Black Chatworth,  CA Maxima Chain Wax I use this on my mountain bike, as in bicycle--engine, just me. I was buying fork oil at a motorcycle shop and saw this stuff. Reasoning that if it works on a motorcycle, where the chain is way more stressed than on a bicycle, it might be good for my mountain bike. It isn't just good, it's great. I remove the chain and heat it up, then soak it on each side, fanning the links so it gets under the plates. I ride almost every day. In the winter when the dust isn't bad I only have to lube about twice a month--a little more often in the dusty summer, which is twice as long as I've been able to go with any bicycle-specific lube. And it costs about half as much.

Stuart stuartaltman,  MD Maxima chain wax Product works just as described. Goes on wet and within a few hours turns into an amber colored thin wax. Went through a heavy rain storm and wax was still on the chain. Repels water nicely. I cleaned and re-lubed anyway after the storm.

Charles Wilson Ossining,  NY Maxima Chain Wax Works as advertised. Leave time for it to "set up" and it won't fling. The visible coating makes it easy to see when you've properly covered the chain. And you can see at a glance when it's time to do it again. Days of rain travel don't affect it. Very good.
