Item Description

National Cycle Universal Street Shield EX

You asked for it! By popular request, National Cycle has a Quick Release version of the ever popular Street Shield. This Shield is slightly taller and wider than the regular Street Shield, and it also comes with QuickSet™ quick release hardware.

ACRYLIC -- Includes brand names such as ICI Lucite®, Acrylite®. Acrylic is known for crystal clarity that stands the test of time with UV stabilization that prevents yellowing. Many years ago, during the development of the clear fairing, National Cycle found that ordinary drill mounting methods caused stress cracks and eventual breakage of acrylic shields. That's why they developed and use their patented No-Hole Ballsocket™ system on all of their acrylic products.

QuickSet Hardware -- This patented mounting system is designed for durability, ease of installation, and hassle-free removal. Permits 10-second windshield removal, and fairing removal in under 1 minute. The QuickSet mounts incorporates their No-Hole Ballsocket system.

Instructions should have some photos but worked it out in the end. Now tested through high winds and a thunderstorm so thumbs up!

In my opinion, this is the worst performing product I've ever bought from Motorcycle Superstore. It went on well, and looked great, with good quality, but It didn't work. The buffeting was so severe at 50 mph that I couldn't ride the bike. After some adjustment I tried it again with the same results. It takes a little wind off of your chest but the wind coming from the edges and top are amplified. Took it off, it just can't be used. What a shame and waste of money.

Very happy with the windshield, once I got it installed. Although it said it would fit my Suzuki Boulevard, the fork clamps were not large enough to go around the fork. Had to find an alternate way to clamp it to the forks, but once it was installed, I was very pleased with the protection from the wind. Overall, good product.

Had one on my shadow and had to sell it. Now I got a newer one and it did not have a shield on it. Found the same one that should say it all. Looks Great!!

Since Triumph America is not listed, I took a chance. It works perfect and looks really good. Be sure to order the oversized fork clamps.

After multiple tries, I ended cutting off an inch of the top risors. This gave me the perfect fit i was looking for. Man what a difference! Love it.

Given that this windshield didn't cost hundreds of dollars, it is a fine product. Solid, not too difficult to install, is fully adjustable and does a decent job of keeping wind off my face. I did experience some annoying wind around my ears so I simply loosened the windshield at four points, adjusted it up two more inches, and it is perfect now. Would recommend without reservations.

I had been looking at windshields for my new Triumph Bonne SE and decided on this one. It is not too big and not too small. Very good wind coverage and very sturdy. Somewhat tricky to install, but taking time and a little grinding it fit very well. Since the Bonne's handle bar is small and cluttered with controls the backside of the right side upper clamp had to be ground down a bit to make it fit, but once in (two hour install), it is great.
