    It works!

It works fine. It's a bit clumsy to work with and priced too high

Watch Out For the Pin Breaking

This tool works quite well putting on a new chain; both inserting the link and riveting it. However I broke one pin while trying to cut my old very worn chain and could not push the link out with the replacement without exceeding the torque that had broken the first pin. Finally I ground off the rivet heads as suggested in several on-line videos and was able to push the pin out.

    DID Chain Tool

Everything worked out just great. I can't wait until I use this tool again, two years from now for the price. PS. just for kicks, I pushed out a pin on my new DID 530 chain,w/out grinding it down. Just to see if it could.

    Worked

It worked as it should. No instructions at all so it's a good thing somebody on youtube did a complete video on it. Once you watch it, it's easy to do. Did my B-King chain with it. I did grind the dimple off the existing chain before I popped the link because I have a grinder and the air compressor. FYI, I have no idea what the difference is between the expensive one and the one for 1/2 the price. I purchased the less expensive one and I'd recommend this product.

    great

Great product rivets and brakes chain with ease. The $100 price tag is very steep though.

    Failed on DID chain break.

Broke while trying to remove the DID master link. Obviously, I was little out of alignment. It wouldn’t have happened with a shorter chain break tool. Now I have to buy a new pin. It would be quite a problem on the road.

    Great tool!

I was impressed with how heavy duty the tool is. With a DID 530 chain, it is impossible to overtighten the master link.

    Tool failed before completing job

The tool failed 1/4 way into the job. It is obviously NOT the same quality as 'DID' chains, and did NOT perform the required tasks on a top of the line 'DID ERV3' chain. It 'might' work ok on a cheap, soft metal chain, but no way on a super hardened chain like a DID ERV3. I would NOT buy this tool if you plan on using it on a DID chain. It's NOT made in 'Japan' like DID chains are, but is made in 'China'. This tool really shouldn't have the DID name attached to it.

    Great Product

The chain breaking and rivet tool did as advertised. It is heavy duty as needed for the heavy duty chain I needed to remove and to replace with a new chain. A great addition to my tool box.

This tool is a must for true endless chain chores.

Pay the bucks and do it right guys. It could mean your life. Especially those of you (like me;?)who speedshift or stunt. DID (Japanese) did a good job on this compact all in one endless chain tool. Worked to my expectations with no failure or deformation. If you go on a trip with this, make sure you have the 2 box end wrenches to use it and a spare link. I just looked at the diagrams to use it ;)

    DID chain tool

Just did my first endless chain for my Triumph 955i speed triple. The results were impressive and the Tool worked to my expectations. It is one nice piece of steel. The 530Vm rivet link was easier with the direction Pics than the elaborate wording, probably needed for those not so "In the Know". Price was close to a Hundred bucks but the results are worth the cost, if you play on the harder side with lots O' HP. Thank you Motorcycle Superstore and D.I.D.

    Pricey, but necessary

After receiving the D.I.D. chain tool I was a bit dismayed to read a prominent "made in China" tag on the outside of the included denim storage bag. I assumed it was made in Japan, as the D.I.D. chains are. If I'd known it was made in China I might've bought one of the competing brands, also made in China, but less expensive.
