Almost
Jacket is sturdy, warm and wind resistant but the collar ruins the jacket. It is of a different, lighter weight fabric that makes the otherwise nicely made product look like a cheesy costume. The collar snaps seemed to be slightly mis-located as they prevented the collar from standing correctly. When closing up the collar area, the collar stretched out awkwardly and gave the impression the product was carelessly made. I returned the jacket but would have been otherwise satisfied with the jacket if not for the collar. My personal preference would be to not have the emblem on upper arm near shoulder. The pliable armor was not uncomfortable or even noticeable. I didn't wear jacket in the rain but I believe it to be water repellent and highly durable. Come on guys! Make a collar like the jacket!!!

Great jacket!
I love this jacket. With the liner in I'm perfectly toasty riding in 40 degrees and I take it out once it hits about 50 and I'm still fine. Vents work great taking in air on the upper arms and letting it out your back. Sleeves are a bit long on me because I had to get it to fit my chest, but my gloves cover them up and keep them out of the way. It has plenty of pockets for everything you need. I gave it a 4 on finish only because it's got a few loose threads that look like they could be trouble later if I don't take care of them now.

Superb jacket
I used this jacket for a trip I made across the Andes and into the Peruvian jungle. The different modes of wearing the jacket is definitely a plus. Use the classic style to get some fresh breezes in and zip up to the top to insulate. I crossed 4 degree weather (Celsius) without any cold penetrating anywhere. The venting zippers allowed a great flow to run through my torso when riding in the jungle. I didn't wear it the entire time because it was way too hot out but wearing the jacket wasn't unbearable by any means. I gave it a 4 on Fit because it feels a bit too ample in the chest. The sleeves and length are just right, though. The sizing chart was very accurate.

GREAT JACKET
I bought the men's jacket instead of the women's because I need a larger size and definitely longer arms. I really like this jacket. The men's and women's jacket are the same. I also had enough room to layer a thin fleece pullover (Marmot Reactor) and I stayed very warm it rained a little bit and I stayed dry. I went from 90 degrees weather to under 40 degrees and was able to stay comfortable in this jacket.

I'll say this about these jackets: I've purchased five of them. After I got mine, I got one for every biker I know. They're great.

Too hot for Texas summer
I got this jacket because I thought it would be cooler than leather and since it is waterproof it could serve the dual purpose and I wouldn't need a separate rain coat. It seems durable and well made but it isn’t cool at all. I can't really tell if it is reflective as indicated in the description. The jacket was shipped promptly, arrived quickly and packed well.

Pretty good - but I sent it back
Jacket was as advertised but...it is tough to buy a jacket online. Had I tried it on, I would not have bought it. Nothing technically wrong with it, but it just didn't feel right. Low cost coat, but the workmanship shows that. If you have the means...upgrade to something nicer. But if you are looking for a basic coat...cool! I am a little more picky when it comes to personal clothing like this.

Great buy for the price, men’s size run large, excellent wind cutting and warmth, vents work very well. Needs better sleeve cuff adjustment. Would buy again.

Great Jacket
I bought this jacket instead of a leather jacket to save weight ,But I never thought the jacket would be better than a leather jacket. It was lighter, the arms are molded in the shape to ride the sleeves have cooling vents and looks cool.

Good jacket so far...
I did a lot of research on different jackets before picking this one. So far I am happy with it. The previous reviews were a great help with the sizing. I'm 5'8" 175, and the small is a perfect fit. Normally I would have gone with a med. but all the reviews were right that the sizes run large. I haven't worn it during any extreme heat, but I wore it one morning (couldn't have been more than 60) and it was great (with a sweatshirt underneath) - just as good as my leather. Good quality.

Drifter Jacket
I bought this jacket to wear for times that I do not want to wear my heavy leather jacket and times when it might rain.
I like the fit so far and quality of the jacket so far. Be prepared for the jacket to be on the warm side. Even with the liner removed. The only complaint that I have is that I wish the jacket outer material was not so "shinny" looking. That is just personal tast though. Otherwise it is a great jacket that I would recommend anyone to purchase. You can't beat the price $99.99 from Motorcycle Superstore for a quality jacket!

Agreed on sizing
I went with the suggestion from other reviews to order a size smaller. I'm 5'10", 165 lbs., and the XS is a perfect fit with or without the liner. When vented it is much cooler than leather; when not vented it is decently warm. I haven't used the liner yet, but I rode today at 70 mph in 58 degrees with the vents zipped and was comfortable.
My only complaint is the enormous embroidered logo on the right upper arm. You can't really see it in the photo, but it's about a 4" diameter, light gray skull logo. You can't remove it easily since it's embroidered, and the jacket would look much better without it.
Even so, I would buy it again.

