So Far - So Good
Tires performed very well in all the exercises during an MSF Experienced RiderCourse just after getting them scuffed in. Transitioned nicely and very predictable, even while dragging footpegs. I have become a fair-weathered rider in my old age, so I can't comment on wet traction. Also, I have not had these tires long enough to comment on tread life. However, I have no reason to believe they will not perform these tasks well too. They have an excellent reputation. I will buy these again.

Unfortunately most of my riding has been in the rain since getting these tires. Since there are a lot less grooves then my last tires I was not sure what to expect in the rain, but their performance has been fine. I anticipate great dry weather feel.

Elite 3 Dunlop on H-D Ultra
Higher rated and reinforced than H-D Dunlops, harder than Metzler, but with similar tread-so far outperforms std- and tread is similar to new Dunlops on 2010 HD's. Got rid of my "rear steer" also. Think I found the right combination for ride, traction and mileage.

Dunlop Elite 3 Rear Tire
Well so far so good. I don't believe it's as good a ride as the original Dunlop D221 that came with my M109R, but it's very good considering that the D221 is about $500.00. This cost me $145.00 so it's worth it. Tread life is unknown, considering I only have about 500 miles on it so far. Great deal on this though and unbelievably fast delivery(Free shipping too).

Dunlop E3's on VTX1800R
These tires are great. They stick like glue to the pavement. Just did a 350 mile trip through the mountains and they performed much better than the OEM Dunlops. MC Superstore got them to me in quick time. Thanks for great support. I have not run these in the rain or seen how long they last so the ratings for wet traction and tread life are not applicable.

Only been on about a month but it corners (for a touring bike)great. Tread looks like new with about 1000 miles on it.

Changed to Dunlop E3's from the OEM d251 it had and the difference is amazing. The ride is much smoother than the originals I can go deeper into the curves with them traction is notably better both in wet and dry conditions.
i don't know about tread life but i sure hope they last longer than 3900 miles like the oem's did

Donlop Elite 3 Touring Rear Tire
During my most recent trip from Palmdale, Ca. to Strugis S.D. my new Elite 3 performed perfectly. While in South Dakota it rained briefly and the tire handled the change in road conditions with no problem. I've run Elite 3's on my VTX 1800C for the past three years and have never had any problems. The tire performs quite well across a spectrum of driving conditions and speeds.

Great handling tires
I had priced several tires online and got a quote from the local shop. I saved $106.00 on the front and rear set of E 3's. The local shop couldn't get them for the price here. They were a great instant improvement in how my VTX 1800 handles. I had the Dunlop 251's an OEM replacement before but the E 3's blow them away. The VTX came with Venoms on it which rode well but lasted only about 6500 miles. I'm hoping for better mileage with the E 3's.

Dunlop Elite 3 250mm tire
This tire looks great on my wife's bike, a 94 fatboy with a wide tire kit. It's a smooth ride and doesn't cause any handling problems because of it's width, so not only does the tread pattern look cool, it's functional. I haven't had the chance to ride it on a wet surface so I can't comment on that and of course I can't comment on tread life being that I've only had it on the bike for about a month. So far I would recommend it to others.

I have a 2008 V-ROD and these tires work excellent on it for me. I wanted a wider tire so I purchased the 250/40VR-18. A 240 comes stock on the bike. The 250 handles just as well as the 240 and fills out the rear end of the bike! Excellent tire for normal riding. And the price from Motorcycle Superstore is UNBEATABLE!!!!!! I love my E3
I put these tires on an 01' Harley Davidson Ultra. I've only put 2,000 miles on the tire. What I'm most impressed about is you do not feel the grooves in the road. The tire balanced very good, but had to put a little weight on it. I hope to get more miles out of the E3 than I did my ME88. I haven’t yet been able to test these tires on wet pavement though!

Dunlop- Elite 3 Tour Rear Tire
I recently replaced my rear tire on my 2006 Victory Jackpot, Victory OEM tire was an elite 3 250X18 as is the replacement tire. I immediately noticed a big difference in the handling from the new tire. The original tire was difficult to maneuver at slow speed and did not like to hold long sweeping turns; it was very stabile on highways at speed. The new tire seems to be able to overcome the drive problems in the original tire; I also order the VR model with the higher speed rating. I'll do it again.

