DID ZVM-X 530 Super Street Chain

D.I.D's engineers are continuously improving chain designs in order to handle tremendous horse power loads of today's high performance motorcycles. In developing the new DID ZVM-X Series, they focused on rigidity. Traditionally, tensile strength has been the bench-mark to indicate overall strength, but tensile strength is only a laboratory static measurement of a chain's fracture point. Rigidity, on the other hand, is the ability of a chain to withstand the forces that occur in the real world that rider experience. Increased rigidity means better power transfer from the engine to the ground, greater resistance to stretching under load and overall improved performance that meets the demands of our current high-power bikes and the people who ride them.

Anticipation!

Have just fitted the chain to my Period 4 Post Classic Road Race Honda powered Side Car. The first outing on it is this coming Saturday. I am looking forward to it. I bought the chain, riveted links ( as spares )and the same brand chain breaker/riveter tool. So far everything fitted well and worked well. Curious as to how much the chain will stretch. Having stated that however, I have heard very good reports regarding this chain and I am pleased with how well the chain breaker/riveter tool works.

Excellent Chain

This chain has required no adjustments in several thousand miles. It was easy to install (if you have a good tool), is smooth and quiet and looks good.

Excellent Chain

This is OEM on older CBR1000's. Got 27k off the original so of course I would buy another. Also replaced the drive sprocket. Chain is very quiet with smooth power delivery. Would recommend a decent chain riveting tool for the install, as I broke one of the fixtures on a cheap tool that I borrowed from a friend when "riveting" the master link.

awesome chain

This chain is awesome... I have about 400 miles on it so far and it has yet to have any initial stretch. Didn't realize the chain came with a rivet style master link so I ordered a spare, good thing I did though because I ended up ruining the first master on the install (this was my first time installing a chain)

Knowledge???? (2005 SV1000S)

Before I buy the chain I would like to know 2 things, How do I know what length I need, and if I only have 27000 miles on the factory chain which I lube every 600 miles and clean every 1200 miles should I also replace the sprockets with the chain? They do not look worn , but I don't want to replace a high dollar chain and then find out I should have replaced the sprockets also.??
