Great Tire

When I purchased my Yamaha Stratoliner 2 years ago, the tire came as oe. Due to the size of the rear tire, 190-60-17 I had a problem finding a replacement. I have always had excellent service with the Motorcycle-Superstore in the past and should have gone to their website first. They had the OEM replacement at a great price and I had the tire less than a week after I ordered it. I recommend this tire for anyone with a cruiser and especially recommend the Motorcycle-Superstore.

My Star / Stratoliner came with Dunlop OEM

The OEM tires that came with my 2008 Star / Stratoliner were ok when new but lacked a good tread design to channel water to prevent hydroplaning. I have had Bridgestone tires on a previous bike and loved them for all kinds of weather handling. I have already been caught out in the rain once since I have gotten these on and could feel the difference.

This is my second set of 850'S, best set of tires I've put on my 08 Stratoliner. Cornering, stability when laying it over, it just feels tight. I got 11,500 on the front tire an 10,400 on the rear tire.

Exedra G850 OEM rplcmnt rear tire

I've installed Exedra replacement tires on two cycles, both have given excellent results over the OEM Dunlops. The 1st bike was a V-rod, handling and mileage was much improved. The 2nd bike is a Victory Kingpin 8 Ball, which also exhibited like results, even though' it is a different purpose bike. What I like about the tire(s); Dunlops are heavy-Exedras aren't- both are performance rated the same. The V-rod Dunlop has a “mileage” section molded into the tire that you must wear down to achieve a round cross and proper handling. The Exedras start out round and stay that way for the most part. Stability and predictability has a good, flat performance curve. I'd recommend these tires to anyone seeking great performance and mileage.

Second Set

This my second set of these tires for my Star Roadliner and I have no complaints only compliments. The OEM's on my bike were Dunlop which performed well but were lacking in tread life (around 8500 miles) and that was with taking all the measures to reduce tread wear. I cut these tires no slack and get 10,000 miles from the rear tire and 12,000 out of the front. Thanks Motorcycle-Superstore for supplying great tires at a great price.

This tire does very well. I had one just like it previously and got such a good deal, I was a return buyer. Best price I could find for these tires. Was going to try Dunlop’s but you can only get the rear tire for a for a Stratoliner from Yamaha and they wanted 350.00 Dollars. Seems to be a good tire, only second set. I have not tried any other tires. I only got about 6000 miles of tread life out of these and have not read anything about any other brands that get any more than that on a big cruiser. Might try the Metzler XXL Marathon next time. But As far as dealing with Motorcycle Superstore Its been excellent.

Best tire I've ever used for the price...............

I've had them all, Metzeler, Avon, Dunlop. They all get about the same mileage on my 2004 VTX 1800c 6000-7000 miles. The tire performs well on any surface at any speed, loves to corner at speed and has lots of tread in the center for good mileage. The real thing I like about it is I hardly had to add any weights to balance it. And number 1 reason was It is $70.00 less than a Metzeler or Avon.

Good rear tire.

As soon as I had this tire installed I took my Road Warrior for a 600 mile cruse from S. Florida to N. Georgia. A lot of sunny weather, but hit a few hard downpours as well. I am pretty pleased with the traction it provided in the pouring rain, but I have felt better grip on the rear tire in the rain, so I can't give it a 5 there. If you are only going to be riding in dry conditions, excellent tire. Good grip, warms up quickly, hugs turns.

Great tire, great price

I have a built 07 Stratoliner with the Patrick Racing 3mm overbore, 10-75:1 compression, ported and polished heads, overbored throttle bodies, baron intake kit. With over 190ft lbs of torque and 170hp, the OEM Dunlops only gave me around 4000 miles of service; were horrible in the rain; and just did not hook up. I went thru 2 rear and 1 front in a year (you can find them aftermarket it you look). I went with the Bridgestones exedra G850and 851 this time. The cornering traction is awesome, no more fishtailing or back end coming around on shifting shift. Wet weather is superb. I can do knee draggers now like I do on my Hyabusa. The rubber compound is very sticky, they will throw small gravel into the fender (undercoating the fender took care of that). I cannot rate the mileage as of yet as I have only put on 3200 miles on them, but there is still 75% remaining tread, and both cost the same as one of the Dunlop rears

I have had the '98 Valkyrie for 42K miles. Tires don't last as long as other bikes. The BRIDGESTONE 850 works good for 5K miles when performance started droping off. With this it still does good for 7K miles. The Metzeler only lasted 6K but kept good traction till steel was showing. Sport bike tires only last 4K. My next tire won't be a Metzeler or sport bike tire! Only have to watch for poor performance during breaking neering end of tread life!

