Treadlife not so hot for me
These are on my 2007 FXDL which I bought in June of that year. I'm a first time gal bike owner, so no quick starts, no burn outs or hard riding twisties of any sort. Live in a Northern climate so tires don’t "bake" or run under extreme hot conditions. No city stop and go riding. No hard use of rear brakes. No passengers. No Luggage. Tire pressure checked after every other ride. At 5130 miles, these tires have gone from 8/32nd new to 3/32nd's left. I can probably get another 1000 or maybe 1500miles but that's all. Hubby has a 2006 FLSTC WITH 7500 and tread isn't half gone, yet we have ridden the exact same roads together and he's had his bike a year longer! Have no idea how some posting here can claim 11,000 or more on their OEM tires. I baby my bike, yet got nowhere near the tread life others did. It's a mystery! Anyway, I like the handling, the feel, and the grip, so I'm ordering another set. I might switch over to the Michelin's Scorcher when the front tire needs changing. Buy that time, I'll need another rear.

Dunlop K591 Harley-Davidson rear tire
This tire came standard on my 06 Harley Deuce. I got 16000 miles wear on the original. Hope to get the same on the new one. Superstore had the best price on this tire that I could find anywhere. The shop they recommended to change the tire did a good job at a great price. I will buy my next tire here. Superstore sure beats dealing with the Harley dealer.

I only had 5,000 on my OEM tire but loved it! So I'm sticking with what I know… plus the price is right! So what, I have to get new tires every 3 months!!! Ride fast stop quick and look out for the blind drivers in South West Florida!!!

Stock Harley rear replacement
Mounts on rim easily. Balance was already close to perfect as delivered. My original K591's lasted 16000 miles. I expect to get the same mileage again.

Overall Great Tire
Overall, the K591 is a great tire. If you're looking to keep everything Harley, and you want a great price, buy it from the Motorcycle Superstore. It's the best price around period. I got about 10,700 miles out of my first K591.

K591 Dunlop HD Tire
This is the same tire that came on my 2006 HD Dyna Street Bob. Got about 7K miles on original with a couple thousand left. Replaced only because I had a nail in mine, so I needed it right away. Best price online and shipped very fast. Excellent customer service when placing my order via phone.

K591 Review
Love the tire hate the tread life. I was lucky by monitoring the air pressure constantly and driving normal, I was able to make it to 12500 miles before replacement. Most reviews I have read people are replacing around 8000-9000 miles.

I'm finally buying my 2nd back tire...tire came stock on my HD DYNA 2008..I've put over 15k on the original. I can't believe it lasted this long. I commute to work everyday, so my bike knows wear and tear. I wouldn't buy another tire at all for my bike. Thanks DUNLOP for making such a great product!

Dunlop - K591 HD Series Rear Tire
Replaced on 2009 Dyna Custom. Good wet and dry traction. Sticks in corners. Only close to 7000 miles on 1st and had to replace. I'm going to closely follow HD tire pressure in owners manual and keep a close eye on the tread. I thought I did on 1st one but I want to be sure. If this one wears out as fast I'll try a Metzler. With the amount of riding I do 3 tires a year is a little much.

Great tire, medium tread life. Very strong sidewalls, I got two 10d nails in my tire at the same time. The tire stayed stable enough for me to maintain control even without air pressure!

This tire is just ok. Harley gets them by the 1000's & it’s just enough to get by. They are a soft compound rubber so you get good traction etc; if you want more mileage go with Michelins if you can find in your size.

Tire is ok stability, cornering, etc... Tire life is way to short if you ride hard at all. Not even six grand yet and I have to replace!!!

Nice tires/ Awesome price
Had an independent motorcycle shop mount them on my bike, between the tire price and the cost of them being mounted at an independent shop I saved close to $300 as compared to having them put on at the dealer, haven’t really had time to check tread life but I’m sure they will be fine. They really do improve the ride compared to the stock tire that came on the bike. 2007XL1200low.

I own a Harley Deuce and have only a few choices for a rear tire. The Dunlop K591 is the original tire for the bike. It’s a good tire except for tread life. This is not unusual though. I get 7-9K miles out of the tire. I had a different brand before with the same results. Bought the tire from Motorcycle Superstore which gave an excellent price and customer service was outstanding. I will buy all my tires from them in the future if I continue to have the same A+ experience with them. I only hope the tire companies can produce a tire where the mileage is doubled.

This is the 3rd skin going on my 06 Wide Glide first tire, didn’t follow what the service manual recommended cost me a tire at 6000 miles 2nd over 10,000 still have tread but getting close very happy with this tire and will cont. to buy more, front tire had 12,000 miles when replaced

I bought this tire to replace the one on my 03 Deuce. It was the exact tire that came standard on it from Harley. I got 16,000 out of the first tire with no problems. I will admit this was about 3,000 more than should have been but this shows you how well of a tire this one is. When my new one goes out, I will again buy this tire. Very satisfied.

Dunlop-K591 H-D Series Rear Tire: MADE IN THE USA
Although I am reluctant to promote a tire with the motorcycle's brand name, I think the K591 H-D Series is an all around great tire for the FXD Dyna Super Glide application. In addition to its generally excellent operational characteristics, it is MADE IN THE USA - a very important factor when I consider a purchase. It works well in most conditions (could stick a little better in the wet and definitely iffy in the icier times, but what isn't?!). The only down side is the relatively quick wear rate. I replaced the OEM back tire at approx. 6K miles. But I think this is the price to pay for a pretty "sticky" tire. There are many competitors in this H-D application but you can't go wrong with the K591 H-D.

I’ve gone through a lot of tires since 1965, the dunlop-k591 came on my 06 dyna I put 12k before replacing it with this one! It sticks to the road as well as the miles, it’s always been one or the other before this tire and the V rated is a good thing too!

I’ve had this tire for about 7000 tough miles. I live on a dirt and gravel road. Often, I drive on twisted roads, have taken it on long highway trips at high rates of speed ridden at 20 to around 100 degree temps and extremely hard rains where I couldn’t find cover and cars were pulled over and stopped. This tire has been a real good one. I will spend the money on another and would recommend this tire to anyone who has a HD.
