Sometimes we get new tires and swear the bikes performance has improved! Like after an oil change, that boost is mostly in our imaginations. Is there any measurable difference? I ran stock Dunlops on my NightTrain for over 2yrs & always scraped pegs on sharp turns. I switched to Night Dragons from Pirelli and could swear that scraping was nearly gone. This results in more confidence on twisties and a big smile. I recommend these tires.

Great tires
I have always purchased the Dunlop HD tires. When I left the HD dealership with these new Pirelli's, my bike rode better than new and I have 50K miles. Highly recommended. Not enough miles yet to rate the tread life but I was forced to choose so the tread life rating may not be accurate.

Pirelli Night Dragon Front Tire
I have less than 10k miles on this tire on my '08 Ultra Classic. Won't buy another one. The tire wears with a ridge down the center and the tire cups on each side of the ridge. I went with this tire because the reviews raved about them, but they are much worse than the Dunlops. I at least got 25k miles of even wear from the Dunlop.

My second set
The traction isn't as good as Metz ME880 or Avon Venom that I usually run BUT these lasted as long and are cheaper. Don't get me wrong, these do have decent traction (better then OEM Durnflops and Slipstones) but under harder braking I have had the rear skid unexpectedly quite a few times when Avons or Metz would'nt have. Great miles/price ratio.

I'm Sold!
These tires are fantastic! I read reviews and narrowed it down to Metzeler 880 and the Night Dragons. It's like having a new bike. They are so much better than the OEM Dunlops. Cornering stability is amazing, they handle pavement changes great, no wobbles over splits and cracks in road. These are mounted on a 2005 XL 1200R and I ride it pretty hard. I ride very twisty roads and these tires allow me to drag the footpegs before I lose confidence in the grip. Couldn't do that with the Dunlops.

BEST PRICE I FOUND
I SAVED ABOUT $45.00 GETTING AT THE Motorcycle Superstore. 500 miles - too early to rate tread life, but so far so good on everything else.

Corners like it's on rails
Way better than the original tires that came with the bike, although, those weren't bad either. But, these tires seem to "stick like glue" to the roads. I corner hard...and these tires seem to like my style of riding. I look forward to showing off on the CA mountains roads.

Pirelli front tire
It's been raining here since I put the tires on and haven't ridden a lot of miles. So far, so good.
