wayne kucsan allentown,  PA fit of muffler The megaphone muffler is a universal fit muffler. It is designed to fit an exhaust pipe between the sizes of 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 inches in diameter. My pipes are 1 1/2 diameter and I found that the sleeves supplied were not sufficient to enable the muffler to be tightened securely, therefore I had the muffler welded to the exhaust pipe and didn't use the clamps. They look good and fit tight, but there was a little extra work involved.
