Frederick Silver Springs,  FL Cobra long baffles The stock baffles for the Cobra Long pipes for the VN900 didn't have enough back pressure, causing the heads to get to hot. I put these baffles in and the back pressure appears to be perfect. No backfiring or pinging and the bike runs like it had the stock exhaust. The tone is more mellow and the loudness is only slightly quieter. Really sounds good and mean.

Scott Lambright Port Angeles,  WA Well Done! Home run on all counts - especially the all important performance rating. The exhaust note got richer, with enough back pressure to eliminate the backfiring when I roll off the throttle. The pipes are loud enough to get noticed on the road, yet I don't disturb the neighbors in the morning when going to work. Best $50 spent on my Vulcan 900 Classic. And Motorcycle SuperStore was everything one should expect from an online store. Thanks.

Chris Kiley Bethany,  CT Cobra-Quiet Core Baffle I thought the quiet core would reduce the noise levels enough to stop my wife's groaning about her ears hurting. The quiet core baffles did not make a significant difference in the noise levels. It was better but not by much. They really should not call these "Quiet" core it should be more like "Quiet Roar". I wish Cobra would make a level up from here to a more restrictive baffle.

Paul Kuehn Springdale,  AR Quiet Core is worth the bucks I absolutely love the sound of the Cobra Speedster Shorts on my VTX1300C, but wanted to fine tune the sound down just a touch for those 2-3 hour trips. After researching and finding that Cobra made a replacement baffle, I decided to try them out. The installation was very easy and the sound is what I was expecting to get. It eliminated the bite sound and lowered the tone just enough. This was a worthwhile investment and further proves Cobra's commitment to make quality products that make riding more enjoyable.

allan west hills,  CA What a difference. While the stock baffles are deep throaty, they have a piercing high note to them when you turn on the throttle and after a short while it becomes uncomfortable and annoying, especially in the canyons. The quiet baffles are great. They keep most of the deep throaty sound but takes away the high pitched, echo sound and gives off more of a soothing rumble at idle and when you gas it.

Craig Johnstown,  CO Seems quieter It's not a night and day difference in overall volume, but it does seem quieter. The big difference is that it changed the pitch a bit from the higher cobra standard to a few notes deeper. The pitch changed helped a LOT. I ride with a FF helmet and the sound would get inside that helmet and rattle around making me crazy. Now it is not nearly as annoying.
