Alan Christian Nacogdoches,  TX The way to go. I had this tire installed on my Suzuki Intruder VS1400GLP for a few months now, and they have been amazing. Before, I had a new Metzeler tire on the bike, and if the roads were wet or if I had to press on the rear brake a little more than usual, the tire would squeal and lose traction. I had a few close encounters because of this. After getting a huge bolt through the Metzeler, I bought the Michelin Commander and have had no problems. The tire grips the road better than any other tire that I have experienced on a bike. There have been instances where I've been caught in the rain or had to hit the rear brake hard, but the tire never lost traction. Highly recommend!

Dan Antioch,  CA Michelin Commander Cruiser Rear Tire Excellent tire. Much more cost effective than Metzeler ME880. I ran the ME880 for six years. I ride more than 20,000 miles per year. This is my second Michelin. I got 18,500 miles out of the first one and it behaved the same from start to finish.

Joe Mokena,  IL Michelin - Commander Cruiser Rear Tire I just rode from Daytona to Naples Florida and the bike rides better than it ever did with the factory Dunlop and the Metzler I had on it. Still too early to see what kind of tread life it gets. So far a great tire.

Charlie Raleigh,  NC Michelin Commander Love the tire better than the Metzlers it replaced. These have a more controlled, solid feel. I have already put 3k miles on it and it looks like new. I will replace the other soon and buy the Michelins again. I got 8k from the Metz on the rear of my Roadking and plan on getting that or more with these.

Keith Indianapolis,  IN Simply The Best! I have had my Michelin Commanders for about a month now and the difference in the ride vs. Dunlop’s is unbelievable! The jury is still out on the longevity of these Commanders but for the value you get from the Motorcycle Superstore in addition to the smooth ride you get from these tires they are worth every penny and with that said quite frankly I don't care how long they last. I'll just invest in some new ones! I'm hooked.

Carl Odenton,  MD Michelin - Commander crusier rear tire I have had the tire on my 06 Ultra for about one month and I find that they are working better than the other tires I had. Sam Lake Village,  IN Outstanding Rear Tire! The Michelin Commander rear tire that I now have on my 2004 FLHRPI is the best handling tire that I have ever had on it! Wear is fantastic, ride is like a marshmallow compared to the old D402, cornering is great, but I can't tell you how the wet traction is yet because I haven't had it in the rain! Awesome Tire. The front one is next! I'll be back hopefully in about 7 or 8 thousand miles for another one!

Todd B. Waldorf,  MD Decent mileage, great handling wet and dry I'm on my second rear tire and my second front commander as well and these tires perform excellently! Great balance of softer, sticky rubber for good grip in wet and dry, with decent mileage. I get about 15K on the fronts and 9K on the rears and I ride my '02 FXSTSI Springer really hard. These tires grip and hold up well. I ride loaded up with big saddlebags and a tall T-bag. I think the softer casing on these tires makes them perform great and don't follow road seems like some other tires. I'm hooked on these!

Ken Hampton,  VA Michelin - Commander Cruiser Rear Tire Mounted the Michelin - Commander Cruiser Rear Tire last week and immediately noticed a better ride than the Bridgestones that came with the bike - 06 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe. ken East Greenville,  PA Great Tire Overall a very good tire! Night and day comparison between OEM and Commander. My Roadking cornered like it never did before......felt like a different bike! Handled well in the rain but must be careful as wear indicators appear. Not real happy with the tread life. Got 6,500 miles before wear indicators appeared in center of tire. I guess there's a trade-off when you're heavy on the throttle and ride 2-up, etc. Would like to see Michelin add a deeper tread depth to make this tire the very best!

Noticed right away it feels a lot better right away, but I did replace front and back at same time. Scott Martin Hampstead,  MD Great tires Motorcycle-superstore delivered the tires on time. I have not had new tires front and back since the bike was new. It's a 02 Fatboy and the handling never seemed that great. With the Michelin tires it seems more stable than with the Dunlops. Going across an area where the road was grooved, ready to be resurfaced, the bike tracked extremely much better.

