Stock Replacement for my Sportster
This is the tire that came stock on my Sporty, and while I was not happy with the tread life of the stock set (6K) I did buy the scoot used and the PO ran it ludicrously under inflated. I am hoping for better out of this set, but at the price they had it for with free shipping I wasn't willing to branch out yet. They look great and rode great, although wet traction sucks at the end of any tires life. So far I am happy, although I didn't expect the beads to be as stiff as these are, good grief they were harder to mount than other tires I have mounted. The front wasn't too bad to get on, no real trick to it.

These are the original equipment tires for my bike. Because of the handling on both wet and dry roads I will continue to keep these tires on the bike. The tread life is excellent as well. I would recommend these tires to everyone.

Dunlop tires on my sportster
I had just prior to replacing the front tire had just replaced the rear. These were the stock tires that were on the bike. I have been very pleased with them. The price from the motorcycle store was great and I got free shipping. I like the tread on the tires. They are a smooth ride and corner well. I got good life out of the last set. I went to the local Harley Dealership and they wanted $209.00 for the tire and to change it. I bought the same tire at the Motorcycle Superstore and had it mounted for at a local motorcycle shop for half the price the Harley Dealer wanted. Can’t beat the price on the short shipping time. HD Dunlop D401 fromt tire 100/90/19
This is the tire that comes with the 2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster from the factory. While not the best tire out there and actually hated by many, I think it is actually a pretty good compromise between performance and wear. The tire is stable and corners well, it is ok in wet conditions. Again, it is not the best at any of those, but my original front tire lasted over 20K miles. This makes this tire significantly less expensive to run. Everyone needs to do their own compromise analysis. For me this works as a great budget tire that fits my riding style well.

A GREAT TIRE
I have had this tire on my 1976xlh sportster since I bought the bike in 1996. Just now having to replace it because of sidewall checking. Had a heart attack and couldn't ride much. I’m better now and I can tell you this tire will take abuse and very hard cornering. I scrape my foot pegs regular and never a hit of front-end wash. Lean this baby over and pout the throttle to it. I can't wait to get my new Dunlop.
