Mike Kansas City,  MO Price vs Sticking to the road Other brands I have used will cost less but what could happen when on wet pavement will cost more than paying the extra for a Metzeler ME 880. The Motorcycle Super Store had the best price this summer that I found. I will shop again when needed.

Rich Conroe,  TX Metzeler ME 880 XXL 200/70B15 I put this tire on a '04 Suzuki Volusia, and so far it's a very good handling tire. Rolls in and out of curves and corners smoothly. Just went through 20 miles of rain with no problems. With only about 800 miles on the tire, I really can't comment on the tread life. Pretty thick tire though. If I can get some good mileage out of it, I'll most likely buy the same again.

Diceman Seiling,  OK good tire I have only rode about a thousand miles this month, not much rain but it is a good tire so far. I would buy again if the wet handling and mileage are as I have heard. I have been running Donlop's so far and only about 9,000 mi out of rear and twice that on front. If i can get 12,000 out of the rear it will be worth the extra $50.00.

Dave Tulsa,  OK Metzler ME 880 Marathon XXL Rear Tire This is my second of these tires from Motorcycle Superstore and I couldn't be more satisfied. The price was over $100 less than the dealership was going to charge and it only took a few days to get here. I had almost 10K miles on the last one and dry or wet I was very pleased with its performance. In another 10,000 miles I'll be coming back for another one.

I bought my bike with the same tire but I don't know when the previous ownwer put the phatail kit on. The bike just rolls in and out of the corners. The new tire has alot softer ride than the worn out one that was on the bike when I bought it.

Roger Flournoy Tacoma,  WA Metzeler -ME 880 Marathon XXL Rear Can't answer the last two questions because I haven't had them long enough to give an opinion. I can't say that I'm disappointed in them, like the cornering so far. I'm hoping that the tread life will be better the the original Dunlops that Harley puts on for stock tires.

Russell Metamora,  MI Fat Front I've got the 160/60/18 rear tire mounted in reverse (per Manufacturer Advise) on the front of my M109R, it fills up the space the stock 130/70/18 left between the fender. It looks GREAT and still handles good, a little more effort needed in the corners, but can still drag the pegs occasionally, So Stability, Cornering, and Dry Traction for me are excellent. Wet Traction is a 4 but I am running it in reverse, my 280/35/15 Metzler rear is a 5 in the rain. Tread life is a 4 but softer compound in curves is worth it.

Marcelo Brownsville,  TX Review I have had this product for over a month and I am very satisfied with it. The stability and traction are awesome with this tire. Not to mention the cornering ability, I really lean into my turns. This is better than the stock tire i had on my 2008 Vulcan custom. This new tire gave my bike a more aggressive look which is a big plus. It is too early to comment on the tread life because of the short time I’ve had it but it should be ok. All in all it is a great tire and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ian Robins Christina Lake,  BC Metzler Marathon XXL rear tire This is an extremely good rear tire. It's stable, and a comfortable ride. I feel confident leaning into corners. The hard compound is a little less grippy in the wet but still good. One has to simply ride with a little more caution in the lean and back off a little. I would have preferred a little more longevity in the tread but, given the fact I ride a warrior, a very torquey motorcycle, I'm not too disappointed. All in all a very good product.

Vinson Queen Creek,  AZ Tire Tire is mounted on a Suzuki M109r . I have 9000 miles on the front and rear tire . The front still looks new , the rear may last another 1000 miles or close to before being replaced . Was only able to get 9000 miles on the stock tires. A lot of on the throttle with this bike , so with a little less throttle the rear tire may last longer , but then again the throttle is very fun with this bike ! ! ! !

Ben Adair,  OK Metzler ME 880 on a VTX 1300C Love the tire, notice a considerable amount of difference than the stock tire that came with the bike. More traction and better cornering are two areas that have definitely upgraded with this tire compared to the stock Dunlop. The Dunlop only lasted 7000 miles, I can already tell this one will last longer. My mechanic had no trouble putting it on, as it is a bit wider than the stock. Just rode it this morning in the rain, no problem at all, didn't slip once. And I might add, it looks awesome!

Mike Eureka,  CA XXL Rear I have been ridding for over 40 years and have found that ounce you find a tire that performs well with your bike you stay with it. I have an 04 1100 V Star that I just got through with a ocean to ocean and back trip. 8,450 miles. The XXL was new when I started and still has just about 5000 miles left on it. The OEM tires (Dunlops) had 4000 on the rear and 6000 on the front when I had to replace them. They also handled like crap. Front shimmy and all. The Metz made all the difference. No more Grand Wobblies on any type of roadway and rock solid in the corners. I no longer have to fight the line through the corners. I love these tires!