Good Grip

In order of grip and handling on tires I have used on my bike. #1-The G850, #2 Dunlops K591 and #3 is the M880. For anyone who says there isn't much tread life....DUH!!! Good grip equals short tire life. Oh, and so you don't think I'm just BS'ing you. I ride a 08 Superglide with 80,000 that I bought brand new. I will buy this tire again....and again, and again.

Bridgestone Exedra G850 OEM Replacement Rear Tire

Let's start by say that I ride my 06 Star Stratoliner "Like I Stole it". Corners very well wet and even better dry. Tire does make a little "squeeky" noise on the asphalt on the highway. Only down side is that after 6400 miles the tire is done for; white rubber and cloth showing in the center of the tire now. But I can buy two of these for the price of the Dunlop which will only get 2000 more miles than the Bridgestone. New Bridgestone ExedraG850 coming today, Motorcycle Superstore doesn't play around with their orders and the shipping was free. Can't beat that!

Bridgestone - Exedra G850 on 09 Victory Kingpin

On Aug 19, 2010 I replaced the Stock Dunlop tire on my Victory Kingpin Tour with the Bridgestone Exedra 850. I had some reservations but after a few hours of research I decided to give it a try. So after a three thousand mile trip with full gear, three rides up and down the dragon on the hairpins, the tire handled superbly. The Hundred mile ride in the rain at highway speeds and secondary road speeds was as good as it can be riding in the rain. Now we will see how many miles the tire will last but so far for 128 dollars it an exceptional deal.

I like the it handles, it handles better than the Dunlop 3 Elite I had on their but I don't know about tread life yet or how well it handles in the rain, if cornering is any indication of how well it will endure through the other tests then I think it will be fine.

Bought these for a 2006 Victory Kingpin. Have not had them long enough to rate wet traction or tread life. They are much more responsive than the Dunlops I took off. The Dunlops made slow close maneuvering feel like driving a large truck. I wanted a bit stickier tire and I'm very happy with these. Even when I've locked up the rear tire due to over braking it was quite controllable.

This tire came as original equipment on my '08 Yamaha Roadliner. I plan to replace it with the same tire because I am pleased with it's performance and tread life. The original tire lasted over 14,000 miles on this 800 lb bike and corners good and rides very comfortably.

Tire is used on a Star Stratoliner. 2nd time for this tire. The tire produces noise. With only 1000 miles it has already started to show tread wear. Will be lucky to get 6000 out of the tire. On wet road it wants to break loose at sort of roll out. Had Avon on the bike before and had better results just could not get the OEM size. Would like to try DUNLOP D251 but have to go to dealer and pay twice the amount for the tire. Probably the last time to buy Bridgestone.

This being an OEM tire I still think that a large cruiser like the Yamaha Roadliner deserves a better tire. With today’s technology you would think that they could make a tire that gets more than 10-12 thousand miles. That being said the comparable Dunlop at $250-300 makes the Bridgestone seem like a good deal!

Great Tire!

I don't ride in the rain, but when the weather is nice I love to ride my Stratoliner either by myself or with my wife. The bike is pretty heavy about 800 lbs. and I go about 230 and my wife is about 125. These tires perform well but I have gone through 2 of them in 4120 miles. I think they ought to sell them in a six-pack that comes in a handy trailer package that you could tow behind for long rides. I spend as much for tires as I do for fuel to go equal distance.

The 180/55/18 Excedra tire performs very well in all weather and riding conditions. However it has 5000 miles on it now and needs to be replaced soon. No tread is left in the center of the tire. I am going to try one more and see if I do better with the next one.
