balancing
Tire seems to be fine for the price but when it was mounted and balanced it took 2 weights to balance compared to other tires that would only take 1 or none.

Shinko 777 Front and rear tire on Road Star
Have about 1000 miles on tires now. Very little wear on front, can still see seem. Back tire seems to be holding up good. The compound seems a little softer than the Metzelers I had on before. Got 8000 miles out of Metzelers, if these get 6000 they will be cost effective. Right now they look like they should go beyond that, but I doubt they make 8000. Rode in a heavy rain with moderate corners and bike was very stable. Softer compound makes for good dry traction as well. Very happy with purchase at this point.

WOW What a tire for the price!
I recently installed a set of the 777's on my '01 Dyna and then took a fifteen hundred mile ride up the coast of California and Oregon with my girlfriend (and lots of luggage) on them the next day. I was shocked at the handling and smoothness of the tires. I was a little worried that my bike wouldn't take the corners as well as it did with the stock tires at first but I soon found myself pushing it a little harder each turn I came to and not once did I feel any loss of traction or feel the bike drift. The temperatures during my trip varied from 65 deg. 108 deg. with some moisture on the road along the coast. Even while going from dry warm pavement to cool wet pavement the tires showed no signs of loss of traction. The treadwear is great and I should get more life out of these tires than the Dunlops that came stock on my Harley. Besides they look great too! I will buy another set when this set is gone!
