My Mom used to say...

If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything at all. Don't chastise a perfectly good product just because you think it costs to much or it's got some little idiosyncrasy that doesn't line up with your life. Products cost more money because of R&D. R&D means they will work for you for many years. Five stars across the board. It functioned as it should for me, riding in a cool South Carolina morning at 40 degrees. My dual troller was set at 1/4 of the way for both my gloves and my liner and I was perfectly comfortable. I bought the first gear jacket liner and Firstgear gloves and the dual-channel controller and the system was fantastic. I am a new owner of electric gear in over 25 years of motorcycling and I think that this product is amazing. I give Firstgear and Motorcycle Superstore 10 stars for this combination. Thank you for extending my riding season.

Works Great - Very Convenient

It's so nice to be able to adjust the settings while you ride, with this wireless controller mounted on the handlebars with included velcro. Worked great for me, also nice to be able to swap between bikes.

Nice option

Have only used it once so far. Much safer was to adjust temperature while riding. Also provides more precise temperature control. Screws that hold battery back in place could be more substantial. Nice product overall.

Very Convenient

The remote controller is a bit expensive, but it sure is handy. It eliminates a set of wires, and I can mount it wherever I want to easily. It has worked just great so far (used it six or seven times at this point).

Great Product

Remote is a plus, as the controller can be secured anywhere with Velcro or kept in a pocket. Already paired at the factory.

An actual remote control.

It works with Gerbing gloves. The receiver adds a minor inconvenience as to where to put that. I currently velcro it to my gas tank, but I want to somehow stick it to my jacket.

Ride-on!

Works with my Gerbing gloves. Done deal! I'm going to make a pocket or something so I can put the receiver in/on my jacket, then just plug in the main power & gloves. I velcroed a rare-earth magnet on the controller so I can put it anywhere handy.

Firstgear Remote Dual Heattroller

Works as advertised and easy to hook up. Mounted the controller on the dash in plain sight which means no more looking down for the controls. Plug one wire into the bike and ready to go. Well worth the money.

Very convenient, easy to use

Easy to install, with one caveat. The LEDs on the receiver are so faint that I thought it did not work and sent one back. Tested the second one with a 12v tester and found it worked. I installed the controller on my brake reservoir, where I can easily see and turn it, even with winter gloves. Very convenient to just plug in the power and the gloves. I like it!

This Is the Answer

I love this item as it makes moving from bike to bike very easy. I own three bikes and nothing but a power lead and a spot to mount a little Velcro is all I need on any bike. It is so simple with full control over two heating zones within easy reach. Awesome.

Nice "remote" controller for heated gear

Only complaint is that the leads are too short, especially the power input lead. Other than that, it seems to work well - a little too early for me to be sure about the "durability" rating since I just got it but functionality is good and it seems to be a very well done device.

A great product, but reliability is very bad.

Dead battery on delivery plus unit didn't function properly. Replaced by customer service. Second one bad, too. Number three on the way, but my confidence is low. Too bad.

Firstgear Remote Dual Heattroller

I bought this as a gift for my husband to replace the wired version controller for his jacket/gloves. He mounted it on his handlebars for easy access. It works very well and is much easier to see to use.

Very handy!

I have two motorcycles so I really wanted to have this to be able to quickly swap it on my rides. I have it Velcro mounted to my dash on my sport bike and to my triple tree on my cruiser. Both locations are perfect for easy adjustment while riding. My only 'complaint' is that I bought this in fear of heat not being even throughout my socks, pants, jacket (65W) and gloves and thought I needed the dual controller for different sections of my gear. Hindsight, this was totally necessary. Only recommend buying the dual type if you're going to be riding two up with gear - but then you need to make sure your alternator can handle that much load! Last gripe was that the instructions for pairing the remote with the heat controller were not 100% accurate / slightly confusing and I spent several minutes waiting for the right light sequence which never came - even though it paired the devices.