Ok I bought this tire looking for a better replacement to the 402 DL. The 402 only gave me 7K miles, this is the rear. So far the Elite 3 is jamming. The cornering is just awesome. The road grooves, all I can say is what road grooves:) don't feel them. You know the ones when they are repairing the roads and they cut the road up and it looks like you just drug your fingers through a bed of sugar. I would recommend this tire. Can’t say on tread life, if I can remember I will update when it reaches 10K, no wet weather yet.

Elite 3 Tires
I replaced the stock front and rear tires with the E3's around 200 miles ago. They went on a '03 Road King. Stock size MT on the front and the MU on the rear. The MU is a tight fit but it does. I do a lot of twisty mountain riding. I can't comment on tread life or wet traction yet, but stability, cornering (break em in first for 50 miles or so) and dry traction are fantastic. It's been triple digit hot and they still stick. I only got around 6k out of the 402's. If these go that far I'll be perfectly happy. Order and delivery went off without a hitch and it was the best price too.

Dunlop - Elite 3 Tour Rear Tire
So far, this tire seems to be well worth it's money. We have always had a Metzler tire which is almost twice the amount of money and wore really fast due to the softness of the tire. The Dunlop is a little more rough riding because it isn't as soft. The only thing that I noticed was that it doesn't fill out the rim as well as the Metzler.

So far, so good. It was between the Avon Venom and the Dunlop Elite 3. A buddy just put the Avon on his bike, so we'll see how they compare mileage-wise. This is an upgrade size; the original tire was a 150 - this is a 160. Even though it seems like a tiny difference, it is noticeable and quite agreeable. Dunlop Elite 3 Tour Rear Tire
I ride a 2003 Road King Fireman’s Edition. I changed from a Dunlap 402, what a great difference. I no longer feel the grooves or lane bumps in the road. It is a smooth ride over all. In appearance it looks much better than the 402. I was also told by dealerships not to mix front and rear tire tread patron. What a crock that was. My front is a 402 which will be changed to the Elite 3 when worn out.

I went from an Elite 2 to an Elite 3 and the difference was enormous. On the rear of a '97 goldwing with my 147 lb wife and my 210 lb frame, this tire instilled confidence in every corner I took. My wife commented after the first ride she took with me, "It seems like you really put the bike into the turns more." That's the confidence this tire instills. If it wears anything like the Elite 2 then it should last 25 to 30 thousand miles.

Dunlop Pleased with the Tire
I purchased this tire about 2000 miles ago. The tire was quick to break in, quiet, and has very good stability in dry, wet and cornering. I put this tire on the rear of 1600 Nomad. It is a bit smaller than stock and I had to mount the tire myself. It was a struggle as this was the first tire I ever mounted, what surprised me was how strong the side walls are. My bike is 800 lbs and when I lowered it back down off the jack I forgot to put air back in it, and the tire held the weight of the bike. I don't know if this is good or not, but I figure if the tire starts to get low in air, it is plenty strong to hold up. I also figure that if the walls are this rigid riding on a heavy bike in the corners shouldn't make the back squirrely, and so far so good. The tire wear has been very good so far also.

From OEM to replacement.
Believe it or not, I still had my original rear tire on my Honda GL1500 Goldwing. I had replaced the front with the Dunlop Elite 3 and could realy feel a positive difference in handling. Because of that I put the same tire on the rear. Extremely smooth cornering. Because of limited miles driven since replacement I cannot really make a comment on different road conditions handling. The only negative was size. Only replacement available is one width size smaller than the original tire. There is definitely no loss in handleing because of it though. A plus is the increase in weight capacity. On a big cruiser that's a plus. Worth every penny!

Dunlop E3 on Honda GL1800
I ride my Gold Wing for work. Every weekend and once a month I teach on the track. I have used every tire available for the bike and the Elite 3 is by far the best. With the bike leaned to the pegs with a full roll-on, even in cold, wet conditions, they provide excellent traction. I average 6000 miles on a set but average riders can expect 10000 to 18000.