Looks like the jackets of the 50's with an all weather finish and when you remove the back pad you can use the pocket for a hydration bladder.

Nice Jacket
Nice jacket and looks good. based on other reviews and fitting guidelines i ordered a medium. i am 5'8" and weigh 190lbs. i am not particularly a big guy but i normally go with large. without the liner the jacket fits like a glove and looks very nice. with the liner in, it is too small. since i live in Okinawa and it really never gets below 50 degrees farenheight, don't thnk the liner will be needed anyway. if i lived in a colder climate, i would definitely tried to exchange for a large. it's summer here so i haven't really worn it other than checking it out in a mirror.

Great jacket - just what I needed!
Needed something cooler to wear in the summer. My leather jacket is just too hot to wear here in Long Beach. The Fieldsheer is well made and fits well. A little hot when you're sitting but great once you're in the wind! Zip out liner will most likely stay removed even in the winter. Padded armor is also removable and not too bulky. Great jacket overall and it's inexpensive!

Not a bad synthetic m/c jacket
As other reviewers have stated, this jacket does run large, so think about ordering a size smaller than usual.
Jacket is roomy and has plenty of storage capacity and is very flexible. There’s room to wear layers underneath it comfortably, even when it fits you to a 't'. Arms are a little on the short side when the rest of the jacket fits you well.
be forewarned that there is a large embroidered logo on the right arm- otherwise this is a pretty understated and subdued jacket visually, which is what I was looking for.
Neck protection is minimal, due to the way the jacket zips up- like a traditional leather m/c jacket. The jacket is very adjustable in terms of dialing it in to fit you and your circumstances.
The padding is substantial, but doesn't make the jacket too bulky or blocky.

Love It!
This is the first bike jacket I have bought, and I couldn't be happier. I live in Alaska and ride in all sorts of weather. It keeps me dry and warm. When it starts to get in the 40's I have to put something around my neck, but that is about it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Fieldsheer Drifter Jacket
Good fit and not too heavy. Never been much on leather as I feel it is a lot of hype. I have always liked the old style motorcycle jacket and when I saw this I was interested and then when the price went on sale I bought. The vents are a nice touch and padding is not bulky. Removable liner is also a nice touch. Do not know yet how it will do in hot weather but feel it will be good. Material feels like it can take a licking...hope I won't find out.

Fieldsheer - Drifter Jacket
Hi! I'm 6'3", weigh 225lbs. I bought the X-Large and it fits perfectly. The look of the jacket is awesome. I'm from Southern California where the weather is usually nice. Mornings right now are still chilly 40-55 degrees. May - June. The jacket is very comfortable and warm. I highly recommend this for its look and cost savings over the leather which can get hot.

best of both worlds
Looked at a lot of different jackets before I settled on the Drifter. Glad I chose this one. Fit and finish are excellent - real quality stitching and materials. Fits a little on the big side, but not bad at all. Armour is pliable enough not to be a nuisance. So far I have worn this in 40deg weather (liner in) to 70deg weather (liner out) and was comfortable at all times. Great delivery and service from Motorcycle Superstore. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a well-made, comfortable and inexpensive cruiser jacket.

Excellent jacket-superb service
Though I haven't had an opportunity to field test the jacket yet it fits well, thanks to all who commented on sizing. I'm 5'8" 160lb the small is perfect. One of those items that seems to good to be true. Material and finish appear first rate. The removable liner is a must when riding up here. I'm just guessing at the durability-sure looks and feels robust.
Ordered this jacket on Sunday, arrived in Canada vis UPS the following Wednesday! I really appreciated the fact that all shipping, duties and taxes were included in my invoice. Nothing worse that having to pay more when it arrives at the door.

Good Jacket
Wasn't really sure what the jacket would look like on me personally (6ft/198lbs). But I must admit, either I make the jacket look good or it makes me look good. Really pleased with it so far. My only complaint is that upon trying it on for the first time(right outta the box), a snap popped off. Threw some super glue on it and its held perfectly. Wasn't a big deal. I would highly recommend this jacket.

Best Jacket
Awesome jacket. I wanted to keep the traditional curser look without the leather. Very comfortable and very warm. At 35f outside I stayed warm for an hour ride. I do recommend a scarf to keep out the draft as this style jacket does not fit tightly around the neck. I highly recommend this jacket. Good job I love it.