Eric Gordon Shelbyville,  KY Roadstar Warrior Application - use a 200 I've got the 200 series mounted now and it seems to be doing well with about 2000 miles on it. I ended up with the Metzeler again because I put a 210 on the rear as part of a set. The rear had cords showing in 2500 miles - so I was stuck with another Metzler to match the front. Luckily I tracked down a 200 series and it's wearing much better. As far as traction and stability and cornering - the tire seems okay. It's not as grippy as the Battlax that came on the Warrior, but now that I got the 200 width it seems to be holding up better (the Battlax only made it 3500 miles) and I ran it into the corners pretty hard on the Metzlers so that there is no chicken strip.

Stephan baltimore,  MD 2007 Suzuki M109 Comparing these to the Dunlops that came with the bike, the Metzeler's outperform hands down. I don't feel the 'slippage' that I did with the Dunlops in cornering and it handles so much better. My hope is that these will last a lot longer than the 10K miles for the Dunlops. Scottchman Tempe,  AZ Metzeler-ME 880 XXL Rear I put 12,000 miles on the last Metzeler 880's. The tread was just getting to the wear bars. I love the tires and rolling in and out of corners is much improved over stock tires. The tires don't track off when you hit un-even pavement or ruts. Traction in the rain and on different road surfaces is excellent.

D. Neukam Loogootee,  IN Great Tires My ride (Triumph Rocket 3) came with these skins as standard equipment. I would not replace with anything else. Mileage for me is about 10K on the rear - not too bad when considering the torque I have at the rear wheel and the constant strong urge to twist the throttle. Excellent wet traction as well. Corners exceptionally well. Large and in charge appearance!

James Russell Reno,  NV Best Motorcycle Tire You Can Buy I have tried all the major brands of cruiser motorcycle tires and Avon Venom brand tires comes second best to Metzler ME 880. How? Metzler will give about 3,000 miles more mileage. Avon’s are great tires, smooth, quiet, shock absorbing as the Metzler, but just a mileage drop that too me is making Metzler the best money can buy for economy and performance. If you have not tried a Metzler ME 880 you are in for a wonderful treat. It will make your bike quieter, smoother riding, hardly feeling any road bumps and they will outlast most all other tires by many thousands of miles. I routinely get 12,000 miles on my big Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 and my Harley's did the same.

This tire is a little smaller diameter than the AVON, but matched with a 21"ME-880 80/90H-21 on the front the handling improved noticably. Dan Erickson Broken Arrow,  OK Big performance boost!! I got the Metzler ME880's front and rear. The ride on my Suzuki M109R was so improved it was like getting a new bike. I really am not exaggerating. The factory tires caused the M109R to have a very Strange feel in the corners...you get used to it over time but it felt awkward. When I put the Metzlers on the bike I noticed an immediate improvement. The ride is smoother first of all...much smoother. Second and most important the bike is rock solid in corners now. No more spongy odd shifting around in the corners. With the Metzelers its just lean and enjoy. This is the best modification I have made to my bike to date. Get some... you won't be sorry! peter spraitz boulder,  CO Metezler 240/50R16 I would like to try another brand tire to compare to this one. I have no complaints about the tire except I think it wears out faster than I would like . I am on my second Triumph Rocket III and have put on 5 rear tires so far . I have never gotten 5000 miles out of one and this last one I wore off in 3500 miles . I do love to power out of the turns ,it handels great and I trust the bike and the tires ,but I have never done a burnout and never take off hard from a stand still . I am always consouse of tire wear and try to ride to conserve my rear tire but yet cant get any real durability , I have worn the sides out before the middle in the turns , never have done much staight line riding. Just would like to try another brand to see if I can get more miles out of one.

Tracy L. Woodburn Waverly,  CA Metzeler 880 200/60-16 motorcycle tires The ME 880 on my Valkyrie rival the Avons in both durability and performance. I have been very satisfied with the 200/60-16. The Avon 180/70-16 also performed very well, but there is more rubber where it meets the road with the Metzeler 880 and that does make some difference in handling at the higher speeds. Metzeler has out-done itself and should be commended for the 880 tires! When safety is placed above all considerations, Metzeler motorcycle tires will be on the bike! I recommend Metzelers o

Fleck Powell,  TX Metz ME-880 I just put these on a 28-year old bike and they actually made it feel many years younger. Felt like I rebuilt my steering head bearings immediately. I went with these on the experience I've had running them on an '03 Shadow 1100. On that bike, I get 20,000 out of a rear Metz and 30k out of a front, and the handling, grip and wet grip are as much/more than I expect out of a motorcycle tire. John Shubin Vernon Hills,  OH ME880 Marathons These are the best tires I have found so far for a GL1500. The handling is superb, wet weather traction is fantastic, ride is smooth and quiet. I only wish I could get more than 12,000 miles out of a pair, but there has to be a cost for all the pluses. I recommend replacing them in pairs only.
