Quiet baffles
The term "quiet" is misleading - the bike still roars when you open it up, but I can get out of my neighborhood a little quieter in the mornings....a little. Along with dropping a few decibels, they take some edge off the sharp-bark sound of the original baffles and give a deeper bass tone rumble, especially at idle. Not as mellow as a stock HD exhaust sound, but not as piercing as it was before. Definitely sounds like a Harley. Just what I was looking for.
I've read older reviews that griped about having to remove the heat shields to get to the set screws but Python (made by Vance & Hines) must have redesigned the pipes recently because my set screws were exposed and the install was as simple as could be. Pull the old baffles out, push the new ones in.

Python Quiet Baffle
Fit excellent, I thought they be abit quietier. However, everyone that hears them, think they sound great. Maybe I'm just alittle old.

Installed in VH Big Shots Staggered. Installers should wrap fiber material prior to installation to prevent "bunching" while inserting baffles into exhaust pipe (I used strong wire in 4 places across fiber material). Stripped one baffle screw while taking out stock baffles, so I had to remove entire exhaust for installation, but wasn't that big of a deal. If you're careful, can install in about 15 minutes. Performance: mostly cut the higher-frequency pipe "ping" out of the exhaust note, leaving the nice, deep rumble. Noticeably quieter at idle and cruise; still has quite a bark while accelerating. Just what I hoped for. Highly recommend!

The quiet baffles by Vance and Hines really work great on my Classic II mufflers. I have a much better sound. Deeper and more mellow. Thanks.

Vance and Hines Quite Baffles
Good product. I had to remove about 10" of wrap on each to install into my Bigshots. Did quite down since my pipes didn't have factory baffles installed. Well pleased.

Vance Hines Quiet Baffles
I bought the Quiet Baffles along with the Straightshot Slip-On Exhaust. Both were great. I have a 2007 Softail Heritage Classic with Stage 1 Kit and Screaming Eagle exhaust. It was too muffled and not what I want from my Harley. The Vance Hines slip-ons and quiet baffles sound outstanding. They have a nice grumbling sound you expect from a Harley. They installed easily and were exactly as described on the Motorcycle Superstore. The price was the best I found, also.

V&H Quiet Baffles
Put a pair of these on my Yamaha Roadstar. Dropped the noise a notch or two and deepened the sound. Buddy that rides with me liked them so much he's going to order a pair.

Vance and Hines Quiet Baffles
I bought the Vance and Hines HS Slip-ons for my 2005 883L. With the stock baffles, it was too loud for me. They a higher exhaust note and it shifted the power into the upper rpm range. I bought and installed the quiet baffles. They are more restrictive than the stock V&H, but more open than the stock HD. Result: deeper exhaust note, quieter overall, and it restored the power back to the lower-mid rpm range. After riding with them for a couple of weeks, I decided they could be a little louder, so I progressively removed 1" sections from the rear of the fiberglass batting until I reached the ideal for my ears. Nice to be able to tune them a bit. I would highly recommend them.

Vance & Hines-quite baffle
Very pleased so far and can't wait to test further the sound before was too loud but i liked it when I had on my 3/4 helmet. now it's a deeper stronger sound that is still up there but more tolerable with a half or no helmet. it could be my imagination and I’ve only put about 20 miles on them but I think the bike runs better.
