Pirelli - MT66 Route rear tire
Motorcycle Superstore SMOKES the competitors on tire prices. Have not put many miles on it yet but know of someone that has and all he does is rave about this tire. Rating is based on hearing about this tire from known source on identical tire including size.

Great tire has performed excellent on all types of roads and weather. Have 8,000 miles and will get another 500 miles out of it. Replaced the original tire which was a Bridgestone at 7,500 miles. Super tire and great price.

PIRELLI MT66 150/80-16 REAR TIRE
Delivered to the installer one day early. The service from these folks is impeccable. The tire replaces a Bridgestone and it does ride better. Not quite as grippy, but on a 1500 Vulcan Classic I'm not carving corners. Other riders I work with like the looks of the tire.

Great Tire
This is my second MT-66. I got over 8500 miles on the first and loved the overall performance I received from it. Any road surface, any weather, it performed very well. It handles the twisties as easily as the highway, and even gravel was no problem. I ride all road surfaces since I live in a very rural area, and this tire held up better than any Dunrock I have used. I would recommend it to anyone as a very good tire and you just can't beat the price! Dollar for dollar you will not find a better deal!

Pirelli - MT66 Route Rear Tire
I’m trying the Pirelli MT66 Rear tire on a 2008 Ultra Bagger to check it out compared to other tires I've used. It has very good grip for hot rodding around corners and curves, feels great at high speed in the sweepers. Not sure if it complements the chassis design as well as the Dunlops, the jury is still out. Don't know about wet weather either. I just have about 1k on it. Don't know about Durability as well.

skeptical purchaser made happy
Of course I am one who talks to bike shops before I do things. The bike shop people said that the Pirelli MT66 was a 'value' tire, and just slightly better in quality over my Dunlop 404 tires I had on my Kawasaki VN900. They were pushing me to buy the Metzeler tires at their more than double prices over what MSS charges for their Metz tires. I went against their "better" judgement. I mean I got both these tires for the cost of just the front tire of the Metz tire from the dealer. Well I have had these tires on now for over a month, have well over 1500 miles on them, and have found a tire I plan to stick with for years to come if the longevity of these tires is better than my OEM tires. The reviews on these tires are true; they handle extremely well, do not follow lines in the roads, and have a pretty decent grip for a cruiser tire. I just hope they last a bit longer than my Dunlop’s did.

This is the third set of Pirelli tires I have put on my V-star and am averaging about 13000 to 14000 front and rear. These tires seam to handle and last better than any other type I have used.

I bought these tire in the beginning of summer and have put some miles on them they have worked great. I have ridden in all conditions wet, dirt & dry. They corner great and don't wonder on the road. I recommend these tires.

Pirelli MT66 180/70 H15 Tire
This is the second MT66 I've put on the rear of my 2006 Honda VTX 1300. The first Pirelli lasted nearly 12,000 miles under an aggressive riding style and has vastly superior wet traction compared to the original equipment Dunlop. I used a 180/15 compared to the stock 170/15, which gave me a bit more width, yet still fit the stock rim well. I'd recommend this tire to anyone looking for a cruiser replacement tire.

Not for heavy bikes.
The tire is quiet, it runs straight down the road, and it has incredible cornering traction, but it's not suitable for heavy motorcycles.
This tire is probably more suitable for use on something much lighter such as a Yamaha V-Star or the Honda Shadow line which would require the softer rubber for cornering traction and stability.

Smooth ride, great on grooved pavement. Seems to have good traction on wet surfaces. I hope to get more tread life than the OME Dunlops.

Great Ride
I just picked up my bike from getting the tires put on and wow! The ride is smooth and quiet, handling is great, and buying them didn't break the bank. I understand why so many people rave about Pirelli MT66's. I replaced the OEM IRC tires after 15,000 miles. didn't have any issues with them, but the improvement in the ride is amazing.

Good tire for VN900LT
Good tires at any price and these were less than most. They corner better than the Continentals and seem to ride better and quieter, however they are new compared to the almost done conts. I don't know about Durability but grip and mileage seem to work in opposite directions so I'm more interested in grip.

The best of the best!
Put a pair of these on my 94 Intruder 800 and after 8,000 miles I'm wondering why I ever used any other tire. The Metzeler ME 880 is nearly as good (no surprise as Metzeler is made by Pirelli) but these are better in the rain. I still have plenty of tread left too. Stick like glue on dry and wet roads. I ride in the rain often and have not had a single slip from the front or rear. You don't expect high levels of grip from a high mileage tire, but these grip like a cat stuck in a tree. They don't follow road grooves, hold a line very well, and are very quiet. I ride with a mixed group and as we enter the curved highway onramp I can keep up with my sportbike buddies who push the limits, easily. I would recommend these to a friend beyond all other tires and will certainly buy again.

