Dunlop tire stem not good for old harleys
Well, I thought I should write in and tell what my Bike mechanic said about the Dunlop tube I got for my Harley 1980 XL with spoked rims. He said that the tube stem should be rubber, and not the steel type for my rims. Too bad. I reused the old tube.

Well first off, the dealership would not tell me the size of the tube I needed they said I was taking their money!! BS!! Anyway I asked the help assistance on this site and got the assistance needed and saved me 10 bucks. I did not install the tube but the looks of it were great when I brought it in to have it put on. I would recommend this to pair with D401 rear tire for FLSTC 2008.

You do need to replace the tubes
Some guys may try to cheap out and not run new tubes. I don't think it’s worth it-given what it takes to pull the tires off in the first place. Replaced the tubes when I replaced the tires. Dunlop’s have served me well in the past and expect them to do so in the future.

Dunlop - Tube for Harley Davidson
I have an 02 Electra Glide. It's a good heavy duty tube for any tire. I use only Dunlop 402 HD. I get 10,000 miles on the rear & 15,000 on the front. The tubes look like new when I replaced them. ALWAYS replace the tube & rim strip when replacing a tire. They don't cost that much; "don't put a dime in front of a dollar".
