I love this lock except for one feature. There is a beeping timer that activates when you disturb the bike or insert the key to unlock the alarm. If you fumble with unlocking the alarm for even the slightest bit too long, the beeping timer will run out and you'll have hell itself rising up to scream in your ears as you try to get the damn thing unlocked. The alarm works really well at what it's supposed to do though.
Good over-all But a bit Annoying

The sensor is sensitive & alarm tends to go off rather quickly. The paint scrubbed off after placing it in my R1's "trunk" (underneath the passenger's seat).
Solid lock, very loud!

This isn't some cheap, flimsy lock! Very heavy, very solid, and ear-splittingly loud. Alarm speaker is affixed to the inside of the lock, so it can't be easily punctured. Lock will fit just about any rotor size. Tamper sensor is quite sensitive. I use the XX6 on the rear and XX10 on the front, so if somebody attempts to tamper with one, the activity sets off the other.
Too many false positives

This goes off a couple nights a week randomly. I look out in the driveway, and there's nothing there. It's at the 6 o'clock position on the left half of the bike, the supposed least sensitive place, with a cover on my SV650. Perhaps a cat rubs against the lock and sets it off - but that seems unlikely.
strongly recommend
