Richard Kemnitz Sauk City,  WI mt66 front Switched from dunlop 404 which I used for many years and was OEM on current ride. Was disappointed in wear and handling of old tires. After doing allot of research I chose the Pirelli MT66 for my 03 XVS1100 and cannot praise them enough. I was previously suspecting wore swingarm bushings due to poor handling but new tires gave me better than new handling. Rain grooves and roadsnakes are unnoticeable. Although I am a light rider I normally carry heavy loads and put on allot of miles in all conditions. If my experience is comparable to others I expect my tires to last much longer than the dunlops, I normally put on over 10K per year and would totally wear out 2-3 sets of dunlops...in Wisconsin. Love the new handling and Motorcycle Superstore had them to me in no time. From a 40+ year ironbutt rider you have my unequivocal thumbs up.

Lisa Mount Holly,  NC Pirelli Route 66 A++ on all counts! My new Pirelli's are the 3rd set of tires (after Dunlop & Bridgestone) to go on my 2004 650 vstar & are by far the best in quality, control, handling, & stability. (Uncertain about tread life at this point...I can only assume they will more than suffice.) Best price & Great service from MCSS!

Charles warsaw,  NC Pirelli MT-66 Tires I have been running multiple Honda VT1100s since 1994. All came with the Dunlop OE tires. The Pirelli MT-66 front gives about 5000 more miles and the rear gives about 3000 more miles than the Dunlop. I recommend the Pirelli to everyone I can.

David Russellville,  AR Pirelli - MT66 Route Cruiser Front Tire I bought this brand because a friend recommended it. I had recently bought a rear tire of the same brand and could tell a vast improvement in handling the first time I rode it. I expect it will last much longer than the dunlop tires I pulled off. The tread looks deeper than the dunlops. I'm running these on an 1100 vstar classic. I will buy these again when the time comes.

I had 7,000 on the original tires and these look like they will make 8 or 9000. Tires are on a Vulcan 1500. Handling is super in dry and wet weather. Very happy with these tires.

Tim Mentor,  OH Nice Tires I've only had these tires about a month now so I can't comment on the tread life, but as far as traction, they hold the road 10x better than my Dunlop’s did in either wet or dry conditions. As soon as I put them on it was like riding a new bike, the handling was better and the cornering is fantastic. I would highly recommend these tires.

Mike San Antonio,  TX Awesome Tires! I just picked up my bike from getting the tires put on and wow! The ride is smooth and quiet, handling is great, and buying them didn't break the bank. I understand why so many people rave about Pirelli MT66's. I replaced the OEM IRC tires after 15,000 miles. didn't have any issues with them, but the improvement in the ride is amazing.

Owen Greenwood,  IN Puma Grip and Stealthy Quiet I needed new tires for my 750 Virago cruiser. The dealers were pushing Dunlop 404’s (stock tire). I was watching pro street races on TV and I couldn’t believe how much they were leaning in the turns. I decided to visit a local professional street racer mechanic. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was a large stack of new Dunlops. I asked the mechanic if he was a Dunlop dealer and was surprised when he said no. I asked why he had so many new Dunlops? He replied because they are the stock tire that comes on the new street bikes. The first thing a pro racer does, is replaces them with Pirelli’s or Michelin’s, because they handle better. I replaced both my tires with Pirelli MT66’s. I took it easy for the first 150 miles. At first I didn’t like the front tire, it felt slippery in turns, now that the nubs are worn off, it’s very grippy. I have 1,700 miles on these tires now, and the tread is still like new (less most of the nubs). I like to ride aggressively, but don’t like taking chances. Last week I put myself in a risky situation. I was riding on a very curvy road (the kind bikers love), when a squirrel came running across the road, I goosed the bike to avoid hitting the squirrel. When I looked up, I was already into a sharp left 20 mph turn at 45mph. I was too close to the outside road edge to brake, so my only option was to take the turn at speed. With my heart pounding, I leaned the bike approx. 45 degrees (well beyond my comfort level). The tires gripped, never wavered or felt unsure. I LOVE these tires. These tires track true and ignore the road humps, cracks, and road tar snakes. They are quiet and ride smooth. I’ve hit large jarring pot holes and I’ve rode in the rain. I’ve never felt unsure or unsafe with these tires.

Mike Ferreira Long Beach,  CA Pirelli - MT66 Route Cruiser Front Tire Fantastic in all categories of performance. I finally don't have any of that front wobble with the highway cracks and grooves, of which there are many and everywhere here on the Los Angeles highway system. I put these on a Honda 750 Aero which is my everyday commuter motorcycle. I ride it a minimum of 20 miles round-trip each day. This set of tires is a Godsend! A million times better than the OEM's that where on when I bought it. It hasn't rained yet and I've only just bought them, so I don't know about tread life and wet traction ... but I'm confident.