Great Buy!
I purchased this jacket because of other reviews and the video of the jacket. All I can say is that this jacket rocks. Great features that rival top end name brands - at a fraction of the cost. So far I have no concerns or regrets about finish or durability. Seems like solid quality. I used the jacket for a couple of weeks before I wrote the review to be fair -
The size is good - a little on the smaller side but nothing crazy. I would buy this jacket again.

Good buy, Good fit.
I bought this jacket to add some style to my motorcycle gears. It's a very good quality jacket. Very warm with the lining and very versatile without it. When it becomes warmer, you can take off the lining and open the many zippers and get a cool ride while still enjoying the padding protection.
Overall, happy with it, recommended.

Fieldsheer - Drifter Jacket, great jacket!!
I read the other reviews for this jacket and decided to go with the Fieldsheer Drifter Jacket as opposed to some of the more expensive jackets. Just as the video description implies, this jacket has some great features. I was hesitant to order a medium because most long-sleeved shirts I own have a tendency to be slightly too short, but the sizing for this jacket was perfect.

This jacket is both good looking and functional. I like that is will attach to Fieldsheer pants by zipper. The only thing I would improve is the Velcro on the cuffs around the wrists...simply needs more adjustment.

Fieldsheer Jacket
This Field sheer Jacket is very fitted and well comfortably wearing it due to its versatility of either getting it cool during warm weather. When on the cold side weather, you can keep warm with the added padding inserts. Best of all, you could spray a repellant to keep this Jacket weather proof more. The Zippers are not really that durable but needs a bit upgraded. Other than that, it is a great jacket.

Fieldsheer - Drifter Jacket
Very happy with this jacket, I took the advice of previous reviews about Fieldsheer jacket sizes being to the large side, and it fits perfectly. Looks a little loose on warmer days when the liner is removed, but I put on a heavy flannel shirt and tried the jacket with liner and it fits great. Very comfortable on warm days, the vents work great and great on cool mornings. Plenty of pockets inside and out, and I like the way they duplicated the pockets so when you remove the liner, you still have the same inside pockets. A well made jacket with plenty of attention to detail.

Nice jacket
I bought this jacket after reading all the reviews. I agree with the positive reviews. I had the smaller size, thus the snap-on button was on the inside of the zipper line, not outside like the demo picture shows. Since I got gloves that were under the sleeves, so I don't feel that the sleeve openings were too large like others have complained. Overall, nice jacket for its price.

Good Purchase

Drifter Jacket
I was looking for a textile jacket, as I have a leather one that I consider to be too hot and heavy, so I tried this jacket. No regrets! Fits very well, good ventilation, waterproof, lots of pockets, good insulation on colder days with the liner in, good looking, seems to be well done and the price is just right. I just would like to see armor instead of padding, and also a velcro stripe to be able to close the collar when you zip the jacket all the way up during the colder days or when riding at higher speeds. Other than that: Recommended.

Just Great!
This jacket is just a little bit short of being perfect. I've had trouble finding a jacket to fit me but this one does just great. The sleeves are a little long for me but that is not a problem. The material it's made from, the lining, the armor, are all top quality. I've used it in the rain and on summer nights and am looking forward to wearing it this fall and winter. It looks good and I, personally, think the jacket is just great.

It’s a great jacket for the money. I had to get one size bigger than the chart due to my excess mid section. BEST JACKET FOR THE BUCKS!
This is an awesome jacket. It looks great, it's rugged, it's very user friendly. On the bad side: The collar does not close when you zip up the jacket all the way. (For colder weather) The sleeves also don't close down tight to the wrist to prevent cold air from blowing up your arm. If I had to do it again I would still buy the jacket.

An outstanding jacket. The zip out liner is perfect for chilly mornings, and the venting in the sleeves and back allow enough air flow for warm afternoons. The jacket runs a bit large - I bought an XL, but probably would have had a better fit with a large. Can't beat it for the price.

Fieldsheer-Drifter Jacket
Jacket size runs a little larger than normal and I was a little disappointed that you can't close collar to block neck opening. Cuffs are a little large and can't be adjusted to stop wind from blowing up sleeve, but I'll add some Velcro for further adjustment. I really like the looks of jacket and being able to get away from weight of leather. Jacket is ideal for early morning travel and still cool enough for mid day riding. Overall I'm very pleased with purchase and might buy matching jacket for wife

My first Jacket
I picked this one out mainly for it's looks and the fact that it wasn't made of leather. Order a size small, these definitely run large. I'm a smaller guy (5'7” 150lbs) and I ended up having to swap a small for an x-small, even with a 39” chest. But once that was all out of the way I love it. I live in fl so I haven't used the liner yet, but you can stay cool in this jacket, even in 90+ weather, just don't sit still in it too long. It is waterproof like it says, and works really well in the rain, and it's very comfortable. I'm very happy with the purchase.

