Great for aftermarket swingarms
Works great no more guessing on swingarms with no alignment marks!

eye ball works as well
The rod is too short for accurate aligning the chain and sprokets. I can eye ball it just as well. Plus you have to take the chain guard off to make it work above the chain. You can make it work on the bottom also so you don't have to remove the chain guard. It is just a little more difficult to get your head down low enough to see the alignment when it is below.

Save your money
Better than just aligning the marks on the axle right? First you will be required to remove the chain guard. Not a big deal. Attachment to the sprocket is easy. Screws are cheesy, but do the job. I did a test. I aligned the axle with the tool only. Noted that my marks were off about a line width. Hmmm, new bike, alignment marks wrong? So then I aligned chain with the marks only, and put the alignment tool on, dead on. Summary: the alignment marks on the frame are superior.

Takes a little practice
Didn't quite get my chain/tire into alignment the first time I used it with my Kawasaki Versys. However, after a little practice with it I was able to get my wife's Ninja 250 set up nicely. Helps to remove the chain guard (well, really you'll have to) and have a nice bright light source to sight down the chain. And some patience.

great product, huge time savings
This product is a great benefit. I KNOW my chain is aligned with this. And I can get it there fast. The poor rating on durability is because of the plastic clamp screw that I know I will break or wear out sooner or later. A stainless screw for this would be a much better choice.

great and easy to use tool
Been using these for years, they always work well. I got tired of short lived and expensive laser units.

works pretty good for the money
Bought this for my 2008 cbr1000rr and it seems to be accurate. Way better than using the marks on the swingarm! I would recommend this to anyone want to get a good alignment.
