I had the same thing but the smaller size and up dated to the larger size . These larger size look good but they feel like they was old stock that set and got hard where the old one I had were soft and easeier to close up .

River Road / Motorcycle Super Store
The River Road x-Large Classic Saddle Bags were of the the quality and price that I expected. I owned a smaller set of RR bags and had looked at some other manufacturers before this purchase. The only reason for the change was that I had changed the exhaust on My VTX1300 which allowed for larger bags. I wasn't thrilled that the manufacture packaging had created a fold in the mounting leather near one of the zippers making initial attachment of that bag a little awkward. With a little time the fold fell out as expected. As before, I had to punch additional adjustment holes to shorten the mount to keep the bags off my exhaust. The cut of the mounting leather was improved over my smaller set however and the mounted appearance was better.
RR bags are available locally at several dealers but not all RR items are stocked and none stocked these bags. Motorcycle Superstore offered me a better delivery and the shipping on this item was waved making my purchase from them a no brainer as Superstore's service has proven to be excellent.

River Road - Classic Slant X-Large Saddlebags
These bags look great on my bike. I had to add extra holes in the yoke to fit my bike and keep them off of the exhaust pipes (Suzuki Blvd M50). They were a bit stiff at first but with a little leather oil they have softened up perfectly. The name of the products say it all. They are very roomy. The outside pockets are perfect for a tool pack, a cell phone or anything small that you want easy access to. I took a roadtrip from San Diego to Phoenix on the old roads and they held enough stuff that I only had to bring a small duffle for the overflow.
