It is a great product when it works. So far I have had one unit and two speakers sent back under warranty and know the second unit has broken down. The fact that you can not get the units battery replaced is bad. Also the units will not be repaired out of warranty. Also the units should be completely waterproof if you can make a $20.00 watch waterproof down to 100' you should be able to make these waterproof.
Great idea bad build quality.

This set is great! After reading the instructions evrything was easy. we took about thirty minutes of setting them up and making sure which button did what and then put them to use. excellent product you can hear the other person as if they were standing next to you. I made a phone call while driving down the road at sixty and the person on the other end did not know I was on my bike until I told them, it's that clear. Their a little expensive but worth the money.

After 1 year and 20K miles I find the G4 good for safety but the units randomly stop working, voice activation requires a lot of yelling, microphone must be ON lips to work, bluetooth randomly drops, range limited to line of sight, poor SW interface for programming.

The good...easy to install. The bad...mic is annoying if brushing against your lips but has to be in front of your mouth for good transmission. Picks up a lot of wind noise (we both wear full face helmets). Directions don't correspond to how they work. On last ride they quit working. We thought the batteries dead but have been trying to get a full discharge for 4 days and the blue lights are still blinking. When they are working properly...WE LOVE'EM!!!

These units were a snap to install and initial set-up was simple, just turn them on and they paired up. Work good between riders. Some echo experienced between rider and driver on the same bike. Enjoying our ScalaRiders!

No real problem fitting the system to my Nolan helmet, but the wife had issues. She could not hear me. My ride is a Honda ST1300 so engine/wind noise are not a factor. However, the wife rides a Yamaha VStar 1100 Classic so the exhaust gave her trouble hearing. I fixed the problem by adding extra velcro to get the speakers close enough to her ears to hear clearly. Connectivity is excellent. Like others have said, on the phone there is no background noise. Overall, an excellent product.
Don't buy this company's product.

I have been using this Cardo Scala G4 set for 2&1/2years. I had replaced speakers and mic twice in 2years. The worst part is their warranty. They don't fix any product after 2years, the warranty period. No matter I pay for repair or not, THEY DON'T FIX after warranty. "we don't fix any of our product after warranty. That is the company policy." That means my 400dollars G4 units are useless now.
Please, don't buy this company's product unless you have enough money to buy every 2 years.

These communicators work well beyond expectations. My wife and I bought them for a 2400 mile trip on our Triumph Rocket III and we grew to appreciate them more with every mile driven. The sound quality was good up to 70 mph, but after that it was best left to her gesturing and screaming. Bluetooth, FM radio, phone calls, voice to text, rider to passenger communication, it couldn't be better!

I am so glad we have these. What a life saver they can be!! Got us through the nightmare called Denver I-25 together, upright and intact one day. Having voice with 2 sets of eyes as we found our way through was a relief.....and then we had to stumble our way through Salt Lake City!!! I was never so glad to have these communicators as I was on that road trip. Money well spent!
