Most rambling riders already have a thick skull to a certain degree, but Johnny Law insists it's not thick enough. Classically free, the SKID LID original motorcycle helmet adds DOT approved thickness to protect your head from the ground and your wallet from the system. The Skid Lid helmet is conforming in its fit but this dome shaped motorcycle helmet encourages individuality with its selection of tight graphics.

Joe blow Sacramento,  CA Skid Lid For 35 bucks, it's hard to complain much but... I bought this for my scooter. I only use the put-put around the hood, and the full face Arai was a bit much. The loops on the straps are not even, so the straps one side ride on my ear. The helmet is way top heavy and feels like a brick on my head. It serves the purpose, but in hind sight, I probably should've ponied up the extra 45 bucks for the Bell.

John Tallahassee,  FL Great Deal I bought this helmet as a starter helmet for the price. The fit is great and it has lots of padding to make it very comfortable. Sure, when I look in the mirror wearing it I look like a giant mushroom, but who cares for the price?! This helmet has served me very well and I'm keeping it as a nice passenger helmet while I look for something a little more appealing in the looks department. I can only hope the next helmet I purchase works just as well.

Adam Whiting,  IN Skid Lid I realize that I made a mistake buying the skid-lid. The wind noise when riding at speed is terrific (I don't mean that in a good way). If you're just riding around town it might be ok. It's quite bulky.

JGreen Louisville,  KY Good half helmet I purchased this helmet as a summer helmet and couldn't be happier. It fits really well and while any DOT approved helmet is going to give you a mushroom look, this helmet does not look bad. The only thing that I would warn against is the flat black color really shows fingerprints, wet spots, stains, etc. I would go with the gloss, it is easier to keep clean. This is a nice half helmet for the price.