For the money, I don't think you'll beat this jacket. I didn't get it one size smaller and I'm glad. It fits me perfectly. As others have said, it could use more ventilation in the front, but all in all, it's pretty good.

What a great DEAL!
This is a great jacket for the money. It's durable enough to last for years and it looks great on me. I got the XXL and my usual size is XL. After measuring my chest and arm length on their size chart it turned out to be a perfect fit. I can stretch my arms out and the cuffs only go back to my wrist bone instead of my forearm. I love the pockets and the rear vents (Two in the front would be even better) really keeps me cooler than my leather jacket. I'm telling everyone about this deal!

Great value for the price
I decided to buy this jacket because the leather one I had before was extremely heavy. I like this jacket a lot because it's not only light, it also offers good insulation. The lining inside is removable for the hotter days. As mentioned here before, the Velcro straps at the wrists could be bigger but they do just fine - they are there to cover the zipper puller. Overall quality is very nice and I think it's a great value for the price.

I will add even more positive feedback to the long list that already exists here. I bought this strictly on the basis of all the great reviews posted here, and the featured pictures. This is a great looking, QUALITY jacket that feels very durable and extremely comfortable. I went with advice of other reviewers and bought one size down (I am usually an XL, I bought a large). It fit perfectly. I live in So. Cal, so I won't be using the inner lining much. It was very easy to unzip and take out. Plenty of pockets and the vents really do work well...zip 'em open, or leave them closed when it's cold. I imagine that inner lining would keep you warm almost anywhere. If you are looking for a very nice, durable alternative to leather, and for about a fifth of the cost, buy this jacket

Nice looking jacket, fit is superb! I like the zip out liner and the removable foam pads. I get a lot of looks from the ladies. I can ride in cool weather and stay plenty warm. No problem with zippers; pockets in the right places. It could use a little more Velcro on the cuffs to cinch them in. For less than half the price of a leather jacket you can't go wrong! I like it so much I'd buy another one in a heart beat!

I own at least a dozen M.C. Jackets, from very high end on down. This jacket is quickly becoming a favorite. It is lighter than my leather jackets but with its body armor and other features. I feel safe and warm in this jacket. I especially like the way by simply adding a scarf and zipping the jacket up around the neck it does not chafe and is warm and comfortable. Most bang for the buck so far on any jacket I've purchased. If it works as advertised in the rain its gonna be hard to beat.

Fieldsheer Drifter Jacket
I have worn heavy traditional biker jackets for years and was looking for something lighter weight. The Drifter Jacket fits the bill perfectly. Tradition biker look without the weight of leather. I ride a lot with jacket and shorty fingered gloves so need good closure around wrists. The only serious drawback is what an earlier reviewer wrote about the velcro cuff closure being insufficient to close the cuff around the wrists. For big boys it may work ok. For me I have a wife with sowing machine :) Otherwise the jacket is great.

Comfortable, Sizes run large
Very nice jacket. I rode today, temp was 48-50 degrees and the jacket kept me nice and warm. Very comfortable jacket. I had to buy two velcro strips to add to the sleeves to keep the air flow out. The velcro that is on the jacket is so short and can not be tightened enough, but the jacket is worth it. I don't regret buying this jacket at all. Sizing chart is not very accurate. I have a 47 inch chest and the chart says I should wear a XXL. I listened to the other reviews and saw that people are saying the jackets run large and they were correct. I didn't get the XXL like the sizing chart says. I got the XL and the jacket fit great. Very nice jacket, worth the money.

Good jacket.
The only problem I found with the jacket is that there should be a way to tighten the sleeves a little better. More velcro or something. But with my gauntlet gloves, it's fine.

Nice but fit could be better
About the only thing I don't like about this jacket is that the sleeve-cuffs do not secure enough to keep air out while riding. The cuff design itself is sufficient, with the zipper cuffs and velcro closure combo, but there is not enough velcro sew into the cuff itself to wrap the velcro tight enough around the wrist area to keep wind from crawling right up the sleeve while riding. All Field Sheer would need to do is simply increase the amount of velcro sewn into the outside of the cuff to allow for pulling of the flap further around the wrist for a proper seal. On the other hand, if you're wearing good enough gloves, possibly gauntlet-style gloves, this would not ebe an issue. The Jacket fits a little larger than expected yet not enough to be a problem for me. Other than that, it keeps me warm, dry and wind. I'll keep it.

Nice jacket. It is light weight with light armor that can be upgraded to CE hard armor. The problem is that it runs about 1 size too large. I usually wear an XL but will have to return for a large.
