Item Description

Michelin Commander II Cruiser Rear Tire

The Michelin Commander II tire combines a great brand with an excellent product that exceeds cruiser segment expectations. The Commander II provides unmatched longevity as well as style and stability even in wet weather. Designed with a brand-new tread compound that is formulated without aromatic oils to improve grip and mileage. In additon, the computer-based tread design maximizes mileage and encourages even wear.
  • Aramid tread plies resist centrifugal growth along with weight savings, providing perfect stability at high speeds
  • Aramid is stronger than steel and is used in aerospace and military applications
  • A highly dense polyester tire carcass increases belt-ply resistance and provides better overall rigidity to provide high-speed stability along with all-weather handling
  • A square bead wire package helps to ease installation and also increase casing rigidity for improved stability
  • Tread pattern maximizes water evacuation and grip on wet roads
  • 360 degree serrated and suspended sidewalls to give an impeccable finish along with a unique logo

Michelin Commander II

Only ridden 400 miles and no rain, yet. More comfortable ride on my Dyna Lowrider which has been lowered. I am satisfied so far. My mechanic highly recommended this tire instead of the HD Dunlop which is the only brand I've purchased.

Commander II on rear of 02 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100

I've put a few hundred miles on a Commander II that I put on the rear of my Sabre - it replaced a Dunlop 770 that comes as the OEM tire. I've taken it through some twisties in the North Georgia mountains as well as some highway and local driving. I'm very happy with the handling so far, but haven't had a chance to test it in wet weather. Only time will tell as to how well it will wear. I'm not holding my breath for 20K+, but I'd be happy with 15K.

So far has lived up to the good reviews

Haven't had this tire long enough to speak about tread life, but as far as handling and stability, I couldn't be happier.

I don’t have a lot of miles on them but don’t really notice a difference from the dunlop's.

Michelin Com II

Rode them in the rain, no complaints, sticky on dry pavement. I have pushed the tire on corners seems to track well and no sliding observed. 2004 HD Dyna Low Rider.

Great tire so far.

Great tire so far. Price is really good. Had to give lower marks for tread life due to for having the tire for 2 months or so. But so far, tread is great after a couple thousand miles. Traction and braking in the rain is awesome, couldn't ask for a better tire.

REAR TIRE

Just replaced a Dunlop on the rear and WOW! Twice the traction and lot smoother ride. I'm sold on this tire, no matter what mileage I get! Recommend this tire to anyone.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THESE!

I put both front and rear on my 07 Softtail Custom. So far very impressed. Went through NC mountains in a lot of rain and about 1" of snow; handled very well and stopped supurbly. Not sure about the longevity yet so standby for an update later.

Great tires

This is like getting a new bike. My sportster has never handled so well. Highly recommend for the handling and ride. We will see about the tread life.
