take the bad with the good
Overall i like the setup. my problem was it seems like you need a tall backrest to really support it but after getting it secured on the bike it did its purpose. i took a six day trip and ended up hitting plenty of weather on the way. was very happy to see that nothing inside was wet or damaged. for the price you can't beat the value, just wish it would fit a bit better.

This is a good back for the price. I did not want a leather bag and this is the best one I have come across that is not. Lot of storage area with some extra pockets on the outside for quick access. Only down side is the long straps. These can be difficult to secure so they are not blowing in the wind. But on the other hand, the long straps give you many options as far as where you can secure the bag to. I have placed it on the passenger seat as well as the luggage rack. My wife and I traveled for 3 days and it carried plenty of clothes.

I have been very happy with my luggage set. I just finished a 1000 mile trip and it held up nicely even in the rain. I would have liked to seen side pockets on the larger bag but overall I'm extremely pleased.

Great for the price
Its a pretty good pak. Very good for the price. It isn't 100% water proof but does an ok job. I had my bike outside for 2 days of rain, the inside was damp but not soaked. Its also very deep. I keep an extra helmet in mine and there is still lots of room for my school books.

Not Durable; Second Set Rips
The zipper in the plastic wet bag had blown out and a buckle had broken. Now, can you believe it, after a 12-day trip to Yellowstone, the same failures have occurred to the second set I acquired to replace the faulty first set. I found the strap length OK, extremely flexible. The biggest problem was the soft inner bottom, which tends to sag over the luggage rack and obscure the license plate and even possibly the bike taillight.

Great Value
I purchased this set for a week long trip. I have to say this was a good value for the money! I was able to pack for both of us for an entire week and still managed to have room for extra's along the way. I am very pleased with the durability and features the Rally Pack offers!

Rally Pack
I purchased this unit to add some storage room for my Venture Pack system. I was really impressed by the quality for such a low price point. I really loaded the lower main pack and used the smaller upper pack to access the stuff I needed during a break. I really liked the plastic wet bag that was included which I put my bathing suit in after a quick jump in the river to cool off, while keeping everything else dry. It also came with a cargo net which I used to hold my tent and sleeping bag on the back of the rack. The setup allowed me to lean back on it for those long straight stretches of Hwy. The only thing I didn't care for was the long length of the straps. I found them too long and will cut them to a shorter length the next time I go on a trip.

I have used the two piece Rally Pak two times, both for a 3 day weekend motorcycle camping trip. After making some adjustments in the tiedown straps, the luggage worked very well. Lots of room, well made and priced right. I used the luggage with a luggage rack on a Kawasaki 900 LT.

Yes it's a nice product, I ordered three of them was disappointed that there wasn't a rain cover with the packs. We took an 800 mile ride and our clothes got wet.

Not Too Shabby
The Dowco Rally Pack Luggage Set is a great buy. I have it on my 2005 Kawasaki Nomad and it fits pretty well. When you use the two pieces together it’s a little confusing to manage the straps but other than that it works very well.

Great pack for the price
This has been a great addition to my bike. The two bag system accommodates a variety of needs. The Velcro straps allow for a universal fit that should work for anyone. I have yet to use both bags at the same time, but I am very satisfied with the storage they provide individually. Only thing I would change would be to add more exterior pockets to the bags for small items.

I shopped high and low and decided on these bags. They fit a ton of stuff; I packed for a 5 day, 2000 mile trip and had plenty of room left over. It worked for a great back rest when I strapped it on my passenger seat. It is not listed as water proof but I rode through 2 days of hard rain and my stuff stayed 99% dry, small leak where I didn't have it zipped all the way. The velcro and regular connecting straps made it easy to put on the back of my wide sissy bar on a road king. I bought a set to put on my wife’s Dyna.

Luggage set kept things dry. Rode in the rain two days. I did not like the way it tied down but it did the JOB. A little modification on straps it will be fine.

Worked well
I ordered this set for my husband and I for a three day weekend ride to NC, about 700 miles round trip on two bikes. He has an Texas Chopper with a customer sissy bar but the larger bag was perfect and once strapped on (used a few extra zip ties) it was a perfect fit and gave him a back rest.
I put the roll bag on my HD Sportster with a smaller hard case (the one we use for day rides) above it for easy access to cell phone, glasses etc. It worked out just fine. We had rain on the way back and even tho we sheltered under an overpass for an hour, nothing inside any bags even got damp.
We had no problems with anything and I feel will be using these bags for some time to come. They are a great value.

Could have side pockets but for the price you can't go wrong. I braced the inside of the bag so it doesn't sag on the rear rack. Believe me the wife had it packed full big time. I have yet to use the roll bag on top of the other bag and I'm sure it will work out well.

This bag was a nice size bag and not to obtrusive. The only problem we had was there was a small tear in the side of the large bag and we had a trip we needed it for and were afraid to send it back for fear we would not have a new one in time. Otherwise, it is a nice bag and did the job.

Luggage Set
I received the luggage set and was a little apprehensive as I did not know whether it would work on my 2006 Victory King Pin Motorcycle. The set fit perfect. It has a lot of room and looks very nice. I use this luggage set for my camping trips in northern Wisconsin. It was a great purchase for me I am very happy with the luggage set.
