everything was fine other than a few bolts were too short for my 95 Magna....
Worth it in my opinion

Cleaned up the look significantly! Bolts were too short for all the bracketing but an easy fix at a hardware store. Took it on a trip to MI (450 miles) and not one issue so far. I used lock tight on the bolts to make sure they wouldn't come apart. Worth the money!

i have a 2009 suzuki boulevard, the bolts that came with the kit didn't fit it. so if i wanted to use the this kit, i would have to spend about another $25 in metric bolts. so but the brackets made for your bike. it was well worth the extra few bucks

Nice bags. Smaller than I thought they would be. I like the velcro tops that keep the tight fit. But after a few days on my bike they kinda sunk in.

Rating the Fit a 4 because of the trip to the hardware store. I bought this mount kit to match my Vulcan 900 SE Black. I didn't want chrome and the black finish is not as obvious for when I do not use my bags. Works as intended. Just used to support my MotoCentric Cruiser Slanted Saddlebags on a trip to Sturgis.
Bottom Line--it worked!

After reading the reviews on this mounting kit, I cheated and took the bags and mounting kit to my local shop. They had to use extra hardware and washers, and loctite to keep the bolts tight. Drilling was pretty tight as well. Despite this, they said the kit was solid and well made. I confirmed this on a multi-state ride with the bags attached. Zero problems, no shaking or vibration, nothing came loose. For the price, you can't wrong.
Works with Willie and Max bag but cheap looking.

Easy to install after a trip to the hardware store. Bolts did not fit my bike (97 Honda Shadow 1100). Hardware looks cheap. Works with Willie and Max bags if you want to hard mount. You will need a good imagination to get it to work well with the bags.
Plan on extra hardware!

The 10mm bolts have too coarse a thread for my '99 Honda VT1100D2. I will have to go to a specialty hardware store to get the correct ones. Extra trip plus extra money no cost benefit and no way to measure durability at this point.

The fender bolts that came with the kit were far to short to fit my Suzuki C-50. I had get bolts that were almost an inch larger. The whole process took almost 3 hours on the first bag and about 1 1/2 hrs on the second bag. I decided to get these mounts because I didn't want the yolks from my saddlebags showing. Even w/ my initial issues, I would still go this route in the future.

I am so impressed with this kit. As soon as I got it all together, I found that it's a lot stronger of a mount and has offered a MUCH greater amount of storage on the bike. No more flapping in the wind, no more having to fight with the passenger pad. I'm extremely happy with this. Thank you for having this item!
