These bags are an excellent addition for a mid weight cruiser styled bike. I bought a set for my wife's 2007 Honda VLX 600 and they are the perfect size. We have found them to be well made and they came with inner nylon bags which help keep your items dry. Just be sure to also order the mounting brackets to keep the bags in a safe position away from the chain, tires and exhaust.
Nice bag. Really like it. I did modify it a bit. It has 3 Velcro fasteners on the top lid. One on each side and one in the front. I took scrap Velcro from where I cut off extra Velcro to secure the bag to the sissy seat back to negate the side Velcro fasteners. It was a real pain to get the bag open before I did that. If you pulled the front Velcro fastener open the sides would lock closed and when you pulled the side fasteners open the front would lock. Other than that it's a cool looking bag for odds and ends. I just use it to run around town and to carry my gloves and things.
I use my bike as a work truck, so i really beat the snot out of the bags... the first thing to go was the zipper on one side... it still zipped but was coming loose from the bag... the bottom gets chewed up pretty good as well being over the tail pipe (as one would expect)... then the second zipper went... it took 2 years to finally break them
So i decided to see what i could get that was even better... but everything else i looked at didn't have a way to lock (my tools) inside the bags
I re-bought these because they are the only bags that have a zipper pull with a metallic loop for a small padlock...
i will destroy these bags again... but this time i won't bother looking for something "better"... these will do