Puma Grip and Stealthy Quiet
I needed new tires for my 750 Virago cruiser. The dealers were pushing Dunlop 404’s (stock tire). I was watching pro street races on TV and I couldn’t believe how much they were leaning in the turns. I decided to visit a local professional street racer mechanic. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was a large stack of new Dunlops. I asked the mechanic if he was a Dunlop dealer and was surprised when he said no. I asked why he had so many new Dunlops? He replied because they are the stock tire that comes on the new street bikes. The first thing a pro racer does, is replaces them with Pirelli’s or Michelin’s, because they handle better. I replaced both my tires with Pirelli MT66’s. I took it easy for the first 150 miles. At first I didn’t like the front tire, it felt slippery in turns, now that the nubs are worn off, it’s very grippy. I have 1,700 miles on these tires now, and the tread is still like new (less most of the nubs). I like to ride aggressively, but don’t like taking chances. Last week I put myself in a risky situation. I was riding on a very curvy road (the kind bikers love), when a squirrel came running across the road, I goosed the bike to avoid hitting the squirrel. When I looked up, I was already into a sharp left 20 mph turn at 45mph. I was too close to the outside road edge to brake, so my only option was to take the turn at speed. With my heart pounding, I leaned the bike approx. 45 degrees (well beyond my comfort level). The tires gripped, never wavered or felt unsure. I LOVE these tires. These tires track true and ignore the road humps, cracks, and road tar snakes. They are quiet and ride smooth. I’ve hit large jarring pot holes and I’ve rode in the rain. I’ve never felt unsure or unsafe with these tires.

Pirelli - MT66 Route Cruiser Rear Tire
I use my motorcycle every day on America's toughest highway system: Los Angeles Basin. It's a very smooth ride ... I had to go to a size that wasn't the OEM (Honda 750 Aero) ...but it's working very nicely. Definitely buy these tires in a set of front and back ... no need to mix and match. This will be the last pair you'll buy over and over again.

Pirelli - MT66
The Motorcycle SuperStore sale rep suggested these tire for my 2001 Sportster Sport. I replaced the Back and Front with matching tires. With all the upgrades on my bike I was going through rear tires and never liked the stock Dunlops cornering and over all feel. The minute I rode it out of the shop WOW what a difference. I has shore footing on tight turns, stops and hard acceleration wear the Dunlops always felt spongy. Cannot vouch for wear since I have only had them for 3 weeks.

Needed to replace the D404
My rear tire, Dunlop 404 needed replacing at 8000 miles. I was unhappy with the D404 front tire, so I bought Pirelli 66s for the front and rear and am very satisfied with them. The tire wear is unknown because I have only a few hundred miles on the set.

Best tire that's ever been on my '97 1500 Vulcan. Best feature is the fact the tire doesn't track with the seams in the roadway...you don't know you've crossed over them. I haven't ridden in the rain, not that I'm ever planning on it. Best priced, best value tire I believe you can purchase.

Awesome Tire!
I originally bought this tire as an experiment. The price was lower than Dunlop 404 I usually buy and Pirelli has always had a good name, so I thought I'd give it a try. I now have over 7,000 miles on this tire and it still looks new; plenty of deep tread left. It looks like it will definitely outlast the Dunlop 404. I've been extremely happy with this tire from day one. It sticks well and provides a nice soft ride. I've ridden it in the rain with no problems. And now that I see what kind of mileage it's going to give me, I can't praise this tire enough. Overall, I have to give this tire a full 5 out of 5 stars. Obviously, when the time comes I will buy this tire again! Next time I will get the front one to match too.

Only had these tires for a few weeks, but they make a huge difference so far. Cornering with confidence now.

Great Resualts
Put theses Tries on today and compared to the manufactures tires that was on the bike when I got the bike. Theses tires make the ride feel like you’re kind of ridding on air and the ride is great. Have great performance and not getting jerked around going over bumps and couldn't ask for a better tire and a great ride and the amount I paid for the tires are worth it and would buy them again and not got to another tire. Thanks for the great tire.

Good Tire but.....
I replaced a Bridgestone Exedra that came stock on the back of my 1500 Vulcan. I'm happy with the ride and performance of this tire but it's smaller than the same size Bridgestone that I replaced. The price was good but if I had known the tire would have been smaller I wouldn't have bought it.

Good Deal
This tire was a good buy in my opinion. It rides nice, handles well, looks good and is quiet. Since I've only put 200 miles on it so far, I'm not sure of the durability but I gave it a 5 based on the other reviews.

