightweight fleece. Rode in light rain today, stayed dry. Have the hi-vis version, and I feel alot more visible. Blocks wind really well. My only complaint is the fleece vest. It has nothing to hold the bottom down so it bunches up around my back and arms when I put the jacket on. I just removed it, problem solved. Like I said, still warm at 40 degrees. Not warm enough for mesh jacket yet, but had the alter ego jacket, loved the mesh option for summer. I wear a large shirt etc, got jacket in large, fits great.

Disappointed

My experience with this jacket is from a year or two ago. I waited a long time for the Hi-Vis color to become available, and while I liked the look and finish, I found it to not be at all waterproof. Returned it for a refund.

Mr

I am very pleased with my purchase. It arrived in only 3 days which was great, but shipping is always fast with MS. The fit is perfect for me. I am 5'11" 200 lbs even. An x-large fits perfect. I have only had the jacket a couple of months, so I can't speak to durability, but I believe it will hold up well. It is well put together and the pieces zip together and apart smoothly. It is very comfortable. I have worn the mesh part in 90 degree weather with no discomfort.

Good all around jacket

Very versatile, don't know about durability yet as I've only had it for a month- given that it's a Joe Rocket, this may not be it's strongest feature. Length is good but it's big around the middle so it puffs up while seated. Great air flow- it's the best feature.

Awesome Jacket

My wife and I just travelled on the bike and it was the first time we used the jackets. We are very pleased with the versatility and fit. The shell stores in its own pouch which works very well when travelling. Would buy it again.

Good design

This modular jacket has the widest useful temperature range of any jacket I've had. With all 3 layers of the jacket assembled, I'm comfortable down to the low 40's. All heavy duty material and zippers. The zip off outer shell is not fully waterproof - after 30 minutes of drizzle, water started to seep in around the triceps area of the arms. After an hour of drizzle, my arms were quite wet. Otherwise well-made and well thought out.

Good, but...

My only complaint is that when wearing only the mesh liner, the cuff zippers always unzip allowing the cuffs to flap in the breeze. This wasn't a onetime occurrence, it's every time. Other than that, the shell is waterproof and vents well. The armor is placed well and is comfortable. There are a bunch of random threads sticking out; the finish is good but could be better for the price.

Comfortable jacket

I am currently on a road trip that has included 100 deg heat and major rain storms. The outer shell is very waterproof and the mesh coat is comfortable in high heat conditions. The only complaint is that the liner has no sleeves. I got rid of it and used the liner from another jacket

Does it all

I am 6'2 180lbs and the XL fits perfect. This jacket has kept me dry in the rain and warm during brisk morning commutes. Love the mesh for hot days! The pocket features are perfect for sunglasses/cell phone and the extra shield pocket is designed so the shield wraps around your side and you never notice it is there.

Legit Jacket

Being 6'4" 225 with an athletic build it is impossible to find an off shelf leather jacket to fit. So I got this jacket for the time being in XL. Great jacket so far. Easily breaks down for shedding layers when it warms up. Got caught in the rain the other day and didn’t get wet at ALL which I was impressed by. All around good hybrid jacket for the money and quality.
