It was not a difficult installation, but it took a couple of tries to get the right fit around the fork tubes. The instruction read very much like the old stereo instructions

Newer,better!
This mounting hardware was to fit an old sport shield that I didn't use anymore to a friend's 650 v star and it is better by far than the older style mounts. Once installed the allen key is only needed to adjust the rake/height of the shield. Nice piece of kit!