Kevin Rager Hanover,  PA Much beter than Dunlop 404 I have a Kawasaki VN900 Classic. The factory Dunlop 404 was very unstable on less than perfect road surfaces. Duane Howard City,  MI Great Tire I bought this tire to match the MT 66 I put on my rear last year. This was a match made in heaven. Even my wife (passenger) remarked how much improved the handling was over the Dunlop 404. After mounting the tire I took off on a solo 3000 mile ride. The tire was stable under all conditions (rain groves, bridge gratings etc.). I didn't experience any rain during the ride but have with the rear tire and I assume the front will be as good as the back. Tire wear I expect will be excellent as the back tire has 10K on it and shows minimal wear. I burned through the 404 on the rear in just over 10K. With over 3500 on the new front MT I expect to get somewhere around 17 - 18k more from it. Buy this tire you won't regret it.

David A.W. Holyoke,  MA Best of the best! Put a pair of these on my 94 Intruder 800 and after 8,000 miles I'm wondering why I ever used any other tire. The Metzeler ME 880 is nearly as good (no surprise as Metzeler is made by Pirelli) but these are better in the rain. I still have plenty of tread left too. Stick like glue on dry and wet roads. I ride in the rain often and have not had a single slip from the front or rear. You don't expect high levels of grip from a high mileage tire, but these grip like a cat stuck in a tree. They don't follow road grooves, hold a line very well, and are very quiet. I ride with a mixed group and as we enter the curved highway onramp I can keep up with my sportbike buddies who push the limits, easily. I would recommend these to a friend beyond all other tires and will certainly buy again.

Ben Mayes Chester,  VA mt66 front tire After having a MT66 on the rear for 3000 miles, wearing great. I needed a front tire because handling was getting terrible. Have 800 miles on it, corners great, had no problems in a sudden Va. rain down pour. As far as I am concerned they wear better than OEM on the Roadstar and better than the tires I have on the Ironhead. Will keep on buying, plus when the HD needs new tires I will be getting the MT66 on it too.

Butch Greiner Henderson,  TX Why I chose Pirelli I chose Pirelli because of their tread design and the good reviews that I read about them. I have used Dunlop for many, many, years but didn't like how they followed every grove in the road. So far I am very pleased with Pirelli MT66 Route. They are very stable on the road and I didn't realize how much better a ride a good tire could make. I am 63 yrs old and have been riding bikes since I was 14. So if you want a smoother, better ride, give Pirelli a chance.

Douglas San Diego,  CA 4000 mi still lookin new Love this tire. I changed both front and back with these. I have over 4000 mi. on them and plenty of tread left. I own a 95 Suzuki intruder 800 and don't fear grinding my pegs on these. I’m use to dry and sunny in San Diego but this is my only ride so I can attest to their wet weather riding. In a heavy rain the kind that can soak you to the bone (even with a good suit) I just slowed down a little and enjoyed the ride. Also I forgot what a wondering tire felt like. It doesn’t follow grooves like the old tires I had. I’ll be buying these again and telling all my buds they are worth more than what you pay.

Randy Hill Bellingham,  WA Pirelli Route 66 front and rear I put the Pirellis on last month just before a 3000 mile trip down the west coast. I really saw an improvement over the old Dunlops that were previously on the bike, a 700+ pound Road Star. The 66's felt far more stable at speed and instilled confidence throughout many spirited days of driving, including HWY 1 around Monterey and Big Sur (note: I'm a 54 y.o. doctor who doesn't like to fall, and this is a cruiser so my spirited may be mild or downright wimpy to you). I was caught in heavy rains on two occasions in WA and was pleased with the sure-footedness there as well. This is a great cruiser tire and if they wear well, I'll get another pair. These are significantly less costly than the Met's (my prior favorites), and don't feel like a "compromise tire" at all. I hope this helps. Ride safe.

Bryan Gorak Morton Grove,  IL Great tire and economical I have used the MT66's on other bikes and they are great tires. If driven conservatively they will last long. Curtis Webb Oceanside,  CA Excellent....so far I put a pair of these on my '05 Suzuki C90 to replace the OEM tires (Bridgestones) in April '09. To clarify, I bought my bike off the showroom floor in July '07. The bike had 3 miles on it, but was almost 3 yrs old. The OEM tires had 11400 miles on them. As soon as I rode away from the dealership after having these Pirelli tires mounted I was aware of an entirely different ride! It's been over a month now(I ride everyday) and I love these tires so far. Handles and feels like a totally different bike. Will update as far tread life goes at a later date, so I gave a "3" for a neutral score. Also gave a score of "3" for wet traction only because I have not ridden with the new tires in water, so I can't really rate them fairly there either. Would definitely recommend these tires for a cruiser.

David Walnut Creek,  CA Just Right I bought a matched set from M.S store with confidence. Many bay area m/c tire shops recommended the Pirelli MT66. At first I thought these Pirelli tires were a disappointment. Off the bat, I had a high speed wobble. However, as I ticked off the miles and those stubbies were gone, the wobble was gone. These MT66's are great. My 2002 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan Nomad rides smooth, and corners very well. I have not had a Pirelli on any vehicle before now, but they feel secure... just right.

michael young Alpharetta,  GA Pirelli MT66 route cruiser front tire So far so good. Been on a couple of rides in the north Georgia mts and thought they have handled extremely well. However the tires that were on the bike were pretty done in, so anything would feel great. The look is right, great price, excellent handling, we'll see about durability - but I have trusted in Pirelli tires for years. I can't rate the tires on wet traction or tread life yet for the scales but gave them a 5.
