Dave S Sandy,  UT So nice to be able to talk while riding! My wife and I have always enjoyed riding together, but not being able to communicate was a definite disadvantage. The RiderLink ST-1 offered the benefit of being able to talk and hear each other comfortably while riding at highway speeds. It took us about 45 minutes to install the speakers and microphones in our helmets. We went on a twelve-hour ride, and the unit worked flawlessly. The two AA batteries lasted the whole trip. I didn't rate the unit very high in some categories. Let me explain. The speakers and microphone are held in place by hook and loop ("Velcro") fasteners. The adhesive did not stick well to the inside surfaces of the helmet. I eventually used another adhesive (super glue) for the microphones. Depending on your helmet, the speakers may work fine without the adhesive. They are about 2" in diameter and have "Velcro" on the back. The sound clarity and volume was good for conversation, but it wasn't really loud enough to hear the music on my mp3 player while driving at highway speeds. I'm not a big fan of riding while listening to loud music anyway. As a communicator, I think it works great and is a good value. I didn't try it with my phone or with another two-way radio, but I was impressed that the unit has those features and has every cord and accessory that might be needed. Ride safe! Have fun!

Kevin Princeton,  IL Motocomm - RiderLink ST-1 My wife and I used the Motocomm on a recent trip into Wisconsin this last week. The trip was the first time in years of riding together we could talk without turning our heads and yelling. Very nice, well worth the money! My only complaint is the adhesive used to attach the the boom mikes did not hold well. On the plus side, the battery life was amazing (over 6hrs and still going).

Robert Lyman,  SC Works Great! The Motocomm unit was less expensive and more convenient for us than any of the competitors. We had considered the Scala unit, but between the price, the big box hanging on the side of my helmet, having to use my cell phone battery, and the fact that people might actually call me while I was riding made this a no brainer. My wife and I ride together all the time. We usually plug in the MP3 player, settle the unit and player into the saddle bags and ride for hours. The communication is very clear, the mics work well and the headsets fit the helmets perfectly. Very satisfied. I could wish it was wireless, but if that is the only thing I can complain about, I think it did great.

Dale Tumwater,  WA Excellent Product My wife and I took a short trip to Mt. St. Helens yesterday and the MotoComm provided us with a great day of conversation. We both have full-face helmets and ride a sport touring bike which has a small windshield and doesn’t provide much wind protection. We used the middle setting on the freeway where speeds reached 80 mph and were able to hear each other very well. Around town, the lowest setting was all that was needed. The fit is great in the helmets (I did use a hook and loop with stronger adhesive on the microphone because what came with the system was not secure enough). The unit strapped on to the bike frame just below my left leg, and the wires were never a problem. Plugging and unplugging were easy, but I recommend using something like correction fluid to make some dots where the arrows are on the plugs to facilitate lining up them up – just makes it a little easier with the helmet on and reduces the chance of bending any connectors. I have yet to try out the other options that come with the kit (cell phone, FM radio, or 2-way radio), but the intercom is what we chiefly needed. We’re extremely happy with the Riderlink and will be recommending it to our friends.

Scot Climax,  GA Motocomm Riderlink ST1 The riderlink surprised me with its ease of use and clarity, both with the intercom and using an i-pod. Once the mike and earphones were installed it was simply plug in and enjoy. The only problem may be in the 5 pin plugs, not being durable, but I did not have that problem over the weekend of Thunder Beach.

Chris Duluth,  MN Motocomm ST-1 System review Great product so far. Works great. No other product comes close in price. Only complaint is the volume control on the unit. It only controls the volume of the built in FM radio, and not input items like, XM radio, MP3, or CD player. Would be nice to have just one master volume control for input items.

David Weaver Las Vegas,  NV Product Review Unbelievable quality for the price. Over 6 hours on the first set of batteries and its still crystal clear. Even on my cruiser, we only needed to turn the volume up to the Medium setting to hear each other like we were standing still. Sticky parts did come unglued due to what appears to be inferior glue type but some superglue or gorilla glue and it was right back on there.

dave montgomery nampa,  ID riderlink st-1 We purchased the riderlink based partially from reviews and partially on price. The install was as not difficult at all. The system worked okay on the open road. While the full face mic worked well, my wife wears a convertible helmet so we needed the open face mic and it doesn't seem to pick up her voice without raising it. We did like the ability to listen to the mp3 player together. as of yet I haven't tried the cell phone adapter maybe soon.