Pirelli MT66 Rear Tire- 300mi after break-in
After only a few hundred miles on this tire on an 1100 V-Star, I'd have to say that this tire sticks to the road great- wet or dry. I was hoping for the raised white letters like it appears on the web page- oh well. I like the deeper tread pattern. I am curious to see how many miles this tire will run.

Awesome!!!!!
Without spending an hour, here is the bottom line. These tires are great!!! Have about 500 miles on them, can't be happier, been wet, no worries. Really hug the corners. As far as price and service goes, I shopped just about every online store that even thought of stocking tires....NOBODY could beat this deal for these two tires...Period. This place will be the first place I look from now on. I have them on my '06 Vulcan 900, they far surpass the OEM Dunlop 404's.

MT66 tires are a great buy!
I have noticed a dramatic change over the stock Harley Dunlop tires. The MT'S provide a cushion when hitting bumps and the tire seems to flex. I'm not bottoming out like I did with the Dunlop. Great wet weather traction and is a road eraser when dry. The compound seems a little softer so the life of the tire is compromised if you beat on them. For sane riding the difference is nominal.(used them on other bikes) Noticeable ride & handling improvement. Handles like a new bike and I feel safer when cornering. Well worth the purchase and DO NOT OVERSIZE WHEN BUYING FOR HARLEY'S!! GET THE EXACT REPLACEMENT! HARLEY REARS HAVE NO CLEARANCE!! Highly recommend Motorcycle Superstore 'cause of great customer service, dependable shipping, and they will stand behind the return policy when you buy the wrong size + $6.00 S/H, Great store & product!

4000mi. still lookin new
Love this tire. I changed both front and back with these. I have over 4000 mi. on them and plenty of tread left. I own a 95 Suzuki intruder 800 and don't fear grinding my pegs on these. I’m use to dry and sunny in san diego but this is my only ride so I can attest to their wet weather riding. In a heavy rain, the kind that can soak you to the bone (even with a good suit) I just slowed down a little and enjoyed the ride. Also I forgot what a wandering tire felt like. It doesn’t follow grooves like the old tires I had. I’ll be buying these again and telling all my buds they are worth more than what you pay.

Pirelli MT66's are fantastic tires -- no issues at all!
This is the second set of MT66's I have owned. I put a matching set on my other bike, a 1979 Honda 750K, and they give superb performance all around. On steel grated bridges, and cracks and grooves in the pavement, they track superbly, with little notice of the patterns in the road surface. I can't speak on the durability yet, as I have too few miles on them, but otherwise, they are fantastic tires. I would recommend them to anyone. Cheers!

This is replacing a Dunlop Qualifier on my 1986 VT700c shadow. The tire really works well in the wet and dry. I just did a 500 mile run with the bike (75% rain). I am impressed and will undoubtedly buy this tire again. It seems to be a very stable tire at all speeds. It is too soon to tell about tread life, but I have high hopes. This tire seems to be a real bargain.

Put these tires (front & rear) on my wife’s 07 Kawi VN900LT and I must say it's quite an improvement over the stock tires. A more neutral feeling steering with a smoother, quieter ride. My wife said it gives a more confident feel to cornering. Haven't got caught in the rain yet and they only have 150 miles on them so no comment on those issues.

Awesome Tire!
I put this tire on my vulcan and it is awesome. The ride is good, and it handles like a new bike. I got caught out in the rain last week (a real downpoor) and I had plenty of wet grip. I didn't slip once even under hard acceleration, or in the corners. I am definitely going to order the front tire next. I did alot of research before buying this tire, and you can't beat the price anywhere else for the same features and qualities that this tire has.

Great tires especially in rain!
Replaced both tires & got caught in a downpour. Bike was stable and braking was solid. Heavy,(VTX) with passenger & stopping power was steady with no slipping. Water tracking works well and gives solid dry traction. Durable sidewall prevents pothole damages. Good touring tire for all weather! Very inexpensive for the quality, recommend it!

MT66 Route Rear Tire
The tire rolls smooth, doesn't follow cracks and performs better than the stock IRC tire it replaced. I feel more confident in turns because the tire seems to have much more grip, I've had the bike out on wet roads a couple times and the wet grip seems very good as well. I had the tires shipped to a local preferred installer (Interstate MC in Rolla, MO), who did an outstanding job. Good tire, good price.

It feels like the tire holds to road better than the stock Dunlap that came with the bike. The rubber seems harder and more sturdy. I can take corners like never before. Pirelli mt66 route cruiser rear tire
So far so good. Been on a couple of rides in the north Georgia mts and thought they have handled extremely well. However the tires that were on the bike were pretty done in, so anything would feel great. The look is right, great price, excellent handling, we'll see about durability - but I have trusted in Pirelli tires for years. I can't rate the tires on wet traction or tread life yet for the scales but gave them a 5.
