This works great on my 97 wide glide. The quality is very good but the assembly is not all that easy. It required re-doing the turn signal wiring as opposed to a straight bolt on to the shock mount. It works very well, but required a lot more installation work than was shown in the ad.

After reading the reviews I was glad when I got them to find that the installation on my 1997 Sporty was easier than expected. Didn't have to jack the bike up. They were on in an easy half hour.

VERY NICE QUALITY, HAD TO DO SOME ADJUSTMENTS AND BENDING ,PURCHASE LONGER BOLTS AND NUTS. OVERALL WHEN I WAS DONE IT LOOKED LIKE A A MILLION BUCKS ESPECIALLY ON MY HARLEY.

Shipping was fast but I too have to go get a longer bolt, looks to be 4" although I see one post above calling for 3.5" and one for 4". Will go look tomorrow at Fasten-All. I have the removable rack and sissy bar which required me to bend the saddle bag support bracket in a vice to get it to fit properly. Total time 60 min. including bending the bar a tad. Overall looks great and the chrome did not crack in the process of bending so I know it has a durable finish.

Fast service, thanks. They installed easily. I did have to buy a 5/16th x 3.5" bolt because I have the HD detachable sissy bar/back rest. The supplied bolt was just a bit too short. However, the shock remounted easily with the supplied bolt. Good, easy to follow directions. It was nice not having to relocate the signal lights.

The support brackets look good even without bags on them. I was worried that they may deter from my HD's look when I didn't have my bags on but not the case. They were fairly easy to mount. I did have to jack my bike up and release some of the tension on the shocks but it still only took about 30 minutes to attach both brackets.
