    KLR 650 Seat

Nice fit and finish. Went on the bike easily. Have not gone on a long ride yet, but it seems more comfortable than the stock seat.

    failed seat pan

This was a comfortable seat however the thin plastic seat pan broke in several spots. Initially the seat had a looser fit to my bike yamaha fz1 than stock. After 6 months and a bout 3k miles the bumpers that rest on the frame pushed up into the foam inside also the latch buckle broke. Definitely would not buy another.

    Sargent low seat for KLR

It didn't take very long to put on. I only said one bad word (which is good for me). It feels better than the stock seat. Looks great on the bike. I can stand flat footed now. Its cold out so I haven't had the chance to break it in. I feel it was worth the money and once I put some sitting time on it, it will work just fine.

    Better than custom KLR650 seat

My 2008 KLR650 came with a custom dish type seat. After a few hours of riding I could not get comfortable, no matter how much I squirmed around. What a difference installing the Sargent regular height seat has made. I was worried that it might add to overall seat height, but I think I actually ended up a little closer to the ground. With the super padding they use, the flatter and wider seating area I can now move around on the seat and long haul discomfort is a thing of the past.

    KlR650 regular height seat

The previous owner had installed a custom dished seat. What an improvement the Sargent seat is. Not only is the padding more comfortable, but the ability to move back and forth on the seat during long rides really increases the comfort level. After a six hour ride the seat was still feeling great. I was also worried about the new seat adding extra height, but it ended up being lower and providing better foot contact to the ground. Great improvement.

    Standard height Sargent seat

Well made and perfect fit. Wider and firmer than stock. For me, the stock seat is fine for short jaunts, but becomes painful after a few hundred miles. On longer rides, the Sargent seat is a big improvement over stock.

    I'm liking it!

Install was easy enough. It has less cushion than stock, but with better support. I couldn't ride the old seat for more than 30 min. With the Sargent low profile, I can ride for 2hrs and then some. I can almost touch my heals to the pavement when riding close to the tank and I'm 5'11".

Sargent Low Model Seat for KLR 650

This is my second Sargent seat. Just as I experienced with the first this seat is well made and quite comfortable. In addition, it reduced the bike's height sufficiently to avoid installation of shorter suspension links (dog bones).

    KLR650 seat

I got the low profile seat to help with secure flat footing - did the trick! I can ride for hours on this seat with absolutely no discomfort. Also, the wide seat is a safe place to set my helmet down when getting ready to ride. Stock seat is a recipe for dropping your helmet.

    Sargent Low Seat for KLR650

I am very happy with the seat. It is a bit wider than OEM seat so the standover does not pick up the full 1 7/8" of lowering for the "inseam challenged". It is still an excellent seat though and it widens as you go back to give you more support and seating area for long riding days.

    Sargent standard height replacement seat

I found that the seat is much more comfortable than the stock seat. The fit is as good as stock, and the appearance is also very good. I would recommend both this seat and MSS to anyone.

    Sargent Lowered Seat

I got the lowered seat. So far several hundred miles it’s far more comfortable than the stock seat. I have not tested on a long trip yet. So far so good I highly recommend.

    Returned!

The shape of the seat is wider than the stock witch kept my feet from being able to touch the ground even with the low profile seat and I’m 6ft. tall. The padding was very hard and I was good for about 30 min. until the back and butt pain started to set in. Also the seat was a little wobbly. I returned the seat and put the OEM seat back on. 2009 Kawasaki KLR650

    2009 KLR 650

New bike after 10 years not riding. Old days I rode Corbins on BMWs. Corbin unresponsive to email inquiries re KLR seats, so gave Sargent a try. Very happy with seat. Arrived in short order, I've three 300+ mile days on it so far, as well as daily commutes, and from memory would rate it at least the equal of Corbin wrt comfort. Will have to see about long-term durability, although initial inspection revealed good workmanship. Would recommend.