B Yamada San Jose,  CA Motocomm-riderlink st-1 Great unit, does everything as advertised. The battery last forever. I was very impressed with what it can do for the cost. The grip that I can complain about is the plug. After 8 days of plugging it off and on to my helmet, the speakers to my helmet are intermittent when you wiggle the plug. The little pins are easy to bend so be careful. If you very careful with the plugs you will be very happy with it.

TS Daub Panama City,  FL Suitable The Rider link works very well for communicating with the passenger, and fades the input from my XM radio very well, but the built in FM Radio need a lot to be desired. The radio does not perform a normal scan to the next channel, and there is no frequency display. I listen to five different radio stations in my area, I am able to listen to one of them, and it is scratchy. Needs a belt hook. why not waterproof? If you have an external music source available, and a tank bag, I recommend this gizmo.

Linda Morrison Lawrenceville,  GA RiderLink ST-1 When we opened the box, and I started putting the product together, I thought it was too confusing. After sorting everything out we realized it was really easy to use. We did have a problem with the connection from the communication box to the driver’s headset. One of the pins smashed. My husband was able to straighten out the pin, and then taped it, so we would keep the connection. Once this was sorted out......I have to say this is a wonderful product. We've been to the NC Mountains, and don't know what we'd do without it. I have not "plugged" in if we're going a very short distance, and my husband and I both feel like we're missing something when we're not able to communicate. My husband drives and I navigate. It's amazing we were ever able to go anywhere without this product!

Robert Statesville,  NC Motocomm - Riderlink ST-1 My wife and I rode 3000 miles in a week from NC to Woodstock Canada and used this intercom the whole time we were riding. The radio isn’t very good but the intercom worked fine. We really enjoyed being able to talk to each other during our trip. You could hear each other at any speed and at times that was 70 mph for hours. I have not used any of the other features like cell phone or Mp3 so I can't speak for that. I would recommend this product for the intercom alone.

Christine Arvada,  CO good system for the money I had purchased this system because of a review by a Goldwing owner. Installing the headset was easy for a full face helmet. For an open face helmet the speakers needed to be put back more to stop pinching of the ears. The passenger can hear a phone conversation but cannot talk. It doesn't connect to my Goldwing mounted intercom connectors. I am currently looking for an adaptor for this. You can listen to the radio, answer and make a phone call, and talk to your passenger with the system as is. Overall, it comes with all that you need for you and passenger.

Mike Webb Kearney,  NE Could use better instructions We've had the ST-1 for a couple weeks now and generally like it, but I was disappointed with the instructions, and how it fits into the helmet. The instructions need a complete overhaul. I need to see a picture or diagram of each part so I can visually match it to the part number. Then, I really need a step-by-step picture instruction set to guide me through what needs to be done. The wording alone isn't sufficient to handle the questions that come up as you go through the process. On the plus side, the sound quality for the radio and intercom are top-notch. I'd recommend this to anyone else, but go in with your eyes open.

Ron Eby Red Deer,  AB It Made our trip My wife and I went on our first long distance trip this summer down to the States and through Logans Pass, Montana. We always found we wanted to be able to communicate but with a full face helmet it was just to hard. I ordered the RiderLink just before we left and it was just the thing we were looking for and at a far less cost than most of the ones we looked at in Canada. It was great to be able to talk and enjoy the scenery we were going by. The clarity was perfect at any speed. We would recommend this unit to anyone. We have a magnetic tank bag and the main unit fit right in with the zipper slightly open for the cables. The batteries lasted for three ten hour days before they had to be changed.

Teresa Arvada,  MD RiderLink ST-1 review My boyfriend and I just completed an 1,800 mile road trip on his Cruiser and I was amazed at the ease in which we were able to communicate with the RiderLink intercom. Even at 75 mph on the interstate the clarity of our voices was outstanding. My only complaint is that the pins inside the connectors are very fragile and we did break a pin during a connection in the middle of our trip. However, the Motocom International customer service was great and they shipped us another connector next day

Steve R Kitchener,  TX MotoComm Riderlink ST-1 This unit does do all that it says is does. I hooked up everything that it boasts that it would hook up to and it outperformed all my expectations. While riding on city streets I answered a phone call through the RiderLink. The person on the other end could not tell I was on my Goldwing, in fact, I had to convince her. The only trouble I have had with the unit is the mini-din connector. It is a bit too light-duty for the application and I have broken a pin off already and can only here out o
