Saddlemen - Universal Saddlebag Support Brackets
I was unable to find a direct fit Support Bracket for my older bike so I tried these Saddlemen Universal Support Brackets and found them quite versatile. They are a little small for my bike and bags but do work well. I would like a slightly larger set but these will be ok for now.

They fit fine and the quality is ok but one bracket sticks out further than the other. The bags move around when riding unless you use the provided shoestrings to attach the bottom of the bags to the bike frame. These look very unprofessional. I am going to throw these brackets away and purchase Easy Brackets or Ghost brackets which attach directly to the bags and don't require shoestrings.

Saddlebag support brackets
Worked great on my 2008 Suzuki C-50. You will need longer bolts, the one's that come with it will not work not long enough. Had to go to local hardware store and spend $1.36 for longer bolts had them on in under 3 minutes.

NOT for Roadstars
I put these on a 2006 Yamaha Roadstar. They went on fine and appeared to be fine however, if you hit some descent bumps, the left side hits the belt guard. Mine hit hard enough it bent the bracket and scuffed up my belt guard pretty good.

Great look
I was finally able to mount my saddlebags and it only took about 20 mins. They were pretty easy to figure out (even with the lack of real instructions) and added the classic look to my bike. I spent a lot of time researching to find the right size for my bike when all along this was the perfect product.

Great Product
These brackets do exactly what they're advertised to do! They are VERY easy to install - takes only minutes. Quality chrome construction, easily adjustable, and come with lots of hardware (bolts, etc.) to fit all bikes. My only suggestion is that Saddlemen include rubber washers or grommets to protect the bike's chrome finish (to keep the chrome bracket from scratching the bike). I bought some for about a buck at a local hardware and they work great.

Great find...
I have an 03 Wide Glide and one would think these were made specifically to fit. I have smaller bags that fit in between the shock and signal lights - I did not want the supports that mount to the shock and open strut bolt cause that would hold to bags too far out for my liking. I used to open strut bolt and the end bolt behind the signal light and they look perfectly level with the road and work great. The kit contains dozens of bolts and more hardware than anyone would need, but my only complaint would be they were all standard, ugly bolts. Nothing matched what was on the bike so I ended up buying new matching bolts anyway. Oh and if you need a signal relocation kit - it's in there - nice little bonus.

Universal supports
I installed these on a 2006 Yamaha Roadstar. They installed fine and I soon left on a week trip. During the trip I noticed that one of the bags mount had tore out of the leather yoke. I removed the bag and found the support was badly bent. It appears that when you hit a bump in the road it hits the belt drive cover and scarred it up pretty good. I wouldn't recommend these on a Roadstar.

Great item
I ordered these because I needed some saddlebag supports for my Sportster and anything Harley sells is WAY overpriced. These brackets fit great! They were easy to install as well. My only complaint is that the bolts it comes with are too short, and other reviewers have said the same thing, but a quick trip to the hardware store and all was well. Very pleased with this purchase!

Saddlebag support brackets
The universal saddlebag support brackets are of good quality and price, and adaptable to my Honda, and probably most other cycles since they are hinged to accommodate different anchor bolt widths. The hinge however should be covered with electrical or other adhesive tape to prevent friction of the hinge area against the inner surface of the bag causing potential damage. I have noted none, having done the above preventively.

Fit my V-Star with no problems
I was able to mount the universal support brackets on my V-Star 1100 Classic in 15 minutes. All necessary hardware was included.

A bit small
I could wish for a little larger mounts since they seemed a bit small. They are adjustable with the elbow, and went on fairly easy, even if they looked short. I was able to use them to mount my bags though so I shouldn't complain.

saddleman universal support brackets
Good quality and fit for my Boulevard M50, but I did have to buy longer bolts since the ones supplied were too short. Easy installation. I also used rubber grommets where the brackets are fastened to protect the bike's chrome. Seems to have worked well.

Saddleman - Universal Saddle Bag Support Brackets
Looked at many bike sites and most of them wanted close to or over $100.00. These were less than half their prices and look just the same. I ordered mine for an 07 Harley Softail Custom and they fit great. Bolt right on. There is a lot of extra hardware that comes with these so I imagine they will fit almost any bike. Also comes with a turn signal relocation kit if you should need it. Even the wiring so for the money you can't go wrong with this bracket kit. I highly recommend it.

Great brackets. Made with high quality parts with no problem with any vibrations. The picture was slightly misleading about shape of brackets. Not as "square" as the picture makes you believe, but still a great purchase none the less. I would sincerely recommend this part to anyone if asked.

Serviceable
First, let me say Motorcycle Superstore was terrific. Price was outstanding, shipping time was second to none. Now, on the the brackets...They are a little short for bags on the Suzuki Boulevard M50. My bags are fairly short, and these supports barely extend low enough to be effective. That said, for universals, they do a good enough job. In terms of installation, I had one major beef: none of the bolts included were long enough. I had to make a run to the hardware store to make them work. The installation process itself was very straightforward.

Very good product for what I needed, and very easy to install. I just had to go to Ace Hardware for longer bolts, because the ones that came with it were too short. Looks good and works to expectation.
