tail bag
I just completed a 18 day 8000 mile Cross Country trip with this bag. Held up very well. I do like the quick connect straps but would like to see the plastic clasps made a little stronger. I broke one when I accidently stepped on it (so be it) the other cracked under normal use but there are D rings to use in case this happens just make sure you have a strap with you. I used a nylon webbed sleeping bag strap that worked very well. The tunnel part was a bit wide for my very narrow passenger seat (2001 HD Softtail Night Train) with some creative folding of a towel it worked ok. Just make sure the bottom of the bag doesn't interfere with your saddle bags.

Saddlemen TS3200DE tail bag
Overall I like the bag but the plastic quick connect clips did break on my 8000 mile cross country trip fortunately there are metal D rings that you can use with a different style strap not supplied. I over stuffed the bag and did notice the zippers wanting to derail but it never actually did. The tunnel portion was a little large for the very narrow back seat on my "01" softtail.

Not Very Water Resistant
We took a trip up to Northern Minnesota. Well, as you would guess, we got rained on. This bag didn't come with a rain cover so our clothes were very wet. We had to take a trip to the laundry mat to wash and dry our clothes. I was very disappointed that with the price of this bag, a rain proof cover didn't come with it!

Great Design and Value
If you want to turn your cruiser into a weekend warrior this bag is perfect. Roomy with thoughtful design to accommodate lots of gear, and tailored to fit over a rear seat or luggage rack, this bag provides great stability and flexibility. Installation is easy. The four quick-release straps allow you to quickly take the bag with you into a hotel for the night -- no packing and unpacking required. Each compartment can be locked and there are loops to secure the bag to a frame component with a retractable lock. Only drawback is this is NOT waterproof. I typically pack in plastic bags, which protect against the water, but a rain cover would have made a nice addition.

The BOMB
This bag is the ticket for motorcycle traveling....easy on, easy off, extra pockets, extendable side, extra bag. Are you sure a woman didn't design this? Kidding, I promise you'll think its the Bomb too!

Saddlemen - TS3200DE Deluxe Cruiser Tail Bag
Overall I like this bag. It would be better if it were water proof.

Good bag for the price
Took it for a weekend trip, had more room than we needed and we packed a lot! Seems really durable, once we got it on it stayed on well, was able to use it as a backrest on the trip.

Difficult
The directions that were included with the bag were not clear and did not match the specificities of the bag, specifically, the connection straps. I called and spoke with several people at several levels of sales of this product and none were able to give me salient advice as to how to mount it on my bike.

ts 3200de tail bag
I have a new fxdf fatbob and saddlebag brackets aren't being made for it yet so I got this handy rig...it's not even close to being waterproof (as I found out on my trip to Sturgis this year) so I had to put my gear into plastic bags inside the tailbag..I gave installation a 3 because the straps are goofy and I had to be creative to make them work on my bike... I had trouble with all of the zippers wanting to derail even when empty. I loaded this bag heavy and it did it's job even with the funky zippers. Overall, I like the features of this bag and I hope saddleman gives their zippers an overhaul.

Great Bag
I bought this bag for a week-long trip. It's surprisingly roomy, and easily held everything I needed. The side compartments are very handy, and the straps work very well at holding it in place (the contoured bottom is also a great feature). The only issue, which is minor, is that two of the straps aren't designed to fit the clip-on’s (two were). I don't understand this, but I also ordered a smaller Saddlemen bag to attach to the top, and it also came with two odd straps. It's an easy work around, but it still doesn't make sense. Overall though, a great bag.

Saddlemen - TS3200DE Deluxe Cruiser Tail Bag
The sides of this bag SAG down. This pulls the middle section.
The middle section is not strong enough to hold up sides from sagging.

Trunk Bag Review
I specifically got this bag because my 95 Shadow doesn't have a luggage rack. The instructions that came with the bag weren't very helpful but once I figured it out (and used extra bungee cords)I was good to go. We encountered 3 days of rain (only 1 day heavy rain) and I was disappointed to find that the bag leaked each day. I had a feeling it would leak thru the zippers so thankfully I shoved everything into a plastic bag within the bag. The roll bag came with a nice rain cover which eliminated any leaking in that particular bag, not sure why, but the bigger truck bag didn't come with the same cover. I had more than enough room in the trunk bag for a 7 day trip which allowed me to fill it up with goodies to bring back from the trip.

Great Tail Bag
The main reason I purchased the Saddlemen -TS3200DE Deluxe Cruiser Tail Bag is that it appeared to me that it did not require a sissy-bar or luggage rack to attach it to the bike. Which is 100% correct. I have a Triumph Rocket3 cruiser and the tail bag fit perfectly across the rear passenger/pillion seat. The straps that came with the bag were fine for attaching to the bike, I ran a couple of them under the pillion seat and the others I ran around the rear shocks. This secured the bag fine even at excessively high speeds (120+). My only issue with the bag was in its "water resistence". I ran through a couple of storms on a recent road trip and found that the bag had leaked around the main zipper - not a huge problem but something to be aware of.

Quality Product
I just returned from a 400 mile trip with this bag. I carried clothes and gear for the one week trip in the bag, and had more than enough room. With the included straps, I was able to fasten the bag to my Honda Shadow even though I don't have a luggage rack or back rest or saddlebags. However, the instructions on how to use the straps are very weak and should be improved. I would recommend the bag for extended trips. The detachable back pack came in handy for short day trips after I reached my destination.

Deluxe Tail Bag
Overall quality is very good. There is a lot of room to pack for a three to five day trip. Easy to install and very secure on the bike. I had one of the round biker bags it was ok but not nearly as much room as this. I would fully recommend this bag.

Saddlemen Tail Bag
The product was delivered in great time and came in very good condition. It had everything included that it said it would and the fit couldn't have been better if they had sized it for my back. The quality of Saddlemen products can't be beat and I will be back again for more purchases in the future.

great universal bag but still...a universal bag
I bought this bag because I wanted to avoid using saddlebags...simply for aesthetic reasons. I like the style, and it has a lot of nice features. There really is a lot of room in this thing, and places for just about any small thing you could think of needing in there. The material is really solid and the finish is top notch. I’m not sure how useful the backpack on the side will be, but I might come up with something. It was easy to secure the bag down and taking it on and off is a snap. Between this and the tank bag I have, I figure I’ll have enough room for the long trips I have planned. I have a Yamaha vstar, the back seat is pretty narrow, and the tunnel on the bag is definitely not, so the bag kind of collapses down on the sides and makes the center compartment a little difficult to use. By the way there is more than enough room for a 3/4 helmet or smaller in the center compartment.

Great piece of luggage
I haven't got to use it yet, we have a 1200 mile trip in July. I have a Yamaha vstar no back seat, it fits on the luggage rack perfectly. It straps in very easy.