Jerry Stevens Point,  WI Riding on Michelins A few years back I went into my Harley repair shop to prep our Ultra for a long haul. New tires were needed so I told them I wanted Michelins, they said "not available". Disagreeing I opened the web site and I'll be, there they were. The rest is history. Best ride you'll find in a tire, I lose about three thousand miles of wear compared to the rock hard rubber out there yet it is worth every "non" mile to have them under us. Great on dry roads, smooth and jolt free. In the rain they're stickier than all get out. Won't run another tire, trust these too much.

Tom Banks West Monroe,  LA Bet tire ever I have always had Dunlop's on my Harley Ultra until this time. That will be the last time I put on Dunlop's. This is the best tire EVER. Unbelievable handling and control. Even my wife has noticed that I handle the bike better. I have more confidence because I have better control. I just wish they made it in white wall and a wide white wall. From the first mile I could tell a difference. I like this one so much I have bought another commander for my Son's 1500 Vulcan. My Harley dealer said they were hard to put on, but they put a tube into and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours then took the tube out and it beaded right up the first time. I highly recommend this tire, try it and I'm sure you'll feel the same.

Earl McKinney Homestead,  FL Michelin Rear Tire - Mounted on FLHX I have had the tire mounted for 2 weeks now. The tire is smaller than the original equipment Dunlop 401 150/80 that came on the bike. The tire has provided good traction in the rain and is quite with a smooth ride on dry roads. I ride about 350 miles a week and so far I am satisfied with the tire. It was easy to mount and required a minimal amount of weight when balanced. I will update on tread life in about 6-12 months.

Bill Ouellette Flagler Beach,  FL Wobble I liked the tread depth and pattern on front and rear tires. Rear tire took 4 times to seat on rim and has severe side runout. This causes a constant vibration and poor cornering. The expense would be too high to send it back and have to pay for another mount and balance, so I guess I will live with it and go back to Dunlops next time around.

Norman Westbrook Bismarck,  ND Why doesn't the factory use these? This is by far the best all-around tire that I have come across in 28+ years of riding. I put it on my 2006 Road Star-- now I have dragged my exhaust pipe three times, it sticks and handles good--maybe too good? Straight-line stability is excellent, too, and has a very plush ride. Rides better than Dunlops, handles better than Bridgestones, wears better than any tire I have used except for Continental Milestones, which wore like iron, but had traction to match! No noise from it that I can hear, either. Match it up with the front tire to get the best benefit. You won't be sorry!!

Todd WAldorf,  MD Commander Rocks on 2002 Springer Custom I've ridden Dunlop’s for years but this time I decided to go with the Michelin Commander. I now have over 11,000 worry free miles and expect 1-2K more before replacement. This tire is better in every category than Dunlop especially confidence inspiring in wet and dry cornering and braking. They also don't follow road seams and snakes nearly as badly as Dunlop does (I have a commander on the front 21" also). Highly recommend!

Tim Belton,  SC Best tire on the market ! I had always rode on Dunlop tires and averaged between 6,000 to 8,0000 miles usually closer to 6. Larry Fleener Horseshoe Bend,  AR A little dissappointed but glad I bought Stock Bridgestone rear tire on my 07 Nomad 1600 only lasted 5500 miles before tread wear indicators appeared. Michelin Commander cost about half as mush as a new "Stone" but I don't notice much difference in improved tread wear. Tire rides nice and is quiet, I have not had opportunity to ride in wet conditions yet but think the tire will perform well wet or dry. I have had the Michelin rear tire on the bike for about 2500 miles and it appears the tread wear is about the same as the stock tire but at half the price of an OEM replacement tire, its a bargain. Bill Dargavel Greenville,  MS Lifesaver! Replaced my worn-out rear Dunlop with a Commander. Got three miles on my break-in run when I was cut off by a teenage driver. My bike went into a slide: My choices were a ditch or her car. The tire gave me a third option: It gripped the road like glue, slowed me way down, and helped may stay upright! Missed the car by a foot. Got back on today and got to really ride. What a great tire. It rides smooth, leans great and just handles well. I am now a one brand man.

In that time I've had the original Dunlops, Dunlop Elite, and the Michelin Commanders. I'm especially amazed at how well they hold the line in high speed, tight twisties and still get great mileage! I have 7K on the rear of my 95" Stage 3 Roadie and it looks like it will go another 7K easy (which is saying a lot for a 95" motor that likes to scoot!). Sincerely, Bob Simpson
