What Makes Heated Motorcycle Gear and Clothing So Good?

Motorcycle Superstore salutes all riders who brave the cold and don't let the frigid conditions get in the way of their two-wheel fix. So for those who push their riding season to the limits, we offer a full selection of heated motorcycle riding gear and clothing to keep your passion burning. Here you'll find everything you need to keep your body temp up when the outside temp starts to drop.

As riders, we know that the first thing, and perhaps the worst thing, is cold hands. This makes heated gloves an easy choice for any rider's first piece of heated gear. Heated riding gloves and glove liners help your digits shift, brake and most importantly, twist the throttle! Brands like FirstGear, Venture and Alpinestars have great options for any price range and hand size.

If heated gloves aren't enough to fight the shivers, it's time to look at heated vests, jackets and pants. Using heated gloves in conjunction with other heated clothing will undoubtedly raise your core temperature and make facing those frosty winter winds a breeze. If you want to keep your current jacket, check out our great selection of heated liners and clothing from brands like Tour Master and Mobile Warming.

Now you may be asking yourself, "sounds great, but how do I power my new heated gear?"
There are two ways of getting power to your gear. One of which is by using a rechargeable battery pack. The other is connecting to your motorcycle's battery. If you plan on using one piece of heated gear, a battery pack is probably the route for you; but if you plan on using multiple pieces, connecting directly to your motorcycle's battery is the best way. Here you'll find the heated gear accessories you'll need to connect your power source to your temp control unit. We carry a wide inventory of heated gear adapters, 12 volt cables, coaxial extensions and more. If you plan on having someone join you for the ride, check out splitter cables to share the heat.

Buying heated gear isn't always cheap; however, Motorcycle Superstore always guarantees the best prices on all your favorite brands, and so far we've never been able to put a price on more seat time!

Having heated gear won't make you any less dedicated or less passionate; we're just trying to make riding in extreme cold weather conditions a little more enjoyable. So if you want to be like the rugged rider who fears no weather, or simply extend your riding season a bit, Motorcycle Superstore is the place for heated motorcycle riding gear and clothing.

heated vest

My husband thinks this vest is the greatest. It's the only one we could find that fit. He loves the big pockets and it keeps him warm while fishing.

Great Vest, Check The Sizing Chart

I've only been wearing the vest for the last couple of weeks, but I can tell you that it makes a huge difference on cold days. As other reviewers have mentioned, the controller that comes with the vest is a little big, and there isn't a really good way to mount it on your bike. The controller has a belt/pocket clip, and I have just been clipping it to my pants pocket. Be sure to check all the dimensions on the sizing chart. I am a big guy who likes the gym, and I had to go up 2 sizes to fit my chest, but the chart was accurate. The vest has a quality feel, and the seams are all well stitched. The wiring leads that come with the vest are well-made and long enough to allow for pretty much any bike/rider combination.

Nice option

Have only used it once so far. Much safer was to adjust temperature while riding. Also provides more precise temperature control. Screws that hold battery back in place could be more substantial. Nice product overall.
