Super
We just loved this product. It took awhile to figure it out but once we did, it was a breeze. You do have to shout to start it but we talked through our whole ride without shouting at each other. We did have some wind noise but that was with our short helmets. We have neck pads that get zipped on and once they were in place, it was awesome. We recommend it highly! Thanks.

Team Set
Easy on and off and looks great on my DRZ. Great day trip bag. I bought this item for father's day, in hopes that my husband would like it. I did research, and decided on this team set. So far, it has been great. We are still learning how to use it, but the reception has been great. I would recommend it, but keep in mind we have minimal time using it.

I have been very disappointed in the sound quality, very tinny and I am not able to the volume so that it is loud enough to hear very well. I have had no problem with installation or operation.

Headset
I have only used the unit with a radio attached. We have not tried between rider and passenger. Everything has worked fine so far. My only complaint would be the battery doesn't hold a charge. Even if you are not using it.

This was my first motorcycle intercom set and I really like the results. Installation was a breeze and sound quality on the road is great.

Very Satisfied
Set was very easy to install on my closed face helmet and my fiancée’s open face helmet. Could not figure out why it didn't work until looking at their website and found that you have to have background noise (fan on high up close works) before the intercom kicks in. Had trouble getting my phone to work but after setting it up with someone else’s phone then trying mine again it worked. Have no idea why but now it's OK. Instructions leave much to be desired. Need to be re-written by professional writers not engineers. Have tried it at slow and high speed and it works great. Girl friend on the back seat thinks it's wonderful. If she is happy I'm happy.

Wonderful communication system
The Scala Rider is fantastic. This is the third unit we have tried, and it has the least residual noise by far. Of course, there is a small amount of noise when it is windy, but even so you can still hear your passenger as it you work speaking face to face. The speakers that velcro inside the helmet tuck well out of the way and create a wonderful surround sound. Even my soft-spoken girlfriend can be heard very easily. The blue tooth feature (which was a very low priority) works wonderfully; in fact, it is better than my standard blue tooth. Callers could not believe when I told them I was speaking from the Scala Rider. We spent the last weekend riding 400 miles in the rain with no problems. If I could rate this a 10 across the board, I would. A must have to two-up riders, or for those who are addicted to their cell phones.

We have been very disappointed with this product. It takes yelling at the headset to get it to turn on. Support has been questionable - I sent it in for warranty repair, it worked a little better, but my wife has difficulty getting her intercom to activate. She taps me then I give a loud noise to get it started.

Best bang for the buck
I got these from my girl and I have absolutely been blown away. For the price, the quality of sound is top notch. 90mph and still able to communicate with her (full face helmets, on a standard bike); phone call quality is also excellent. Couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Next,... the music adapter.

AWESOME!!!!!
This is a great system; finally being able to call someone and not have to pull over to the side of the road and dig for my cell is awesome. the calls are always clear for me and my friends never believe that I’m riding my motorcycle.

Cardo System Scala Rider Teamset (bluetooth)
This set was exactly what I was looking for. It allows me to talk with my passenger (could be a bit more volume as wind noise and the bike at 80 mph are equally as loud). During normal riding though, it works great. It also allows me to answer my cell phone calls without touching anything (voice activation). It also has voice activation features to make calls without touching anything (cell phone must have voice command feature). It has made a solitary riding experience an experience for a couple to share. We love it.

Love It!!!!
This set is awesome. My wife and I have used the set a few times and she loves the idea of not having to yell. The Bluetooth option works really well. I ride a loud VTX 1300 with a full face helmet and I can be going 60+ miles an hour with the visor up and the person on the other end hears no noise except me when I talk. AWESOME!!!!!

Bad Choice
The driver unit works o.k. with my mobile phone, but communication between driver and passenger is really poor (noisy, interrupted, etc). As far as general operation, I have followed instructions many times and the system does not appear to respond accordingly. I can bet that you will end up figuring the thing out by yourself after many trials and errors... it is frustrating. If you set the system for voice activation of the intercom, you will notice that it is constantly interrupted and quite difficult to reestablish communication. You have to almost yell at the mic. If you decide to set it “always on” you will find out that the noise becomes annoying after a short while.

