Avon Venom X tires on an XL1200C
I bought both front and rear Avon Venom X's to replace the stock Dunlop’s on my 2005 Sportster 1200 Custom. First impression is far better ride/handling quality and lower noise. I have to say I'm really impressed with the difference in these so far and I hope I get decent wear out of them (I got 12k out of the Dunlop’s). I mounted and balanced these myself with no problems whatsoever. I'm running 36 psi front/39 psi rear per the recommendation on the Avon website for my bike. I can't believe I haven't tried these before now!

Glad I finally bought AVON Tires....
My first time with the Avon - AM42 Venom Rear Tire. I also bought an AVON for the front. These tires outperform any other brand I've used in the past. Great traction wet or dry. Super sticky in the tight curves of the scenic highways near here. Without a doubt I'll continue to buy my AVON Tires from the Motorcycle Superstore. Oh yeah, the 'Best Prices' to boot.

Avon Venom Tire for Harley Touring Bike
If you get off the main highways you have to change out of the stock Harley tires. I've found Venoms superior in many handling respects, especially cornering. Down sides are they are a few dollars more expensive, they last roughly the same amount of miles as a Dunlap, the finish usually is not as nice. All in all, they are a superior tire and I've used them for years and recommended them to many friends.

Great for my VMAX
This is the only tire I have had on my VMAX. It grips the road and instills confidence in hard cornering. I take off fast all the time and never worry about tire slippage.

NICE TIRE

Best price for best tire
This is the only tire I use on my 96 Honda Shadow VT1100c. It is a tight fit but works well and handles great. I get around 15,000 miles on each set of these Avons. Had set shipped to Preferred installer in my area who was great on service and on price also.

Awesome tire.I purchased front and rear tire. My bike handles easier. I also get a smoother ride. I have not ridden in the rain, but I have ridden after it rains and sand accumulates on the road.No problem with tires sticking to the road. I really don't care how long they'll last as long as I have a safer ride. Tires have been everything I expected them to be and more.OEM Dunlops have been thrashed even though,I only had less than 500 miles on them.

Great tire for those that desire the best compromise between grip and durability. Smooth ride adds miles to the day, superb grip inspires confidence in corners and encourages the rider to look for curvy roads. Easy to mount and balances well.

Avon Venom Rear Tire
Great tire!!! Really softens the bumps out. Great in the rain. Will be my next tire when I wear this one out. Too soon to say on mileage, but should be as good as Dunlops.

Avon - AM42 Venom Rear Tire
This is the second set of Avon Venoms I have put on my 2004 Roadglide and the performance and traction are superior to any other tire out there. I could never get the ride or performance from the stock Dunlops that came with my bike so I switched to the Venom series. I ride in all kinds of weather including rain and have got caught in the snow, and at moderate speeds I still felt safe with these tires. The only down side is they are a little soft for a full size touring bike and need to be replaced a little sooner than the stock ones. But I will gladly give that up for the safety and handling and peace of mind they give me on the road.

Because of time restraints, havent had time to put wheel with tire now mounted back on rear of '03 Anniversary Edition HD Heritage Softail Classic. Did some research on-line before choosing this tire as I'm hoping it will wear longer than previous brands I've tried. Wish me luck.

Avon - AM42 Venom Rear Tire
After installation of this tire in mid April on my 2007 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, I rode over 1000 miles on a four day road trip to the Texas Hill Country. The tire seems smoother than my stock tire was and grips the road really well. Had some rain on the trip and lots of twisting curving roads. Not a slip or slide with this new tire. When I replace my front tire, it will also be an Avon.

Love Them
Well, over the last couple of weeks, I have managed to put a few hundred miles in these tires and although there is still a lot of sand on the roads here, so far, the tires are great! They really seem to make my big wing, seem, nimble! Love them so far!

I'm stickin' with Avon
Just took off my Metzeler ME880 which only had a few hundred miles on it. Wanted to see what the difference was and how it compared to the AM42. Hands down I think the Avon tire is superior. In terms of longevity, I understand that the Metzeler will outlast them all. It may last twice as long as the Avon, but for a little over a hundred bucks for a tire that will last me a couple of years (somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 miles) I'm stickin' with the Avon. Great road hugger and really smooth!

Avon-Am42 Venom Rear Tire
I've only had the tire for a few hundred miles but the first ride I could tell a difference. The Avon tire is so smooth you hardly know that anything is back there. Handling and cornering is excellent. Not enough miles on tire to tell about wear.

Avon-AM42 Venom Rear Tire
Have had the Avon Venom rear tire now for about a month and really love the tire. Could really tell the difference as soon as I started riding on it! The bike rides and turns much better. Saved a lot of money buying through the Motorcycle Superstore, about sixty dollars and the shipping was free! Will be buying a new front tire soon from the Motorcycle Superstore!

Excellent Tires!
I put these on my Dyna Superglide, they look great and made a huge difference from my old Dunlops. I haven't had these long enough to judge the long-term durability but their very smooth tires and stick to the ground like no other and I highly recommend them!

Safe and sound
Having my new Venom rear tire, I was amazed by the amount of tread depth this tire offers. I only put a couple hundred miles on it, but I can't imagine I wouldn't get a lot more. The price of the tire was the least expensive I found. I will do more business with the “superstore”. Thanks.

Venom Rear Tire
I've been wanting to get rid of the stock Dunlop tires that originally came on the bike. The Avon tire has a softer rubber compound and isn't quite as stiff as the Dunlops. I like the “sticky” tires for better handling. I realize I won't get as many miles out of this tire but it's worth it for the performance aspect.

Avon Venom AM42
This is the factory tire on my bike. It hooks up well and surprisingly also does well in mileage. I am running the same tire on the front as the rear and have about 10,000 mile on the front one. The rear tire's life was only cut short by the burnout pit.
