Why did I wait so long?

I had always been intrigued by modular helmets. The Nolan seemed good but you can't ride with it in open face mode. Convenient, yes but still a full-face helmet on the road. I then came across the Shark Evoline II and promptly ordered it since none of my local dealers carry the brand. I received it the day before my departure to the MotoGP race at Goonie Seca. From what I've researched, weight seems to be an issue for some but I did not notice it. It's so well balanced in full-face or open-face mode that it felt no heavier than my AGV Flyer. In fact, the aerodynamics of the Evo2 were excellent. I experienced no buffeting at all with this lid in either position on my Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom with Zero Gravity screen (stock height) - at least when I compare it to my prior helmet, which wasn't bad but still noticeable. As for noise levels, I did hear a slight whistle from the top vent (as read in other online reviews) but it wasn't distracting enough to be a detriment to my purchase. It was definitely no louder than any other helmet I've owned in almost 30 years of riding. The fit and finish (Silver Gloss in my case) was showroom perfect. The large sat comfortably on my skull. The functional design appeared to be precision manufactured as all moving parts were solid and smooth. Plenty of peripheral vision and the concealed cockpit style sun visor was an added benefit to my sunglasses when riding into the sunset. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this helmet to anyone considering it. The functionality of the Evoline 2 is a brilliant combination that really sold me and proved it usefulness numerous times along the way.

Love this helmet

Bought two of these helmets for my wife and I. They fit great are able to accommodate a comms system. Very safe and well built. I love the integrated sun visor and how it rolls all the way back. Only fall back is the price.

Shark Evoline II Helmet

I like this helmet (large) very much. I was riding with a full face Ari, which I also like very much, but wanted the convenience of a flip-up helmet. Appearance, noise suppression, features & quality are first rate. Air flow is less than what I would of liked but adequate. The helmet feels reasonably light & well balanced. I thought I had a pretty round head but with this helmet I am experiencing some forehead pressure/discomfort. I'm hopeful a reasonable break-in period will alleviate this. The fit in every other respect is very comfortable. I consider the Shark Evoline II to be a lot of helmet for the money and would purchase again providing forehead pressure can be alleviated.

Great at first but not good quality

I have had this for I think 1 year now and it's junk. The side badge fell off. Leaks water when raining. Noise is terrible even with a windshield on bike. The concept of open to close face it great idea but Shark sucks at it. The pull down sun shade is scratched, The windshield fogs up..sheesh I can go on and on. I'm already looking for another company of helmet I can't take using the POS any more. I can expect some for a cheaper price but for this price their quality should be better.