Cada Syste Team Set
The set is nice looking, however not very user friendly. Buttons hard to get to access. I have a flip up full face helmet, it is hard to fit the set on the helmet. Batteries do not seem to hold up for five hour charge. I am hoping the more I use the system I can get adjusted to it. When the system works it does well. Activation of the intercoms are hard, practically have to yell even with the mouth piece close to the mouth. I am content to deal with these minor problems, it is better than no communication at all.

Scala Rider Teamset
I bought the Scala Rider Teamset for my husband. He is hard of hearing and was very skeptical about how well they would work. We put them in our Nolan flip-up helmets and they work beautifully! My husband can hear very well even when I am speaking at a normal voice level (even at highway speeds). Every now and then they will get staticy, but they soon clear. So far, we are extremely happy with the Teamset.

Scala Rider Teamset on a 1700 mile trip
Overall: The SRT was very useful to us on our 1700 mile trip. We enjoyed being able to talk while riding, point out sights to one another and co-navigate. For the price, there isn't anything else on the market that comes close.

Great Product, Great Value!
What a joy it is to be able to talk to your rider as you cruise along the highway. And it is totally wireless communication with relatively good sound quality and clarity. The noise cancelling capability is extremely good, even on my Honda Sabre with straight pipes roaring. Installation was a snap. I installed it on 2 different brands of flip-up helmets in about 10 minutes total. The rechargeable battery has a long-life between charges which easily accommodates a long cruise or many shorter ones. The Bluetooth phone capabilities are also quite good, depending on your phone. If your phone has voice activation, you will have complete service as you cruise along.

No Complaints
We’ve used the system for the last month with little complaint other then the occasional times when the system would not go to standby and was continually transmitting. It transmits crystal clear voice even when connected to a phone and the people on the other side say they would never guess that you were on a bike, even with a 3/4 helmet.

Didn't like the unit...the answer control for the Bluetooth cell phone didn't work...every time the phone would ring and I quick touch the control button to answer it... it failed most of the time....didn't like it.

Now, we can talk to each other without me having to scream. Noise level (static) is really quite high but acceptable. We can now carry on a conversation that usually includes where I am supposed to turn next in a very reliable and functional fashion. BTW, the Bluetooth connection between the set was and continues to work quite well and the battery life seems to be quite good and the charging rate is quite good. If you don’t mind the mediocre mount, fair amount of static, and having to have the sets always on via the intercom mode, the Teamset is just fine.

I would buy again.
I decided to order this through Motorcycle Superstore because of their free shipping, excellent return policy (just in case I did not like them) and customer service. When I first tried them in the house I was disappointed. Decided to try them on the motorcycle. I have not regretted it. They work great as intercoms and linked to a cell phone. Took a three day trip. Turned them on at 7:30 AM, turned them of at 9:00 PM. Battery held up great. Had three way conversations with both of our kids for 30 minutes at a time at 70 mph. They said they would have never known we were on the motorcycle going down the highway. I would recommend them to anyone. Plan on buying another set at some point as a gift.

Inexpensive team COM system
New to team riding, and not seeing many options for a rider/pillion COM system, we decided to give this a try.We found our Nolan 102 helmets to be the wrong shape for our heads and did not know any better (check their X- 1002 for comparison), but we are stuck with them nonetheless. This made it much more difficult getting the mic to fit inside the helmets and were not able to use the mic covers. The shape of the helmets, plus the vinyl type edging, made it difficult to fit the COM system as it was designed. A few mods, some calls to Scalar tech support (excellent folks), they sent us two longer mics. Due to snow and winter conditions, we've only had a few hours to use the Scalar COM system and still working out the bugs. We had a good three hours of continuous communication so far. There is some constant static, hiss and other noise, but you get used to it. We have never used any other system, so have nothing to compare it to. I love the idea we are not wired to each other or the bike. You can use a cell phone with this as well, but have not tried it. It is most difficult trying to use any of the buttons on the device with a gloved hand. Other than that, this sure beats not being able to talk to your passenger. Tech support has been excellent (they DHL any part you need ASAP), we are keeping the units and will work on the issues as they come up. Not having owned it very long and the poor fit using our NOLAN 102 helmets lowered the rating some, no reflection on the company or their product. Nolan wanted $700+ for their Nolan team setup (had no idea it would be that much when we bought the helmets), and AutoCom was more than $400. For less than $200, this was a pretty decent deal. You may want to order a DC power cord!