Smooth running VTX 1800
I bought a set of the elite 3's a month ago, I have only put about 500 miles on my bike in the last month so here is how I feel. The tire price was $40 cheaper than any where else on the net(good). I usually run Dunlope d251's, because they get good mileage and not bad performance. First off, I really liked the looks of the new tire, it appears to be beefier than the d251, I like the tread pattern, The VTX is a heavy bike, These tires handle that weight very well, and it appears that the corners are not causing premature wear. They are quite, and have a smooth secure feel. Will see how they hold up to Texas heat.

This tire can't be beat for the money. It should have been OEM on the bike. The turn in is so much more stable now and the traction is unbelievable. I have been caught in the rain with this tire already and was very surprised at how well it handled. Much better than the original Dunny 240.

Just recently installed the tire to replace a Conti Milestone that didn't give great mileage at all, about 5.5k before needing replacing. I haven't had a chance to put many miles on it due to some recent spring snow but so far the tire has exceeded my expectations. Much more stable than the Metz 880 and oem dunlop but lots more tread depth and great in the wet. I'll post another review once I get some more miles on em.

I had Avon tires originally. I heard good things about the Dunlop E3s and decided for the price they are worth a try. I haven't put many miles on them yet since winter returned to Colorado. However, the 100 miles I did ride the tires performed great. They mounted on the rims without issue and look great. I will know more once I get more miles on them but so far so good. I can't rate wet tractions yet or tread life so I rated them a 3.

Great tire with good looks, corners great, had to get used to it though, previous tire was a more square shouldered HD tire. Pay attention to the tread pattern and direction of rotation. The tread pattern is opposite of the front E3, it is supposed to be like this!!

Dunlop - Elite 3 Tour Rear Tire
Just finished installing the tires, it made a tremendous difference in how the bike handles. The bike feels much better when cornering, hugs the road. Wet traction seems to be fine, have not had to try it yet. I have not put many miles on yet, so tread life will have to wait. They also make my 1982 KZ750 look great with the black walls. Price and delivery was much better than I could get locally, about half price when you include tubes, rim strips and free delivery. Delivered straight to my door, no driving around town searching for tires, tubes or rim strips.

I love the low profile and wide stance of this tire but it does not mount like the original. The shop I installed the tire at informed me that the tire will leave the lip of the rim sticking out. Sure as hell, it did.

dunlop elite III 240 rear tire
So far my wife and I are pleased with the tire; it’s smooth and handles well, on dry and wet roads. I cannot rate tread wear because we only have around 300 miles on it, but for the Dunlop soft rubber it seems to be wearing just fine. I would buy another elite III 240!

Handling and traction seem good. Not impressed with the way the tire stays away from the flange on rim. Also not impressed with the way the tread pattern makes the rear end wobble at slow speed. Running on it I will see how it last. Price was good.

Great tire
This is the best rear tire I have had on my 2007 Nomad. Go ahead lean into the corners, it will grip and remain true in grooved roads and track straight. I have not had the opportunity to rate tire in wet conditions but believe it will do well. Dunlop’s are well known for stability in wet conditions. I hope I get the expected tread wear as these are somewhat more expensive than other competitor’s tires. The ride is nice and smooth and so far I'm very well pleased with this tire.

This tire is JUNK stay away will not seat right on the rim will not balance.
Out $90.00 on mounting and dismounting!!!Not happy at all.
Did some research and have found other people have had the same problem. Going back to a Metzeler 880.

Dunlop Elite 3 is very good buy.
I really like this tire and the price could not be beat. Shipment was very fast and it was a very good experience. I was very pleased with the Dunlop Elite 3 tire. Once it was mounted it looked great. It has a very wide profile and rides great. I could really tell the difference in this tire and the OEM tire that came on the bike. e3 is outstanding!!!!
I have had 3 sets of e3 Dunlops on my GL 1500 Goldwing. I do a lot of hard riding solo and gentle touring with my co-rider aboard. On the current set I have logged 10k and have about 50% life left. Have had a puncture with a large screw just before replacing the last set and i had minor air loss and it just got us home. The handling is outstanding on my big bike. I replace them myself and they just fit! Balancing takes minor added weight. I have the shop spin them. All said "best I’ve ever had".

I was first to get a M109R in S.C. and when I picked up my bike I asked how much the replacement tire was ($502.00) from the factory. I got 7,300 miles out of that softer tire. I can see for $155.00 I will be over 15,000 on my bike. Great deal and it really looks good.
