This tire surprised me with the mileage and traction it has in turns. There seems to be no cupping or irregular wear on the tire. I'll be buying a rear tire from the same manufacturer.

18.5k with 500-1k left !!!!!!
As reading through all the rave reviews, I thought about adding my story. I gave it straight 5's across the board for the same reason everyone else did. However, this is my story. I do A LOT of riding, and I needed to get my bike inspected (I forgot and it expired). In looking at the old, rear ME880, it was clear there was not enough tread to pass inspection, so I took it into the shop to have a new rear put on & get her inspected. While paying for the tire & service, the mechanic asked me if that was my bike, I told him yes. He confirmed there was about 500-1000 miles left in tread, but it wouldn't pass inspection the way it was. The guy ringing me up looked in the history and saw that they put the old tire on, and verbally noted How Many Miles I actually put on that rear ME880. All three of us were stunned, and jaws opened when he said I got just over 18,500 miles out of it. They both stated they have never seen anything like that out of an ME880. Usually they replace them around 12-14k. Needless to say, the ME880 will ALWAYS be on my bike!! Cheers!

ME880 front tire
I installed the ME880 on the front and rear of my V Rod and there was a noticeable difference in handling right away. The Metzeler tires gave me more confidence with stability and traction. The handling in corners was much more stable. I have only put about 800 miles on the tires since purchased so the tread life is yet to be seen but overall I would recommend the tires.

Tire performance
So far these Metzler ME880 tires have proven to be a very good quality, I have not tested them in rain yet and I have not put enough miles to determine the tread life. I will put them to the test this coming August on a trip to Sturgis from California, almost 1400 mls.

Love these tires and the handling. However I wish you would carry more things for victory motorcycles and perhaps I would shop for more than just tires!

This is the second front on the old Harley and I'll be sticking with them. Tried Dunlop-poor wear and traction. Tried Avon, vipers- super soft and the rubber cracked within a couple of months, weird wear patterns on the front and the rear lasted 8k miles. Front Metzeler lasted 24k and the first rear lasted 15k, second rear has 9k and still has good tread and no weather cracks.

ME 880 front tire (On a Honda VTX 1800)
The tire looks good and has tread in the center. I like that, as an open groove means NO rubber (less traction and faster wear)! I only have about 1800 miles on it so far, but hope to get better mileage than I got with the original Dunlop (5000 miles).

Metzeler ride
Hi, I have only had these tires a short time. So far I have nothing bad to say about them. They handle much better than my last two sets. They look good and feel good on the road. I drive a 2008 Kawasaki 900 classic LT.

Metzeler - ME 880 Marathon Touring Front Tire
I got an amazing 23000 miles on my last set of ME880's on my BMW R1150RT. I mostly commute on NJ hiways and at 145lbs I'm a light weight, but I'm very impressed with these "wear like iron" tires. I've tried a few other brands and only got half the milege of these Metzeler's. I'll never buy any other tire but these!
