Excellent As Well

I purchased these along with the jacket. I wear them over golf pants and jeans with no problem. I wear 34 x 30 jeans so I ordered the Large. Perfect fit. The length is just long enough to cover my shoe tops when riding. I have been in the rain twice already and the water rolls right off. Great value.

Great pants

Perfect. The only thing missing is some kind of strap around the ankle.

Alpinestars - RP-5 Rain Pants

I'm 6' tall and 225 lbs. I ordered a size XL and they fit perfect. Just rode 1000 miles in the rain on my Ducati ST4. They kept me dry and fit perfect over my jeans. Great pants for the price.

Alpinestars -RP 5 Rainpants

These rain pants are outstanding. As advertised, they will keep you dry and have a mesh liner so they won't 'stick' to you. Further, the generic silver/grey color goes with just about anything. In addition, I have read some reviews which complain that the rain pants are cut too long. Yes, they are cut long but that is EXACTLY the point: With rain pants you want as MUCH coverage as possible. Thus, it makes a lot of sense that these rain pants are cut l-o-n-g because they are the perfect length when you sit on your bike in the pouring rain. If they were NOT cut long, the bottom of your pants would get soaked. When you get off the bike just pull the rain pants up. These rain pants are also pretty tough and work very well as wind pants and 'bug armor'. Finally, the price is inexpensive for this high quality product. Nice job!

perfect!

After several attempts to get rain gear that fits like it should, these pants have done it! The fit is absolutely perfect! I am 5'11" 165 and I bought the large. And thank you Motorcycle Superstore for the superfast shipping because I will be using these now!

Excellent product

These pant are always in the backpack and they have been working great for the last 5 years whenever it rains or is a bit cold in the mornings. The pair I bought are to replace the well-worn previous pair.

Great deal!

I received my order within the time frame they said it would. Most of all I really like the pants and how well they are made. Thanks to other reviews of the product I was able to pick the best size. I am 5'11" and 205lbs., and I ordered a medium. The pants fit perfect and I stay dry and warm. I have a little extra room in the waist and the length is perfect, the large size would have been way too long. If I get any fatter the pants will be too small in the waist. Over all I am very happy with my order and would recommend this product to everyone in need of rain pants.

These pants will burn up!!

Do NOT get these pants on your exhaust or you will get both a hole in your pants as well as a black gooey spot on your exhaust. I had to pin up the legs, but I'm a midget. I will get a pair of boot straps one of these days, but they stay down in the wet weather so not a problem anyway. Wear over your rain boots if it's gonna be flooding. I sewed a patch using an ironing board cover - the metallic one - over my exhaust leg - it tends to get ravaged by the wind, but you can cut another patch - don't bother trying to glue it on as it won't stay. I wear these over my light colored pants as the road grime & oil is always getting thrown up. Tend to wear these instead of chaps on the light colored pants as the crotch can get dirty & if it rains, the chaps leach out on your pants. Will buy another pair once these disintegrate - which will NOT be any time soon.

Love these pants

I bought these to stash in my saddle bags for when it rains. I like them so much that I wear them all the time. They are very comfortable and keep you dry as well.

Alpine Stars rain pants.

Bought these along with the jacket, but actually have not used them yet in the rain. Seem well made and fit nicely. Stylish as well.

Works well but has 2 issue

I'm 5'10" 165 pounds and originally I ordered Medium but changed to Large. Good choice because although these pants are WAAAAAY too long, I never would have fit them over my riding pants if I stayed with Medium. When I'm on the bike I don't even notice how long the pants are, it is only a problem when walking. My only real complaint are the leg zippers. These things suck, it is nearly impossible to zip them up or down. These pants do work well at keeping me dry, I've ridden several times in significant rain with no problems. The pants look and work as expected if you can live with the pant length and crappy zippers . . . would I buy them again? Sure, especially for the price.

Singing in the rain

Straight forward product. Rode the last 2 days in the rain to work with no problems at all. Wear them over pants, get to work and take them off in 2 sec. and away you go. Slightly tight but most Alpinestars stuff (pants/jackets) are snug. Being 6'4 I have no problem with the pant legs being long, it's actually nice to have a pant leg still covering your leg at highway speed. I keep them rolled up in a ziplock bag under my seat and when I need them I'm ready to go. Works very well on damp cool mornings also cutting the wind and they look quite stylish with most jackets.
