Excellent Product; Excellent Value
After many years of riding, this is my first leather jacket. I have always wanted a leather jacket but the $300 + price tags always kept me away so when I found this jacket for $199.99 I had to jump on it. I was drawn to this jacket because of its price and simplicity (I'm not a fan of all of the logos and decals). I have owned this jacket for only a few weeks but so far I have no complaints. I recently gave it a cold weather test ride (about mid 40's) and the jacket did a nice job of keeping the cold air out. This jacket seems sturdy enough to last for many years to come.

WOW incredible value!
This jacket's ventilation is INCREDIBLE. It seems to be very versatile temperature wise, because of the numerous vents. If it starts to get cold, no problem, zip all the vents shut, and zip in the cold weather liner. I find absolutely no problems with the fitment, or comfort of this jacket. The CE armor STAYS PUT where they should, and do not move around. It is very heavy duty, and seems like it will last a very long time. You may want to order one size larger than you think you will need. Unlike everyone else, I did NOT find the Velcro collar to be bothersome, I have no idea what everyone else is complaining about (my neck IS made out of leather however...maybe others have delicate skin) For the money this jacket offers superior leather protection. Because of the stretch textile panels (on bicep region) and the accordion leather areas, the flexibility and mobility is top notch. I feel like I can move around in this jacket with any hindrance whatsoever. After 1000 miles of abuse, I have two small negative things to say: 1.) I found one or two small pieces of loose thread that required trimming. 2.) The rubber Fieldsheer logos on each shoulder have turned white from rubbing on stuff (doorways, walls, chairs, etc.). Overall, an incredible deal.

Fieldsheer Super Sport IV Leather Jacket
This is definitely a jacket with some heft! If I ever went down with this jacket on I feel I would be very protected. Good up to about 85 degrees, over 85 you probably want a mesh jacket anyway. Comfortable down to approx 40 deg with the liner in and just a long sleeve t-shirt underneath.

I really like this jacket. Nice features, good fit, very nice quality. I hope I only need it for protection from sun, wind and bugs, but it's what you want if you ever experience "an involuntary dismount" at speed.

Crap jacket but cheap
Wow, what a difference between the Super Sport II and the Super Sport IV. The II, a jacket which I have and love, is thick, robust and heavy. The leather is stout, the textile is heavy duty it is double stiched. The IV, in contrast, is thin, light and somewhat crappy feeling. Even the stretchy textile stuff is far thinner/lighter than the older jacket and the stitching does not seem anywhere near the older jacket. The armor seems like it might be better. Seems OK for summer use instead of a mesh jacket but I don't see owning this jacket for years and years and in fact wish very much that I could find a new Super Sport II in size 48. Oh, yeah, almost forgot, the velcro at the neck really sucks, abrading the skin and either being too tight or not closed. I am tempted to cut off the whole thing with scissors.

Fieldsheer - Super Sport IV Leather Jacket
I had to return the jacket because it was too large. I also wanted matching pants, and the pants were too tight. Moving to the next size pants would have been too large. The quality of the Fieldsheer products were excellent.

Cool look - tight fit.
Love the look of this jacket. Very tough, super heavy, nice armor, and makes me look great. Got in fall so have been riding the past month in 36-50 degree (Fahrenheit) weather. With the lining in place and wearing a light sweater, felt very comfortable. Cold air barely penetrated fabric areas on inside of elbow joints. Order larger than you think you need. At first got a 42 which is what I measured and is the size of my marching band uniform and ended up wearing a 44. Collar cuts into my neck just a little, but otherwise perfect. Wish it had reflectors of some sort on it.

An Excellent product
This is the second Fieldsheer jacket I have purchased, and this one is even better than the first one I bought ten years ago! It is good to see that Fieldsheer still makes a quality product, and have only improved on their line up. I find that this jacket has more flexibility than my last one, yet sacrifices nothing in the way of protection in order to achieve that flexibility. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a comfortable jacket with all the right armor pieces built in. It looks pretty sharp too (I've received several flattering comments from my female friends while wearing the jacket)!

There is nothing like having a black leather motorcycle jacket. The smell and feel of this one is one of the best. It has a very high 'coolness factor.' But all in all the Fieldsheer is a terrific jacket.

Excellent fit, excellent price
I wanted a black leather jacket that's not too showy. This jacket fits me very well (I ordered a size 44, I'm 6'2,190lb’s). The 6 vents are very effective at keeping me cool. Sleeves are long enough, fit is comfortably snug. The more I wear it, the more I like it.

Super Sport IV Jacket
Great design with excellent ventilation thanks to long zippers on chest and back. Buy one size larger than "normal' for proper fit. I've worn this jacket in 80 degree weather and it's fine as long as you're moving.
Only change I would like is elmination of the fabric inserts on inner sleeves -- they provide some additional ventilation that's not desirable in cold weather.

The quality of the material is very good. For me the arm length seems a little short I’m 6 ft 180-190 lbs. would ideally like about an inch and a half to 2 inches longer. Since I will use it for the colder months at the end of the New England season a good pair of gauntlets will make up the difference. The jacket and armor feel well fitted when in riding position. I feel pretty secure in this jacket.

Great Jacket
I have a Fieldsheer mesh, warm weather jacket that I am very happy with. Since I live in Missouri and commute I needed something to keep me warm when the temps started to drop. I chose the Super Sport IV over the Icon Motorhead for the mandarin collar and adjustable waist to help seal out the wind. When I came in this morning it was 34 degrees and windy. I use the full liner from my warm weather jacket as a 2nd layer and the combination keeps me nice and warm. My only complaint would be the stretch fabric under the arms. I'd rather have leather there to keep out the wind instead of the flexibility to raise my arms over my head. As recommended by other reviews, I ordered one size larger and got a perfect fit. I feel very safe and comfortable in this well made jacket. Worth every penny.

Super Sport Jacket
I’m a size 38 so I ordered a 40 and the jacket fits very well. While on the bike everything including the armor is very comfortable, but off the bike the shoulder armor tends to shift around too much. I wore it out riding today in 80 degree sunny weather and I’m not sure the vents are doing much, but I was very comfortable as long as I was going faster than 35. The front pockets have a bit of a small opening. If my hands were much larger I don’t think I could get them in there. Overall the

Well worth the money
The jacket runs slightly small on the chest size. I have a 48 inch chest so I ordered size 50. It fits perfect and the waist adjustment compensates for mobility. If you buy it, order one size larger on the chest. The armor and padding are excellent and do not restrict any movement. I wore it a few weeks ago when the temp was 19 degrees F and windy. Super Sport jacket
The quality of materials and workmanship of this jacket are both excellent. This jacket is a beast... put this jacket on and you immediately gain 10+ pounds. Due to the thickness of the leather and the build quality, this jacket will protect you from whatever the elements and the road throws at you. Great Jacket
This jacket is great for riding even in the Sunshine state. All you need to do is remove the inner liner.
Provides a feeling of security since it is meant for serious riding and is of excellent quality. Very breathable and comfortable to wear. Looks great as well if you are looking for an all black jacket.
Never ride without it.
