Outstanding, medium sized sadles, perfect on sportster

You might want deeper bags if you have a Dyna or FX, but these are really perfect for Sportster, and I like a lot of things about them. They dress and hang perfect. They have a zipper document and other small space in the lid, and also zippered compartments on the sides. They detach, and that is a very strong and concealed attachment, I don't use. It was simple to get them tied down with the straps provided. Best fit ever. Really Like Them!

The Motocentric Saddlebags

I recieved them and sat them aside at the time. three weeks later I took them out of the box and put them on the my 1981 Yahama with the new Honda engine and have been working on for a year. The fit is o.k. but am going to have to do some alteration on the strap across the fender so the seat will latch. The first time I unzipped the left bag the zipper handle broke in two, but I expected that from the reviews I had read. I am looking forward to the other things in the other reviews.

Works Okay

It works well but the fit is hard to adjust. the first time I unzipped the left hand compartment the zipper handle broke off, however it is nicely ridged and comes with rain covers. Even with the okay fit and the zipper handle braking off I think it is still worth the cost.

Poor quality at best

This was my second set of motocentric bags. Given the price point, I was holding my expectations fairly low. The first set held up well for two full seasons. They finally gave out when all of the stitching attaching the bag to the saddle blew out, jettisoning all of the contents into the ditch. The new set I ordered started falling apart while I was installing them on my bike. Stitching pulled and completely failed on two of the " belt loop " style nylon straps that keep one of the two main Velcro saddle straps lined up. The top zipper on the left bag completely failed within a week of putting them on. There will not be a third set of these bags in my future.

horrible

I would not recommend using this product. It's only still on my bike until I can afford to buy something better. The bags are poorly made and do not fit like they are supposed to.

06 V-rod, great fit

I finally broke down and bought bags and the price was good on these, looked like they'd fit, so I went for it. I'm glad I did. I have a 2006 V-rod that's lowered an inch in the rear with an 11.5 inch wide passenger seat. The seat helps keep the bags up and out, though the stock seat would let them sit against the fender a little better and not fold in as much at the bottom. I haven't bothered with a frame or guards of any type, as the bags sit far enough off the wheel and rear brake (but it's close). I used my shock mount on the frame and my rear turn signals (it still has the stock "dogs ass," or license plate mount; look it up) to loop the clips around, and has worked perfectly so far. Something else to note, they have a rubberized coating on the fender side of the bags. My bike is flat black, and I hardly ever wash it, so rubbing is no big deal for me. If you wanted to keep your paint pretty, I'd probably come up with a frame that could bolt up to the holes for the passenger back rest or something that would protrude from under the seat. Just got back from a 600 mile overnight jaunt with speeds averaging 70 to 80 mph, and no problems. Bags have held up well so far, but I've only had them for a couple months, and don't usually have them on the bike. All in all, not a bad investment.

Pros: Holds a lot Cons: breaks easily

I've had this for about 2 years and have gone over 10,000 miles with them on. What's great is that it can hold a lot of stuff. However, the quality is not that good. Specifically, the zippers eventually broke where the bag opens as well as where the bag connects to the holsters. The price is great, but build quality could be better.

CRAP, REALLY, BELIEVE ME

The Product is crap, has fallen apart within 2 hours of riding, the zippers broke, TWICE, two different spots, not reliable at all, flimsy and the stitching falls apart fast, WITHIN TWO HOURS, yes 2 hours of street riding. I couldn't believe it. It looked good so I bought it, fit my bike, so I bought it, yadda yadda, so I bought it. Now I'm stuck with crap, in the attic. Bought Viking Bags and they have held up well in the 5K miles I've had them, looking now to update to HARD bags, no more leather, as the VIKING bags little frame around the tags that close the bag have fallen out, yes worn out. I am not hard on bags, just use them for touring.
